  • "The lobster pot pie, which other online reviews raved about, wasn't what I expected - an ENTIRE lobster, dismantled and cooked in a bisque under pastry, and then reconstructed tableside. It was really, really, good, but a whole lobster for one person was way too much. About halfway through the enjoyment began to dissipate. It would have been better as a dish for two. Or I wouldn't have minded some generous pieces, and not the whole hog. My husband had the sea bass in dashi, which was a much more reasonable portion, and he was still talking about it two days later. Yum! We had the 3-course pre-theater meal served between 5:30 and 6:30. The 6-course offers a much better value IF you can stomach it - we were stuffed after 3 courses."

  • "My wife and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary at Michael Mina and we couldn't have been more delighted! We consider ourselves "foodies" and my wife is an excellent chef in her own right. We have eaten at many of the finest restaurants around (as well as internationally) and can honestly say that this restaurant ranks in the top 2-3. We opted for the Signature Tasting Menu with wine paring and it was phenomenal. 7 courses of pure excellence. Plus, the service was top rate. From the maître d' to servers, bussers and sommelier, everyone was extremely warm, friendly and knowledgeable. It made the entire meal a true experience!!!! Definitely worth the $$$. Cannot wait to return."

  • "We had the signature prix fixe menu with wine paring and it was delicious. It was well worth every penny. The tuna tar tar was fantastic; we savored every bite. The wine pairing was spot on; it enhanced the spices in each bite of tuna. The lobster pot pie was awesome; with large chunks of lobster. mmm. My boyfriend kept saying "this is good" after each bite! The ribeye was yummy! The only disappointment was the chilean sea bass which had a little fishy after taste. I thought the wine enhanced that fishy taste. Aside from the food, the service was awesome. Especially the sommelier (Cole?) and one of the managers (didn't get his name). We would definitely go back; maybe even tonight!"

  • "The food was excellent. We had the prix- fixe sunset menu with wine pairings. It was an amazing price for great food.The best lobster pot pie and the Sole was amazing. However the service was extremely rushed. We sat down at 5:45 PM and we were walking out the door at 7:15PM. For a nice expensive dinner ($350.00) I would say that was rushed. We were very clear that we had no place to go. This was very disappointing."

  • "I was celebrating my son and my daughter's college graduation here, and this was the perfect last fine dining restaurant we went to. In addition to the delicious food, they also provided us with 2 congratulatory desserts for the occasion. This was one of the best out of 7 nights of fine dining that we had. The wait staff was very friendly and easy to talk to, and we received excellent service. The sommelier, Cole Sisson, was also incredibly knowledgeable, and blew away our expectations. We would definitely come back again!"

  • "Had been wanting to try this place for a long time and was really looking forward to an amazing experience, but left disappointed. Tried both tasting menus - food sounded better than it tasted. The place wasn't very busy but our drinks didn't even arrive until after first course. Lobster was overcooked in the pot pie. Tuna and veal were under seasoned. Yellowtail and steak were the most memorable. Desserts were also good but everything else was just ok. Several courses came out where the server had to turn around once he realized we didn't get our utensils yet. This place just doesn't measure up to the meals I've had at competitors like Le Cirque and Sage, so I will not be returning and would be hesitant to try another Michael Mina venue."

  • "Recommended by a friend, but a big disappointment. Seated in Siberia. Martinis were ordered dry, but were delivered with lots of vermouth. That at least was rectified. The food was disappointingly flat, little or no nuance. Hamachi sashimi was bland to the point of tastelessness. Ahi tuna tartare was a huge (too huge, really) portion, but overpowered by ancho chili powder and Scotch-bonnet-infused sesame oil. The tuna itself was also tasteless and the whole thing cried out for soy or salt. King salmon was a ripoff: not king at all, clearly Atlantic, probably farmed. Sole was OK. Roasted beets were good. Banana tarte tatin was awful, though touted by our waiter: crust was thick and tasteless, no hint of brown butter caramel flavor."

  • "I have been to Michael Mina in San Francisco and thought, "OK, let's try Las Vegas." What a true find and wonderful meal. We arrived early at 5:30 pm for our dinner before a show. The three course early dinner was a find. the Onion Soup with Oyster, Lobster Pot Pie and Root Beer Float couldn't have been any better! I enjoyed the meal thoroughly and the cookie with the Root Beer Float were divine. I took one of the cookies back to the hotel room and had it the next day as a treat. Thank you for an excellent meal and wonderful evening. Service was top notch and the sommelier, Cole, was helpful and extended more information about wines in a region I will be visiting later this summer. What a treat to dine at Michael Mina."

  • "first time in Las Vegas and then this great food experience, high standard, same level to compare it with great french restaurants, for us was also a funny thing to notice that there is an Austrian wine recommandation we chose the seasonal and the signature and it was gorgeous each course, what I don't appreciate is the fact there is foie gras on the menu because that's an animal toture when you stuff them, but I'm not sur if they serve stuff liver."

