We at Michael's on Main in Soquel offer cutting-edge comfort cuisine, with a comfortable fine dining experience. We are a green restaurant using local farmers for our produce, cheeses, & meats. We have a wonderful bar along with an extensive wine list from many local wineries. The ambiance at… Michael's is warm with indoor & outdoor setting. We have a gazebo that overlooks the Soquel Creek, which is nice for weddings & parties. Fireplaces in the bar/lounge and another in one dining room. Our walls are decorated with new local artist work each month. Thursday through Sunday we have live music for your listening & dancing pleasure. So come and join us for some Pot Roast & Mashed Potatoes, or a Rack of Lamb with Sweet Potato Fries. It’s a wonderful dining experience you won’t want to miss.Continued

"Michael always offers an excellent menu, both for every day and special occasions like Easter, The Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The back patio overlooking the creek is lovely. The live music fun. The bar and drinks are perfect and delicious. One of our family's favorites...for a special occasion, or just everyday eating."

"The website advertised Mediterranean night, with pomegranate chicken, hummus, etc. Instead there was a mediocre pasta with a few pieces of chicken, no hummus, nothing of interest except some mussels. Michael's was sitting there and we asked when the main entree would be served, and he relayed the information that what was out was the dinner. No one apologized. We would never go back for anything there."

"Good food, server was friendly but not especially proficient (had to read specials, didn't ask how well meat was to be cooked, etc.) Biggest complaint was the horrible karaoke that was wafting into the dining area from the bar. Do you really need amplified music in a 20x30 foot room? Michael's should decide if it wants to be a better restaurant or a local bar. Can't be both."
