Diner Reviews
  • "My wife and I celebrated our 43rd wedding anniversary at Mezzanotte and it could not have been better. The staff allowed me to stop by early and choose our table, and made sure that when we arrived, the roses and card that I had brought by were on the table, waiting for her. During the meal, the staff was attentive, but not overbearing. The meal was excellent. We will return."

  • "First let me start by saying our server was phenomenal...but that's as far as it went for "good" at Mezzannotte. We are recent Cypress-ites, moving from inside the loop--which we have found to be an issue for our taste buds now that we are in Cypress! The restaurants in Cypress have time and again, been disappointing. My husband ordered the wedge salad--the dressing had soured!!! It was truly SOURED!!! My lasagna tasted like it had been frozen and reheated, it lacked flavor and was served so hot that you couldn't even begin to eat it for several minutes and my husbands pasta sauce tasted about like what you would get out of a jar. The concept is nice, but the food does not perform."

  • "Service was fine but two of our dishes were poorly done. Seafood and veal was good but lasagne and spaghetti dishes were poorly seasoned and not recommended. Caesar salad and pasta dish on an earlier visit were also poorly done."

  • "For a great place to take your wife for a special occasion Mezzanotte's is the place to go. The service is excellent and a neighborhood place we love to go."

  • "We really enjoyed our evening here. The atmosphere is upbeat with unique art on display and vibrant colors. The service was wonderful. Our food was excellent, from my linguine seafood del mar to husband's lasagna and daughter's vodka penne. Wonderful salads. Side bar - if you like strong drinks this may be just the place for you. A woman next to us asked her waiter to send her dirty martini back because it was too strong. Don't here that very often. The bartender couldn't have been nicer to her and quick to fix the problem."

  • "Joined with our family for a Mothers Day Brunch. Very nice selections with the set 3 course menu. The filet and eggs, sole, and cheesecake were favorites in our group. Nice touch adding bloody Mary's and mimosa's to the special offerings. "

  • "Mezzanote remains one of the top dining experiences in the Northwest Houston area. Its creativity and presentation are unique to the area. We have never been disappointed here."

  • "We had a great brunch for mother's day. Food and service were great as usual. We love Mezzanote. It's a high quality restaurant near our neighborhood. They treat you like family."

  • "I took my wife there for Mother's Day Lunch. Although we had eaten there once before, it had been several years ago and I didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent and the service was attentive without being overbearing. The serving sizes were correct, so we didn't feel stuffed when we were through dining, but we felt as though we had eaten enough. My wife was presented with a rose for Mother's Day, a nice touch. We will definitely return, next time, with friends."

  • "Food and service were exceptional as usual. We particularly like the entertainment provided by Kevin Weisharr--his selection of primarily Sinatra and Buble is perfect for this restaurant!"

  • "Terrible service takes a long time for food to come out and then it's cooked incorrectly. Wanted to charge a $10 cake cutting fee for her bday cake we brought in. Thanks for ruining a festive evening. Won't be back and won't recommend. Small restaurant trying to charge big restaurant prices."

  • "Who knew a lovely, Italian restaurant would be nestled in the corner of a neighborhood strip center?! We overheard people talking about Mezzanotte so decided to give it a try & were pleasantly surprised. The service was great, the wine selection quite nice and the menu delicious. My husband had the Caprese salad & I had the Wedge (which he finished & loved!). Then he tried the Veal Chop while I had the Osso Bucco and they were both wonderful! It seemed other patrons were regulars and they were greeted warmly by the staff. There was a nice, full bar positioned right in the middle which was almost full when we arrived. They had a singer that night who had a lovely voice (Frank Sinatra/Michael Buble type music). We will definitely be back!"

  • "We have dined at this establishment several times in the past though haven't been in awhile. I noticed when we arrived the place Saturday night it wasn't very crowed, not like in the past. The food took awhile to get to use and it was extremely small portions though the price on the menu reflected otherwise. The quality and taste of food was good but felt after the main course I just finished the appetizer. I think for the money I would rather go somewhere else where I felt I got more value."

  • "I went with a couple of friends, and it was our first visit to the restaurant. We loved ordering a lot of different tapas and sharing them. It gave us an opportunity to sample a wide variety of dishes the restaurant serves without having to commit to full portions. Just about every dish we tried we liked, and many that we loved. I can't wait until next time!"

