Mi Tomatina is a pleasant surprise -- on a beautiful street, offering pleasant sidewalk dining and an array of nicely prepared tapas dishes in the Spanish tradition. Our experience, following a spur of moment decision, was fun and interesting, and we will return for sure.

Our waiter was charming, courteous, skilled, and professional. The food was delicious and, with the help of our waiter, each dish came from the kitchen at exactly the right time. If we lived in Winter Park, we would be dining at mi Tomatina at least once or twice each week, year round.

The food was okay. The cheese plate was fair with three types of cheeses but not many accompaniments. The waiter didn't explain the types of cheeses or other options to accompany the cheese. The scallops were good, but didn't have much flavor. The service was lackadaisical and despite no other occupied tables, we were told a large party was coming so our first choice of table was not available - the party didn't show while we were there. Overall, not a great experience.

This was my third time here. Do not know what happened but service was the worse ever. Our waiter was never there. When he did take our order the appetizer came out an hour later. One by one. so it took two hours for appetizers. The paella came out two hours later and was horrible. I think someone spilled a box of salt in it. Never again!!!!!