  • "My husband and I have been coming to Michael Mina for years. This place never disappoints - first class service, delicious food, seasonal menus and romantic setting. It was a little more noisy than usual this weekend - but its nice to see Vegas making a comeback. The staff will always accomodate my husbands special requests due to food allergies. We will continue to come back."

  • "Great evening! We both had the signature menu, & I had the upgraded wine pairing. Caviar/salmon followed by the tuna tatare were both very good, sea bass was excellent as was the lobster pot pie, the only slight disappointment was the wagu beef which was surprisingly a little tough with one slice being completely un-chewable! The wines paired beautifully with all the courses, right down to the desert which was perfect. A tip of the hat to our server Nathan who must have overheard it was my birthday (we hadn't noted it was a special occasion on the reservation but coincidentally our adjoining 2 tables were both celebrating a birthday!) & surprised me with an additional "happy birthday" desert complete with candle, it was a very nice touch!"

  • "We took the signature tasting menu. The price is very reasonable for a six course tasting menu. The wine pairing is also very reasonably priced even the premium wine package. If you want to enjoy this dinning experience to his fullest I strongly recommend the wine pairing. Service was good and professional. The sommelier was giving a very appropriate wine description and some background of the producer. One critic, when our wine was served by other staff members, they had no clue what they were serving and just reading the label on the bottle. I have never seen that in all the wine pairing menu evening I experienced. To finish on a positive note: Domestic Caviar Parfait & Wagyu Ribeye Rossini: wow! Miso-Glazed Chiliean Sea Bass, double wow!"

  • "The food and service here is outstanding. My wife and I both had their Signature tasting menu. We were hard pressed to say which was our favorite dish from this menu, but for us it came down to a toss up between the miso glazed Chilean sea bass in dashi broth and the lobster pot pie. Now for the warning: the portions served in the tasting menu are substantial. For us, the evening could have ended after the pot pie, but there were still 2 more courses remaining. The Wagyu Ribeye was undercooked when it arrived, but by that time we didn't care because we weren't going to eat it all anyway. Make sure that when you go here you arrive hungry. You won't be disappointed."

  • "Mina has a rather loose definition of "business casual" attire and they do not do a very good job of posting it so DRESS ACCORDINGLY! (Which apparently means pants and shoes, no shorts or sandals; although an exposed belly hanging out of a tight shirt is apparently permissible.) Furthermore, they have a RIDICULOUSLY priced wine list. The food, however, is sensational. The organic beet salad was divine, as was the steak and crab leg. (I say "leg" because there was only one meager crab leg but it was still tasty.) My father RAVED about the Shellfish Tasting appetizer and the Dessert Tasting Trio left us completely satisfied. Because we were dining near sunset, the shades were drawn, which took away from the ambience and pool views."

I want to go back many times to try everything on the menu, even food that wouldn't normally appeal to me because all the tastings led me to believe that nothing in this exquisite restaurant would not be absolutely delicious. I'm hoping to get back there soon and will definitely recommend it to those who would like a perfect meal. The décor is simple and elegant, When the drapes are open the view of the gorgeous Bellagio grounds is exquisite and the service was outstanding. Bravo, Bellagio and Michael Mina!"

WE HAD MADE A RESERVATION BUT WERE GIVEN A SMALL TABLE ALMOST ON TOP OF THE COUPLE NEXT TO US AND THERE WERE MANY OTHER FREE TABLES THAT WERE NEVER USED THE WHOLE TIME WE WERE THERE. WE WERE SO CLOSE TO THE PEOPLE NEXT TO US THAT IT WAS HARD NOT TO HAVE A CONVERSATION AND THEY ALSO THOUGHT THE FOOD WAS POOR! WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT. "

  • "Four of us were able to share a wonderful dinner experience at Michael Mina! Starting with the appetizers and ending with the decadent root beer float dessert. We were seated in the very back of the restaurant which was perfect for us...not loud, semi-private . Service was impeccable, great timing, and the wine steward made an excellent recommendation for a French wine that paired well with everyone's meal. I will return and will recommend the restaurant to any of my friends going to LV!"

  • "Surprisingly noisy, felt rushed ordered the two tasting menus with wine pairings. Poured our first wine and served first course before we finished our cocktails. Wade it clear we were in no hurry. Asked for a menu to follow along the different plates and waiter said you don't need that I will tell you! Problem was he only served one plate other 5 course by others some knew or there's did not or we could not understand. For almost 600 not what I expected. Food average, lobster pot overlooked, sadly. "

  • "In addition to their traditional menu, the restaurant offered 2 tasting menus. With the exception of one red meat course, the other 3 meat courses were fish or shellfish prepared in a unique fashion. Both tastings were the same price - $115. Wine pairings were available for both menus for an additional $66-$88. We chose a tasting with premium wine selections and we were allowed to substitute foie gras for caviar on the first course. The food and the presentation was superb. All of the wines were recognizable and a cut above the ordinary. The lobster pot pie was TDF. Service was prompt but not smothering. The price is a bargain and we have become converts to Michael Mina."
