Tucked in the lower level of the Fontainebleau - we found this to be a quiet, romantic spot in the early evening. Food was tastefully prepared and appropriately portioned. Would definitely go back there again to snuggle up in a cozy booth on date night!

The Michael Mina shine has worn off. The whole experience was disappointing. The food was ok, but just ok is not good enough for the name. The most disappointing item was the coffee, it was undrinkable due to being way too hot - the mls curdled in the latte. The server was nice-ish. I would never recommend this restaurant.

the steak was amazing, service great, lots of wine choices from 60$ to well over $1000. only one minor problem maybe between fountain bleau and open table?? went to hotels website, it sent me to open table and apparently there is two of these restaurants on Miami, and open table took the restaurant not at the fountainebleau? it was a Sunday night so it was quieter but maybe look into this

Really good food. We had the red snapper and scallops. Both were delicious. The yellow tail sashimi was very good. I think I ate the best Key Lime Pie there. Excellent food. Will definitely go back.

This place is all about quality service and incredible food. We enjoyed every second of our dining experience at this restaurant. It is also in the same hotel as the hottest nightclub in South Beach. The best part was that the club didn't interfere with our dining experience, but it was also convenient to have the nightclub in such close proximity! The burrata stuffed green tomatoes, grilled octopus, and strawberry, beet, and watermelon salad with whipped feta were to DIE for!!!

Sometimes hotels have really great restaurants and the Fountainbleau is one. Very creative menu that combines wonderful, diverse small plates along with "dim sum" carts (not Chinese) - just additional temptations from the Chef that are not on the menu - seafood, stone crabs and other wonders. E.g. I had a beef tongue small plate that was rich, complex, a little citrus for balance - a real treat. The octopus was out of this world. Plating in general is beautiful and compliments the tastes and taste combinations - a real trick. Oh, and don't forget the frites cooked in duck fat!!

This is the first review I have ever felt I needed to write. My husband and I decided to eat here while on vacation after hearing interesting reviews about the rolling carts and upbeat vibe. Our experience was anything but. My husband and I eat at a lot of top places and this was one of the most disappointing experiences. We only saw one cart the entire time, our server was uneducated about the wines and menu, the food was mediocre at best, and they overcharged us on the bill and didn't do any apologizing. One positive was that my wine was good as was my husbands drink. I would not go back.

Michael Mina's restaurants are always excellent. This particular one has a unique concept involving carts with unexpected items being pushed around. The plates from the carts can be selected as your meal alone or as complements to your meal. In addition, they offer many "shared plates" where either an appetizer or entree is served in a size appropriate for two people to share. It enabled us to sample a wonderful selection of a variety of plates. We definitely enjoyed the experience.

I should listen better ! Before going I read some Yelp reviewers about the poor quality of the food ar Mina"s and I could not believe it. So we went. The restaurant in locatedin a basement, it has an excellent acustic since it was a disco dance so you can oerfectly eat, listen music amd talk with no problem at all. The setting is veey nice, the service was excellent but the food was far away of Mina'sreputation. The 2 appetizzer were almost frozen, so they did not have any taste, the entree were just ok and the desssert were excellent. Overall it was a huge disappointment.

I love Michael Mena restaurants, and this was no exception! The food was delicious, and the service was good, which is always a bonus on the Beach! The problem is this restaurant is downstairs in the Fountainbleau Hotel! I hadn't been there in a while and I do not plan on going there again! It is a circus! It took us 30 mInutes to get our car after dinner! Since I am a local, I should have known better but, I really wanted to try this restaurant! To be fair it was a Saturday night, so maybe if you go during the week it wouldn't be as bad!

We have been to several Michael Mina Restaurants before and have always enjoyed them, but this one was a disappointment with the 85.00 per person tasting menu. It was lack luster and lack of flavor and creativity. However, Rouven, the manager, was really wonderful and did everything he could to make our experience better. The desserts he sent to us were really good and because of his concern for us and our experience I would give this restaurant another chance, but next time, I will order from the menu and not try the tasting experience.

Our dirty dishes were piling up but we were in no mans land by the bathrooms. It's sucked. Food was okay. Teeny tiny for $42 a plate but tasted good. Went to Michael Mina 74 this past weekend. The restaurant was nice and the ambiance was ok. We sat down and had to wait a very long time for our server to take our order. There were no specials mentioned and we had to ask for the Miami Spice menu - it was not offered to us. One of us ordered from the Miami Spice menu while the rest of us (3) did not. The food came out fairly quick which was nice but the food itself was lacking in flavor. The servings were very small as well and the persentaton was also nothing to write home about. The fish with 'shrimp fried rice' was a very small piece of fish and we looked very hard but could not find the 'shrimp fried rice' it promised. Not a place any of us plans to return to.

We went to 74 to celebrate a special birthday. As San Franciscans, we knew that a dinner at a Michael Mina destination would be wonderful. But the experience far surpassed our expectations - starting with the birthday card that was waiting at our table. Talia, our server, took excellent care of us, and we were visited by both managers (who both came from RN74 in SF). The dining cart/ode to dim sum experiment they are doing is fun and allowed us to try bites of some amazing dishes. We lucked out in being there for Miami Spice, which is a set menu for $40, so we got ourselves a deal on top of an incredible meal. We will be back on our next trip to Miami, for sure!

The restaurant was great, the food amazing and the whole experience was wonderful until we walked outside. Unfortunately the restaurant is inside the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach and the only parking available is through the hotel's valet parking. Even though the restaurant validates the ticket for a discounted $12 parking fee, the valet parking is HORRENDOUS. We had to wait 45 minutes for our car. After waiting 30 minutes and seeing that persons that arrived after us were leaving, we asked how much longer it would take. It turns out they had misplaced our car. There was another group next to us whose car had been scratched. It is for this reason that I will never return to this restaurant unless I take a taxi.
