  • "We love Spanish food and tapas, but in Spain, tapas (from what I understand) are meant to be a snack between meals. And they are just that - appetizers, but are priced rather high considering that if between two people you order 5 or so tapas at between $10-13 each, you've already spent about $50-60 on food, which in a regular restaurant would be two dinners. But with tapas, you are only getting very small portions (3 shrimp or 3 meatballs), which is not enough to fill your belly. Just keep that in mind if you go here. They do offer paella, but there are not many other menu options for a full meal. As for service, they were severely under-staffed and we were neglected."

  • "We participated in the $13 all you can eat paella which is well worth it if you come hungry and have time to stick around for a relaxed meal. I love that area at Hannibal square; especially on weekends for lunch. The only bummer about this place is that the other paellas are crazy expensive ($45-54 each for 2-3 people; I just can't justify that for one dish even if shared but I'd really like to try their seafood paella). Okay service; had to ask for water to be refilled every single time. Great restaurant atmosphere and one of the only places with plenty of space on a saturday/sunday around park ave."

  • "I read reviews of this place where they said service was bad but the food good. Gave it a shot after finding an open table spot and got in no problem. Saturday evening 630pm lots of open tables. When ordering we were warned of the 45 minute wait for Paella as it's made from scratch. Service was good as we had a nice waitress take care of us and was personable. From the previous review i found out many booked on Valentines and complained about service, well that valentines and everywhere is going to be packed so that's to be expected."

  • "I love Tapas, and I got a double bonus when I looked on the OpenTable website and not only got a 1000 points for the reservation, we also had a fantastic meal. We ordered a lot of different things, the most memorable for me was the oxtail, recommended by the server, and it was fantastic. The prices were extremely reasonable, on street parking was available on a Monday night (and it was open). I highly recommend this restaurant!"

  • "We didn't know where to go for lunch when we decided to try mi Tomatina. We had eaten at other restaurants in the area but had never tried this one. mi Tomatina was better than our expectations! The service was outstanding and the tapas were amazing. We tried one of their salads and several of their regular main dish tapas and the food was excellent. We highly recommend this restaurant and will be back to try their unlimited paella lunch on Saturdays and Sundays."

  • "What a great place! We were seated outside, but turned out to be great even though it was colder than anticipated. We were seated under outside heater and provided blankets, nice touch!! I can't say enough about the food and service. I lived in Spain for 3 years and the paella we had brought back very pleasant memories. We really enjoyed the white Sangria, will try the red next time. We will definitely be repeat diners."

  • "Our party of 6 had a fabulous dinner at Mi Tomatina recently. We ordered two paella dishes, as well as two bottles of wonderful Spanish red wine -- as well as sangria (for the non-wine drinkers). The food was not only superb, but it quenched the appetites of six hungry men! Mi Tomatina has very reasonable prices, very pleasant ambience, excellent live music (on Fridays), and a nice wine list. I highly recommend this restaurant if you enjoy tasting food that is truly Spanish in flavor. Our server, Daniel, was also most accommodating (and he displayed a wonderful sense of humor)."

  • "Mi Tomatina is one of our favorite restaurants. There are great tapas choices to share with friends and family. The meat balls, calamari, spinach croquets and chicken empanadas are some of our favorites. They also have wonderful paella. The service is pleasant and professional. Our favorite server is Juan Carlos who is knowledgable about the food and wine and greats us warmly whenever we dine there. If you want to enjoy delicious tapas and a nice glass of wine in a pleasant environment with excellent service dine at Mi Tomatina!"

  • "A delightful dining experience – we chose the butternut squash soup.. it was amazing, the lamb chops were cooked to perfection and the vegetable paella was fantastic. Our server was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable about the food and wine, he helped us choose a lovely wine that complimented our meal .   • "We've dined here several times. Food has always been good, served at the appropriate temperature. Don't expect to be rushed. Each tapas is prepared as you order, giving you time to enjoy your food, wine and conversation. We've been for brunch and dinner on several occassion, had both tapas and paella - nothing was bad."

  • "We had reservations through open table and after we got seated waited for 1 1/2 hours before my husbands wine arrived. That was the ONLY thing at our table! No water, no drink for the lady. They had a note on open table that they would be serving champagne with dinner...that NEVER happened. We asked the server for an honest answer on how long it would be after we had waited for 45 minutes and he said just a couple more minutes. That was a lie!!! I really want to try the place again because the ambiance was great but the experience was HORRIBLE! Needless to say after that long of a wait we left hungry and disappointed...we wanted the Spain flare so we drove to Ceviche Tapas and Bar, old reliable! We recovered the night."

  • "We went back to Mi Tomatina after a good initial visit. On the second visit, our waiter was a dud...and the restaurant let us down. The food is good, but our waiter was smarminess not very attentive. No silverware, repeat requests for things. We ordered several items from the standard menu only to be told multiple times that they were out of that dish. By the third time, it was getting ridiculous. I don't think I'll go back. Too many great restaurants out there."

  • "Had great recommends , so I went for my daughters 20th birthday with 7 people. Tapas was good, but their signature dish Paella was actually very fish and wet! I think I can make better Paella. Service was very minimal... Can't believe they just charge 18% automatically. One person had Lamb Chop, came out way too early, And got very cold waiting for everybody's food. It took another 15 min to warm it up .,, They didn't even have any kind of hot sauce to go with Paella.."

  • "We felt the location is great with seating on the street and we greatly enjoyed the music and service we recieved. It is a great place to go to meet friends to have drinks. The tapas we tried however were not good and we are hoping that it was just an off night. The fried balls tasted as if the oil needed to be filtered. The garlic shrimp smelled fishy and the flatbread was extremely chewy though the topping was good. We will give it another chance to try some other options just because we enjoyed the venue so much. The outside bar is a great hide-a-way. Two large tvs to watch your favorite sports in a beautiful tropical environment."

  • "Made a reservation for a party of 12, one week in advance for a company dinner on a Tuesday night. We arrived on time. Nobody was available to seat us! We seated ourselves after waiting 10mins. Nobody approached us to take a drinks order for another 30mins! Finally got drinks 1hr 15mins after we arrived! Requested the heaters to be turned on 5 times before they switched on the FANS! Finally they turned on the heaters (2hrs after arrival)! They were so short-staffed. Nobody to check on us; when they did, they did not listen to what we ordered. They were rushing."

As we were in town on vacation, we'd never dined there and asked for recommendations. Our server was very thorough in his selections and we opted for an array of tapas. The courses were well-timed, well-portioned and delicious! We munched on a fabulous cheese selection throughout our hot dish options and sipped a wonderfully potent Sangria throughout. Not a single dish disappointed; my favourite was the stuffed baby squid while my husband adored the oxtail. The cap to the meal was the live Spanish guitar music and wonderful ambience."

  • "This was a simple, cute little restaurant on a nice street. However, there are a few cars/motorcycles that will negatively affect the ambiance. The food is a little better than average, and service is a little slow, but I want to believe it is a part of the full Spanish experience. It will be my restaurant of choice for girl's night out, a first date or a quick bite after work."

  • "Decided on this restaurant based on points value from Open Dining. No regrets! We sat outside near the band. The music was not too loud where we still couldnt talk to each other. The waitor was proactive and friendly. The food was delicious! We ordered tapas (chorizo and lamb). Meat was tender, moist, and I wanted more and more. We got the Valenciana Paella which was also cooked perfectly. We had enough to take home for leftovers and even re-heated it tasted great. We ordered red sangria pitcher which was great. For two people the pitcher yielded us about 3 glasses each. I would definitely return!"
