The food was great. We thoroughly enjoyed everything on the tasting menu. On one dish the crab was paired with steak and it was delicious. The wines were German, which we haven't tried much and we loved them. They were different and something we wouldn't have tried otherwise. The restaurant is small. I found the service to be attentive but not too much. Everyone was helpful and informative. The food was top notch. The restaurant serves modern american food with a changing menu based on ingredients. I learned that from talking to our server, Will, who was fabulous. The service is classical french style. They also have a nice wine list with very reasonable prices. The service was attentive without being intrusive, the wine suggestions were great and the food was simply amazing. We did the 5 course tasting menu and each course was wonderful and inventive, using many very fresh, seasonal items. The foie gras ravioli with chicken liver ragu may have been one of the best things I have ever eaten, literally. Because of the price of our meal, this isn't an every day kind of place (for us), but we will certainly be looking for ANY excuse in the very near future to return. While every course was delicious, the outstanding dishes of the evening were the foi gras, the marrow ravioli, and the pork tenderloin. The amuse bouche and the complimentary chocolate truffles were a special treat.
