Another wonderful evening We sat in large leather chairs in the bar and had great drinks. Then it was off to our table where the service and food was top notch. I had the mint lamb chops everyone else had steak and homemade pasta dishes. I almost forgot to mention the appetizers. The calamari and cheese/meat tray was awesome. What can I say the place never disappoints.

This was the second trip my wife and I took out to this little hidden Italian gem. As always there was a great selection of pasta dishes. The seasonal squash soup was divine. My wife and I each got 2 half pastas, so four plates on the table! We shared a few bites of each and all 4 were decadent. Our waitress was great. She checked up on us regularly and discussed wine / cocktails well. Our 2004 Brunello (Gaja) actually opened up nice and quick in the decanter. Perfect! I rated ambiance a 4 because there was one guy in the back at a table of 4 who was EXTREMELY LOUD and OBNOXIOUS. I had asked the waitress about it but she could not do anything. Everyone around us was noticeably annoyed. All in all a great meal and service.

Our first visit was the night of a large wedding party. I would suggest that the restaurant not take other tables when it hosts a wedding, as the staff was obviously challenged. Service was not timely and my risotto cake was literally refrigerator temperature in the center. We see potential in the restaurant but can't help but feel we caught them on a bad night. Unfortunately, with several nice restaurants in the area it will be a long time before Michaelangelo's comes to mind again.

Michaelangelo's is possibly the best dining I've ever had. I took my wife for our anniversary which they remembered to give well wishes. We had calamari for an appetizer which was antastic and the stuffed veal ravioli and fettuccini with algoli oli sauce. (Hope I spelled that right) The wine was amazing. The atmosphere is romantic and the staff was very nice

Our meal was quite good. We enjoyed the calamari and escargot appetizers; both were excellent. After a considerable wait (okay, it was a Saturday night and the place was busy, but, still, 15 minutes between the end of the appetizers and dropping our main meal?) we enjoyed the scallops and shrimp with pasta and the ossobucco. Both were well prepared and delicious. The serve was attentive. The restaurant can get noisy when crowded. I would go back again anytime.

Generally a very good meal. My hsuband ordered the fish special and was disappointed that the special fish was not available. They substituted tilapia (with his consent). Although advertised as a white wine sauce with capers and garlic, the dish came with a heavy red sauce that drowned out the fish. My rack of lamb was very good, as was the risotto cake that was served with it. Salads (arugula with parmesan and a beet salad) were excellent.

Food quality ranged from 4 to 3 star great gnocchi and bread unamazing perline and out of whole wheat pasta. Main issue was well intended but inexperienced waitress who did not know the menu well, mid characterized the specials and was very inefficient. It took 90 min for pasta course to arrive. We may try again.

My wife and I recently went out to Michealangelo's for a night out. We ordered wine, shared the eggplant appetizer and a spinach salad. Dinner was gnocchi for me and my wife had a ricotta pasta. All was expertly prepared and satisfying. The only problem encountered was concerning the cleanliness of the restaurant. Being seated at a table for two next to the wall had us looking at a dirty stained wall which someone needs to clean, makes me wonder how clean the kitchen is. Based on that, would not return.

We enjoyed our dinners. My wife and her sister have the same birthday so Michaelangelo's was the choice. My sister-in-law previously dined there she said it was good. We ordered specials for the evening. Sole stuffed w/ crab, poorly seasoned, bland, Scallops w/ fettuchini, the best of all. Red meat sauce w/ pasta, mediocre . The best was my miscalculation on a bottle of wine. $100 that was great yet I did not anticipate that price per the wine list. I would recommend this restaurant cautiously, I had concerns regarding the overall experience.

We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and had invited ten members of our wedding party to join us. Everyone raved about the food, the wine list was rich and met all expectations and the service for a large group was excellent. Once we crossed under the bridge and into Little Italy, two people commented that it felt like we were on vacation - with all the lights, the quaint places to eat, the inviting atmosphere. Then pulling into Michaelangelo's we saw the beautiful brick building, were met immediatley by the valet and the experience went perfectly from there. Highly recommend this gem to everyone.

So I ordered the rack of lamb, which tasted like a candy cane with candy cane sugar. I bit one, gave my husband a bite of one, and my son a bite of one. My server asked if I liked the lamb, and I told her it was way, way too sweet and didn't have any lamb taste at all, and it was clearly overcooked. There was no pink at all. She shrugged, asked if I wanted to take it and the overcooked risotto home, I said no. She took it away, never apologized, got a manager, and charged me for it. Our bill was almost 200$ so it's not like I was looking for a free meal with my 70$ wine. My husband and son loved their food, but I don't go back to places with bad service.

We were looking forward to our first dining experience at Michaelangelo's. We had gotten rave reviews from a friend who has given them lots of business. The menu is impressive and sounds delicious. Presentation was nice, flavors well blended and appealing. BUT, it was as if everything had been prepared well in advance and had become dried out and overcooked. One of us had the steak special and gave it rare reviews. It was apparent that our server was having a bad night and wanted to be anywhere but there serving us. Her assistants were lovely and seemed to be overcompensating for her attitude.

This was our second time at Michaelangelo's and will always be at the top of our dining list whenever we visit Cleveland. Food is excellent, particularly the salmon on risotto, which we split as an entree which was perfect. Some of the entrees are on the large size. I could make a meal out of the fresh bread served with dinner. Excellent wine list, ambience, and very friendly staff. Noise level was minimal, as well, a must for my wife and I.
