Service is excellent and the food is first rate. It's about the same price as other steakhouses, but this one has something the others don't -- the upstairs reflecting pool and retractable roof! We however were able to get past that and have an exceptional meal that everyone in our party enjoyed. The butter cake was the highlight of the night. It was an expensive dinner, but worth every penny. The pool side seating was very nice an the roof opening created great ambiance. Once again an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. My only slight complaint was they called me the morning of my reservation to confirm, thus forcing me to call and confirm again. The ambience is just the best. They treated us like we were their best customer. (First time we ever went there.) The service was excellent, the food was the best. My NY Strip Steak was cooked to perfection. They surprised us with a desert which said Happy 25th Anniversary. We eat at many Phoenix and Scottsdale restaurants and I must state that the service at Dominick's Lincoln Avenue Prime Steakhouse was the best service we've experienced in any restaurant thus far in the Phoenix-Scottsdale area. They pay attention to little details like assuring they serve guests from the left and don't reach in front of anyone. Our server, Jonathon, was professional. Allowed us to taste 3 wines before ordering a bottle. Steaks were expensive but that was to be expected. They were cooked perfectly. Extreme saltiness of steaks was a disappointment. Had we been just the two of us we would have asked them to start over. Dining by the pool under the open roof was relaxing, gorgeous, and romantic. The seafood was fresh and surprisingly affordable for what you got. Also,, they had a broad wine selection from less the $30 to whatever you wished tp spend. We too, were not given the option to sit upstairs which would have been nice. The prices are very expensive. The only problem we had, was trying to use our Open Table check. We were quite embarrassed that the waiter had the manager come over to tell us we could not use it, since they were not set up for it. When we mentioned it says to use it like a travelers check, manager came back and let us know, that they would just comp many things on the check to get the 100.00 off. Michael Dominicks was recommended and I am glad it was. The steak was superb it melted in your moth with great flavor. Sides were great. And the for the finally you have to try the butter cake with caramel sauce - too die for. We had been to several steakhouses this week and Dominick's was scheduled for the end of the week. It was totally the best of all visited. Our only comment is that the portions are soooo large. I would recommend that the staff inform as quests are ordering. My rack of lamb could have served 3. A bit wasteful from my point of view, but you will definitely walk away with delicious leftovers.
Be sure to see the rooftop dining area. It's breathtaking. David, our server, was knowledgable and provided the extra tuches that made the evening. I would have liked to sit by "the pool" and enjoyed open air feeling, but we were not given that option.
