The insalata tricolore is always a nice start to begin the meal. We also ordered the gnocchi, the sea bass, and sea scallops, all cooked perfectly and arrived quickly to our table. Very impressed with the size, scope, and natural feel of the place. Everyone was attentive, most particularly Ari our wonderful wait person. Just the right amount of attention, always there and helpful. Very impressed with wine list which gave an outstanding selection at all prices. They had both an inexpensive Nero D'Avila, something you don't always see, and a pricier (and worth it) one. Food very good , oso bucco was perfect, and the best compliment was that both girls took doggie bags of their pasta with bolognese and then took it to lunch the next day. All desserts were excellent. Once again kudos to Ari for the fantastic attention. Our waiter this past time, Luigi, was so friendly and knowledgable. He had great timing and was very knowledgable of both the menu and the wine list. When we arrived, we were seated by two other seated parties, even though the rest of the restaurant was wide open. I would think for a little more privacy they would have at least spaced us out a bit. Also, at the end of the meal, they had us fill out a survey for a free bottle of champagne for our anniversary, but they didn't mention that at the beginning knowing it was our anniversary. The salad (beet and goat cheese which was actually made with brie) was not great. It would have been much, much harder to afford this place in this economy without the Groupon, and I am so grateful for having had it! Now, we are already planning to return.The food was elegant and perfect in flavor, not weighed down by sauces meant to "disguise"--just delicious ones that enhanced as accompaniments.
A restaurant is defined by its staff as much as its food, and both were superb. We were made to feel at ease and were given a wonderful table (not stuck off by the kitchen door!). We enjoyed every single minute of our experience. Mi Piaci? Your Groupon paid off. We will definitely be back--and bringing friends with us as well. The food is excellent, the layout is well-done and you can actually carry on a conversation, which is nice. They recently spent a fair amount updating the interior and did a nice job.
Good selection of foods--pasta, meat and fish. Dishes were well executed (plates where not hot enough, which drives me crazy) and very fresh ingredients.
Wine list was solid.

Both entrees were fresh and delicious. We ordered an appetizer to share, and while we did not get what we ordered, what we received was delicious....though it was rather a surprise to get the bill and find our appetizer was $26 as opposed to the one we ordered at $16. Service was nice though slow at times. We weren't sure our waiter was truly listening to us as we asked questions and ordered since he kept asking us to repeat our order.
