It was myself, my mother, and my 2 1/2 year old daughter. We were staying next door and wanted a nice meal. I was very worried when I found out there was no child's menu, however the staff was amazing in accommodating my finicky little gal, they made her a grilled cheese sandwich, brought her some fresh fruit, some milk, & a basket of bread. She also loved the hand-cut fries. I have honestly not seen her eat so much in quite a while. I was so proud of her for being so well behaved, as were the patrons around us who complimented her. Our server Ben was great. Attentive, friendly & knowledgable. We had the garlic ciabatta with bleu cheese sauce following other reviews & it really is delicious! (1/2 portion on Ben's advice as we wanted to try 3 sides!) Followed with a bone in fillet that was as tall as 4 fingers high, but slid off the knife like butter. Fries, mac n cheese & asparagus on the side were all fab. Despite being full we shared the 23 layer chocolate cake just to see it (we took 3/4 home back to the hotel).
The only thing that could have made this meal better would have been catching a glimpse of Micheal himself (who apparently does drop in a few times a month)

From the moment we arrived were made to feel like royalty. Our server was knowledgaeable and attentive without being overbearing, He really made us feel special, The food was terriffic, with large portions and decadent sides (lobster mashed potatoes, anyone?). We went for my son's 11th birthday while we were visiting the city. Our waiter took great care of us, including offering kid-friendly items not on the menu. The service was great. Our waiter was knowledgeable and gave us the details without it feeling snooty. Prices were typical of any steakhouse and the portions were quite generous. We both took half our entrees home after enjoying an appetizer and saving room for the 23 layer cake we'd heard so much about. Next time, I would skip the cake and try some of their other appetizers. One of the really great things we discovered was valet. It was a super affordable option as they validate it at the restaurant so it's only $11 to park. I was hesitant to choose a celebrity restaurant, and was very pleasantly surprised at every turn. The hostesses were very accommodating for the wheelchair user in our party and couldn't have been nicer or more considerate. The restaurant itself is beautiful, but our server was the best part. I wish that I knew his name. Suffice it to say he is a heavy set Italian man with glasses and a serious passion for food and service. It was my fiance's birthday and our server, JC, went above and beyond. The steak was absolutely delicious, we got the porterhouse for two (filet mignon and NY strip); I don't remember enjoying steak that much in a long time. The sides, french fries with three dipping sauces, and carmelized onions, complimented so well. Lastly, the 23 layer chocolate cake is just so cool you have to get it. The restaurant is beautiful, but we did wish there were more memorabilia from Jordan. I was skeptical about the garlic bread, because come on, how can it be That good? But it was. It was baked squares topped with a light cheese sauce. Definitely follow the recommendations for this one.
Also, I had the onion soup. Usually people fail to make the broth well, but theirs had a lot of rich flavor. I was actually impressed.

Prior to choosing MJ's Steakhouse, I read select reviews and the dining experience seemed contingent on your server; contrary to what was read, our needs were met by more than one person i.e., recommendations were made, our glasses were filled, and our daughter was given stickers, and a coloring sheet.
Since becoming a mom, I notice where we are seated in restaurants; this was refreshingly different. Patrons and staff took the time to compliment our daughter. The appetizers were amazing also, we had their garlic bread and their bacon, both were outstanding. The steaks, of course, are outstanding, but it is the sides that really distinguish the menu. The garlic bread with buttermilk-blue cheese sauce is a must.
