  • "The owner/chef worked for Morton's steakhouse for years and by the quality of the food, you can definitely tell. We had the roasted beet salad, filet mignon, and macadamia nut mahi mahi and all were phenomenal. The dessert (lava cake) and decor were the only things we weren't wild about but don't let that hold you back. The food & service were great!"

  • "We absolutely loved our dinner. It was our 16th anniversary and Michael's helped to make this a memorable one. The Mahi Macadamia was one of the best dinners I've ever had. My wife noted her Chicken Penne was delicious and the Chocolate Volcano Cake should be declared illegal it was so good! Service was impeccable and the 12 year old rum was a great finish to a wonderful experience. We will be back during our next trip."

Very nice covered outdoor bar and dining area, with a comfortable and elegant indoor dining area. Wine selections are paired very well with the selections on the menue. Food was great.   • "We had our farewell dinner in Key West. Sat outside in the enclosed garden. Had nice table by a little fountain. Temperature was perfect so if it was hot, I would suggest you sit inside. Michaels is not near the water and garden enclosed to no significant breeze. Our waiter was delightful. The food was excellent including all dishes, appetizers and desserts. One great dish after another. Not just seafood here as Michaels offers more quality variety than other restaurants we went while in the Keys We just had a great time and would recommend Michaels for any occasion."

We waited way too long for our food while watching several other tables receiving their food. When you are on vacation with limited evenings, waiting that long was not acceptable. Unfortunately the food and the ambiance was not outstanding enough to overcome the impression we now have."

From overcooked fish, to cold vegatables and potatoes. Award winning veal was not any better then what I can buy and prepare myself from Whole Foods. The only item worth a mentuon was the chocolate souffle. Expensive and dissapointing, avoid this restaurant."

  • "Michael's is a favorite haunt of ours while visiting in KW the month of March. We generally eat there several times. This last time it was after a sunset cruise so we requested the small plates. Some of us had the signature fish dish and others had meat. All of us enjoyed our meals and appreciated this option for eating later in the evening. We are certain to return next year."

Filet one of their specialties and was delicious. Reservations a must - several days in advance if you can do it."

  • "The restaurant's away from Duvall Street, so it's in a nice, quiet, area. We had 5:30 reservations and were seated immediately. Our server, Kristi, had a great personality and was excellent. We both ordered salads to start. The house salad w/lemon vinaigrette was very good as was the antipasti type salad w/creamy parmesan dressing. The dressings are made in house. Our main courses were mahi-mahi and veal saltimbocca. They both came with a seasoned rice and julienned squash. Both meals were outstanding. The veal saltimbocca was tender and topped w/prosciutto, sliced heirloom, yellow tomatoes, and manchengo cheese. We highly recommend dining here when in Key West. We certainly will again."

  • "I have walked by this restaurant any nights during my Key West visits. Tonight the four of us dined on fabulous meals, which we spilt! Kim was our server. Kim was outstanding! There is inside and outside seating as well as bar seating. We returned again for fondue at the captains table, strongly suggest! Do not walk by this restaurant, it was awesome."

  • "Spent an evening at Michael's since we heard it was a favorite of the locals. Food was good (Veal Porterhouse Special was very good and an unusual entree). The food was well presented and prepared. The high of the evening was the appetizer of scallops with a port reduction. That was one of the tastiest treats of our week in Key West. The service was so good as to be almost too much with numerous visits from our server. Seated on time in the outside patio at the rear of the restaurant near the bar. The tables were well spaced to give privacy. The cost was as much as we paid for our meal at Latitudes with their beautiful beachfront tables so we probably would opt in the future (for these prices) to eat at either Louie's or Latitudes."

  • "Steaks are supposed to be great but we figured we are in the Keys - so all about seafood. My husband and I both very happy with our entrees. (Swordfish and sushi-grade Tuna). Corn and crab chowder was good - but not great. The lava cake was amazing. Best ever. Good wine selection. Unfortunately, we were seated inside, which is a pretty bare and uninspired room. The patio is lovely. Next time I'll book earlier to make sure we can be seated outside."

  • "We had a recommendation from a friend in Massachusetts. We had a little difficulty finding Michaels, because we were on foot and our iPhone was not helping us. We knew immediately upon arriving at Michaels that it was all worth it. It is a very pretty, quiet atmosphere, which we love. My husband had the veal chop, which he said was the best he ever had. I ordered a Tuna which had a Asian flare. It was delicious. Please give Michaels a try we know you will be happy."

We had a wonderful dining experience at Michaela eating under he stars in backyard patio in private bamboo fenced enclave. Had amazing service and meals enjoying spicey tomato bisque, followed by filet and smoked chicken penne entree's. Awesome food and dining experience and definitely recommend!"

  • "Some out of friends were visiting last week and wanted to go the "restaurant that my wife and I are always telling them about" - Michaels of course! We took them on a Wednesday night and they were not disappointed. We started the evening with a round of martinis (Hendrik Gin is our favorite) and had a bottle of chardonnay - the Chamisal un-oaked. Our guest Joan and I both ordered from the "light side menu" - Chicken and Crab Imperial for both or us. My wife and Ed both ordered from the regular menu and had the Snapper Meuniere. The only disagreement of the whole evening was who had the best meal!"
