  • "I have been going to this restaurant for quite some time. The food is always fantastic. I always prefer the roof top dining and it was perfect for a warm week day night. The service was ok. It started off fantastic but only because we had an earlier reservation and there were not a lot of people there. The place filled up quickly and the noise level went through the roof and the service went down hill which included dessert that is normally wonderful but came out cold because of how busy our server was."

  • "I had a fabulous time at Michael's on Naples. We made reservations and arrived early so we went upstairs to the bar and enjoyed a few drinks. I thought it was really nice that you provide blankets for cold guests that are on the balcony (as the bartender gave a few out to cold guests). When the time came we were seated right on time. Our waitress was very quick and offered fabulous guest service. She did an amazing job making sure we had everything we needed and any questions we had were answered. The food was Devine. Thank you for an amazing evening"

The choices show off the chef's high quality and the service is prompt, friendly and smooth. The restaurant was full and the tables lively, a happy atmosphere.. The climb up the steep stairs to the rooftop "room" is worth it."

  • "Monday night was our first visit to Michaels and we enjoyed everything about the experience. It was a quiet night so we were seated quickly and encouraged to enjoy the evening because the table was ours. We did just that, starting with two finely crafted vintage cocktails. Although we were both tempted by the tasting menus we decided to craft our own to provide even more options. My wife's salad of sumo orange, butter lettuce, candied pecans, and Humboldt Fog cheese was absolutely wonderful. We shared a "Michael's Pasta" for the second course. Because all the pasta is made in house, it would be shameful not to sample it. My halibut was as beautifully prepared as any I can remember. The wine recommendations and service were spot on."

  • "Was so happy to get a table at 8:15 Saturday night - of course it was packed but the staff at Michael's are very accommodating which was much appreciated. The service is excellent and you can really rely on the knowledge of the server to enhance your dining experience. I had the same dish I had a few nights before (pasta with lobster) and although good it did not have the same presentation (sauce not strained or cooked down enough - lot of big tomato pcs) or yummy factor that it had a few days before. I would attribute this to a super busy kitchen on a really busy night which is why I like to go there when it is less packed. Everything else was amazing, salad, wine, desert and service - will definitely be going back and highly recommend!"

  • "I have eaten here since it's inception and the food is always great. What I would like to see is some changes to the menu. It is the same food over and over and over. Even the "specials" are repeated all the time. I would go more but at this point I go much less often since there is nothing new for me to try. As a one time visit awesome! As a repeat customer the menu, as great as the food is, is getting stale."

  • "While we enjoyed our experience at Michaels we couldn't believe that they charge $1 pp for water. The reason - they bottle their own flat or bubbly and it's all you can drink. It has nothing to do with the money. We've eaten at fine dining establishments all over the world and have never encountered this practice."

  • "We ate at Michael's for our fifth anniversary and sat upstairs on the patio. Every course was delicious and the service was friendly and excellent overall. We are not experienced high-end restaurant diners, but our waiter (I think his name was Blake) was very patient with us and did a great job of answering all our questions. The food was well timed, allowing us to savor each course before receiving the next. We haven't eaten in the dining room downstairs, but it seemed a lot more formal. We were glad we asked to sit upstairs on the patio (which is really semi-indoors) when we made our reservation. Overall, a memorable and delicious dinner!"

  • "First time to Michael's. We got the chefs sampler, on the recommendation of our accommodating server, Roberto. He also recommended a great red wine. The sampler is small portions, but is 4 or 5 courses. You don't go away hungry. Each bite is amazing. It was the most expensive meal I've had so far ($200 for 2 samplers and 3 glasses of wine), but I'd do it again for a special occasion.We went on a Friday night. It is a relatively small place, and it is very popular, thus pretty noisy. But you could still carry on a conversation. High noise level and no view, so not really romantic. But If you want the best food and service, micheals is the spot."

  • "Michaels on Naples is amazing, but I think it was an off-night for their specials menu. The lobster spaghetti was homemade but the pasta was heavy and the lobster tail was overdone. The stuffed rabbit entrée was good in concept but not quite executed correctly. The skin was way too thick and the fat was fully rendered, so the skin was chewy not crispy. Overall not a great night for their food, but we will definitely come back because I know the restaurant puts a lot of care into their food and wants to achieve perfection."

