It had been a while since we'd had a meal at Mi Piace - remembered it as being a bit crowded and noisy - went with another couple on Saturday evening and was pleasantly surprised. The room wasn't as crowded as I remembered, we were seated right away (had reservations) and were able to carry on conversation at a normal level. The food was quite tasty, as was the ginger-lime margarita before. We'll be back soon!

Elena took such wonderful care of us. I've been dining at this restuarant for about 12-years, it's always a terrific experience. I always order the Antipasto de Mare and I wasn't thrilled w/the change. Please add Gluten-Free items.

This is not a restaurant I would recommend. On a Saturday night the restaurant is very busy and noisy. My dinner was not good but no one else in the party I was with complained. No complaints about the service. I would not go back.

We had a reservation, but we still have to wait for another 25 mins after the reserved time to be seated. We asked the hostess couple times on how much longer we have to wait for our table because we have 2 kids with us, she just told us we got there 10 mins early instead of trying to get us the table on time. I think 5-10 mins wait is acceptable, but 20-25 mins wait after the reserved time is not acceptable. It defeats the purpose of making a reservation. Also, arriving 10 mins early is better than showing up late for our reservation. We deserved a better attitude from the hostess because we arrived early. After all, we did wait patiently for a total of 35 mins upon arrival.

My guests and I have always found Mi Piace to be a most enjoyable restaurant. We have been enjoying this restaurant since 2003. Really a gem of a restaurant in old Pasadena.
However using "Open Table" as a reservation service seemed to really confuse their staff.
We were on time and there was not a table ready.
We waited an additional fifteen minutes (which was not unreasonable really) but the staff kept asking how I made the reservations and what was my name. Perhaps some additional training for the staff? I had to physically point my name out on her computer monitor.
At least this was only the second time this occurred.

Mi Piace has a trendy and classic vibe fit for a multitude of individuals looking for a great combination of good food and drinks, an upbeat ambiance, and a good price for it all. You get the best of a restaurant and lounge with an attraction that goes beyond the menu, drinks, and music. This has been one of my favorite spots in Pasadena for years and it has never seemed to amaze me how good I feel about myself and the company I am in when I am there.
