"Tapas style dining... great for sharing, or to try something new. We had the bacon wrapped dates, the shrimp w/black beans and rice, the goat cheese/tomato tart, and the lambchops. All were delicious. We were there on a Wednesday, and they have 1/2 price bottles of wine on Wednesday, which makes the wine more affordable. Thought the wine bottles were overpriced for the regular prices."

"The food was decent although the chef lacks a sense of proportion when it comes to spices. The calamari was perfectly grilled, but it was smothered with too much oregano, a shame because the flavor of the calamari was spot-on. Peppercorn beef should have pepper, but this had way too much black pepper and it ruined the dish. The boursin-stuffed peppadews were nicely done; unusual and well-executed. My main complaint is the noise level. I like a lively atmosphere, but between the deafening music, and the hooting and hollering drunken bachelorette parties (at least 2 of them), the place seemed more like a twenty-something rowdy bar, rather than a fun and hip tapas restaurant, the image I think they want."

"The place didn't start filling up until 8pm so it was probably better for a late dinner. Our server was great. The same bread seemed to be paired with every other dish."

"We only found Meze because we were looking for a place near Three Walls Art Gallery. We could not be happier! Our server, Sheck, was gracious, kind, efficient and generous! We had invited our neighbors to come along. We all had a great time - 8 tapas - plenty of food. Each one unique in its own way. Not too crowded or noisy - a perfect place to go before the show. We would highly recommend!"

"We were excited for a girl’s night out with a start at Meza! We began with our drink orders off the "specialty drinks". Although a bit different; just average. I did not order another. The food was average. Would fill you up if you ordered enough and decent to share. The service was what spoiled the evening. Our server brought us drinks and it was slightly spilled into my shoe (no biggie). The last tapas arrived, the server set down quesadillas. We let him know we did not order this dish. He responded with, "yes, you did. I repeated it back to you". I politely let him know that it is loud in there and was sorry if I didn't hear him. (Meanwhile, I didn't even know they were on the menu!?). He responded: “I wish I had a tape recorder". Yikes!"

"The food was amazing and the mood of the place is romantic and dim. The first hour or so my friend and I were dining, the music was a little weird...top 40 at a Tapas place??? But after a while, the music changed and it fit the mood/ambiance WAY better! More ethnic and definitely more suitable. The food was fantastic and this is definitely a great place for a date or a special occasion. The only thing I would say is that my friend and I really weren't sure who our server was because we had multiple people waiting on us and aside from being a little confusing, it was also a little annoying. Either way though, we did have a great time and the meal was delicious!"

"We were excited to try a new Tapas place. When I called they STRONGLY sugested having a reservation for Saturday night, so we did. When we got there place was dead - there were people at 2 tables.
Food was ok at best. THe bacon wrapped dates were wonderful. The Sangria - TERRIABLE! I have had wine coolers that were more authentic tasting. Their sangria was like koolade with some old fruit cocktail thrown is. There were chunks of old, browning fruit that I had to pick out of my drink.
We ended up leaving within the hour, and headed somewhere different.
I will not be going back or recommending Meze."

"We went with an out of town relative. Every plate was excellent. Really liked the red sangria, fish tacos, beef chimichura, goat cheese peppers, and goat cheese with tomato sauce. We have been to Meze before, but this time the food was even better."