  • "Great food and atmosphere! The wine list is broad and deep. Tapas nights ($5 each) are a wonderful way to sample the variety from this kitchen. The owners are on site and make you feel like family."

  • "My husband and I decided to try this restaurant for their advertised Valentines Day Dinner. $55 per person, 4 Course meal. Sounded like a pretty good deal even though we had no idea what the food being served would be so we made reservations. The ambiance of the restuarant was nice, good entertainment, and the wait staff were very attentive. Our biggest issue was that the portions served were minimal. The food served was OK, and we felt for that money that we were paying, we would have had a much nicer meal elsewhere. We won't go back or recommend to any of our friends. Sorry! Bring your prices down and portions up."

  • "While the food was good, it was overpriced. The service was good but we were given a table right at the kitchen door, which shouldn't have been there in the first place or traffic should be diverted. I don't like the feeling of wait staff breezing by me non stop while trying to enjoy my food."

  • "A perfect evening. The host made us feel welcome the second we walked in. Connor had a feel for our table from the start. The food was outstanding. A Rib eye that could give most steakhouses a run for their money. Made a spur of the moment dinner feel like I planned it for weeks. Thanks again!"

  • "Went here for Valentine's Day. The restaurant is well decorated and has a powerful yet relaxing ambience. The bar area is nice. Initially I did not see much on the Valentines menu. I ordered what I thought I would like and was well pleased. The food was fresh, well-prepared, well presented, and delicious. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant."

  • "The ambiance was terrific because of the entertainment. The food was excellent and the service good. The wine list was good. Our guys bith wanted one of the wine ties, since we are in a wine group and are investors in a winery in Sonoma County, Ca."

  • "This was a terrific spot to enjoy lovely foodie items, enjoyed their assorted tapas menu, enjoyed a bottle of champagne. We brought our 8 year old boys, too, to get them out to see a nice restaurant and they were delightful young men enjoying our great neighborhood spot too. We love the Wednesday tapas menu and will return."

  • "We went there for a birthday celebration. As always, Mezzanotte did a fabulous job - delicious dinner, great wine, well-paced attentive service. Filet and lobster was delicious. Very descriptive wine list - one of the best I've seen with great values all the way up."

  • "This is the third year we have made reservations at Mezzanote for Christmas Eve dinner. We order something different each year to sample new items, and are never disappointed. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is elegant and festive but quiet enough for us to carry on a conversation, and the fact that it is within five minutes from home is an added plus. We intend to repeat this tradition in the future as well."

  • "Although my neighbors have known about Mezzanottee for a few years, it wasn't until December 2013 they suggested we should go there. What a delightfull surprise The ambiance was "there", the service impeccable, a "foodies" discovery. The portions were small but it was the "special" of the evening - ones palate could easily distinguish, this culinary meal had "soul" and was prepared by chef(s)who knew what they were doing, and it was outside the "loop", in the Tomball area! My only reservation .... the wine pours were somehat "reserved" , most unfortunate considering the house Pinot was excellent. Can't wait for the return visit! LS"

  • "Mezzanote is an intersting restaruant. The decor makes the intimate spot a natural for those looking for options outside of the cookie-cutter establishments that feed the masses. The servers were attentive and knowledgeable concerning the menu. I found the food adequate. Calamari was tasty and I suggest that you give them a try. Salmon was good but I would look for another pairing option as the spinich was lacking. Lobster ravioli not amogst my faves. Overall I would definitely give this a try again but I would bring more money as it wasn't a cheap date!"

  • "We took our mom here for her birthday lunch before a day of shopping, and as is always the case the restaurant was excellent. The staff catered to our every need even going so far as to create a small birthday treat for the three of us to share. We have been here several times for lunch, dinner and have never been disappointed. I would highly reccommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a night or day out good food and excellent staff."

  • "Tapas night is a special treat. The fried calamari is the best we've had. All the small details are perfect, from the bread and olive oil to the LED candles. Great job, as always. Mezzanotte is one of the best restaurants in Houston - no need to go inside the Loop."

  • "For the price you would expect better food. This place only stays in business because of a local clientele that frequents it with their social security checks. The food was very average and we were very disappointed. The sauce on the lasagne reminded me of spaghetti o's from the one time I tasted them as a kid. A lot of pasta, very little meat and a lot of cheese. I also expect when I order a glass of wine to get more than one finger in the bottom of the glass. The waitstaff portrayed a zombie movie with no expression and we felt like it was a chore to serve us."
