Unser Ziel war es den letzten Abend unseres Urlaubs mit einem Steakessen zu beschließen. Ein einfaches Kettenrestaurant sollte es nicht sein und so beschlossen wir in dieses Restaurant zu gehen. Und es war eine gute Entscheidung, es war das beste Rib-Eye Steak, dass wir jemals gegessen haben. Unglaublich aromatisch, zart und auf den Punkt gegart mit krosser Fettkante war es wirklich sensationell und bei einem Gewicht von ca. 800 gr auch genug für zwei. Having lived in Peru for a number of years, we were looking forward to the Recent Peruvian offering. The food was good, as always, but definitely not typical Peruvian cuisine. I am afraid the chef tried to do too much with dishes that are a model of simplicity in cooking, particularly the cebiche and the anticuchos.They were too sophisticated. Food was excellent, Service from a waiter who has served us before was watchful but not stuffy or intrusive. Two of us had fish, one had steak and one had the monthly Peruvian special and said all his choices were good. Our fish (pompano and swordfish) were both cooked nicely, not dry, and served with roasted beans. And the gal who got the so-called 6 oz fillet (a huge fist of a piece of meat) was very happy with hers. Michael's is usually reliably pleasant. In addition, the place has style, which appears to rub off. Guests just do not come in there with shorts and baseball caps. The Crab and Tuna cannoli are out of this world. Each course was absolutely fantastic, in terms of both taste and presentation! The various blends of spices and herbs made each appetizer and entree spectacular in its own way. The desserts were wonderful. The chef is to be commended.
Our waiter, Mike, was attentive and knowledgeable. He helped to make the dining experience even more successful. I enjoy going to lunch there. I have also been at many banquet type events as well.
The dishes are prepared to perfection - aesteticlly pleasing and exquisite tasting!

As always, the atmosphere was Fabulous! Bringing in a group from the North for a Michael's experience. I just smiled with all the ahs as they looked around to take in the ambiance.
From the pleasant hostess, terrific waite staff, and engaging food, I achieved my goal to have them talking all night and the next day about your restaurant. The talk of "when we come back to Sarasota" we are definitely coming here again.
My sincere appreciation for the extras you provided us. Everything from champagne, appetizer, to excellent wine choices just was the frosting on the cake. The service very friendly and food very good (even though 2 of 4 Entrees were only lukewarm and needed to get reheated). The ambiance very classy. The pianist very good (good voice), but sometimes a hint too loud, so conversation at dinner a bit difficult. I don't drink martinis, but the IPad with wine and drinks lists an amazing number, with their ingredients, so I confidently ordered a Vesper martini, like James Bond in Casino Royale.
We had a great dinner, although for me it was a filet, not too creative. My wife had the 2 pound lobster, and our waiter prepared it for my wife, so no mess or bib and she loved it. Dessert was excellent.
There may have been a little wait here and there,but we weren't there to rush through dinner, and enjoyed the piano player,in the bar area.