  • "We picked Michael's On Naples from Yelp. We had a party of eight and none of us had every been to this restaurant. What a fantastic surprise. We had reservations and we were seated within 10 minutes of arrival. The restaurant offered a "Tasting" menu with and without wine. We chose without wine at $49.00 per person. What an outstanding dinner. Everything tasted fantastic. Each serving tasted better than the last and the dessert was the best. The waiter was very attentive and worked hard to keep us happy. We sat upstairs which had a half open roof with a view of the night sky. I cannot wait to go back again."

  • "We arrived at our reservation time, but our table wasn't ready (no prob), we went to the bar. We waited at the bar for 20min trying to get the bartender's attention as he talked (while not making drinks) @ the far end of the bar. We never were able to order a glass of wine. Eventually taken to our table. Everything seemed nice: service staff (at first), food options. We ordered 3 courses. First course, the calamari was burnt and tasted like French fries. Second course 2 of the 3 received ours. When questioned, the server blamed us, even though she didn't get the order correct. This affected the entrees as well. The server took no corrective action with the bill. I tipped poorly on purpose and she overcharged my credit card. AVOID THIS PLACE"

  • "Michaels is a very special restaurant! Hard to get in to because it is SOoooo good!! Their menu is just long enough with plenty of options & everything is amazing!! This was our second visit & I cannot wait to go back! I had the osso bucco gnocchi & it was to die for. My husband had the sausage flat bread pizza & it was one if the most delicious pizzas he has ever had. They make their own sausage in house & I think that makes the difference in the awesome flavors! We are going back for sure!"

  • "The restaurant is small and you can hear everyone's conversations going on around you. The food is great but this place is pricey. Also, i was surprised the wine list was not better. I had not heard of 1/2 the wines on that list, which is surprising considering how upscale the restaurant is. I would definitely recommend going because the food is amazing, just get ready to spend about $300 for two."

  • "This was our first time at Michael's and it was fantastic! The waitress was friendly and the food was beyond outstanding! Every bite was full of flavor that burst in your mouth. It was by far, one of the best restaurant's I have been too. The only downside I could say about Michael's is that the tables are too close together. We had very loud people seated next to us that seemed to think they were the only one's that could hear their conversation. But overall, the food was superb, the wine was awesome and the service was great. I would definitely go here again."

  • "We had a great experience there. Our server was super nice and very good at what she is doing. Salads, pizza and pasta everything was so great. One think I would say is they charge water for $2 and it tastes tap water.(I gues it is) Also we noticed that when we got a bill. I think any restaurant try to show off they are high standard restaurants so that charging water is ridiculous. And hey, it's Long beach, not like West Hollywood or Beverly Hills. Still we enjoyed their food and wine. I would go there again."

We really thought the homemade pasta stuffed with braised duck neck could not be topped until we had the gnocchi with oxtail. Simply fantastic! And the wine pairings were spot on and our server was excellent. We will probably be back before she returns to Chicago!"

  • "We met a couple for dinner there that we haven't seen in a while. They had never been to Michaels and us only once before. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with very friendly hostess and took us to an awesome booth where our friends were waiting ! The waiter was very knowledgeable and the menu had a lot unique items that made my taste buds begin to party! I ordered the prime New York, my friend the the ravioli fungi , her husband the lasagna and all of the enters were delicious and with such distinct taste which was lovely! Then Michael the owner comes By and talks to us for a while. Very very cool experience. Delicious food great staff and just a fantastic night"

  • "My husband and I received a gift card for Michael's and had a wonderful dining experience. The menu was nto traditional Italian cuisine, and some of the items were a bit too "different" for me, but the selections that we made were great! And the Almond Cake we had for dessert was awesome. We got there a little early and the hostess was most kind to try to seat us right away, however we were actually seated closer to our reservation time, which was fine. The waiter was very knowledgeable, and since it was our first time, went over the menu, wine list, and made himself available if we had any questions. We plan on going back to Michaels, and will not mind paying the bill this time : -)"
