"A very embarrassing and disappointing evening with friends. Take out and staying in would have been a better move. The service was not professional
We are in the business,and we know that things can happen which are out of your controll. An attentive server would have kept us informed. We have never been to any Resturant in Portland that we had to wait 45 to 50 minutes from salad to entre. To make maters more difficult we watched a stretch SUV drop several guests who were seated in the booth behind us after we had our order in and their food was on their table before ours. Finally served and acknowledged the house made the deserved apology I can only imagine what was going on in that kitchen ."

"The food was very good, but this restaurant is very expensive and the portions are small. I also think the wine list is expensive. This was brunch and I did enjoy a nice sparkling wine from Spain. For dinner i wish they had a reasonably priced (not cheap) chardonnay from California."

"A quiet little spot on the street car line, it is near the edge of the Pearl. Given that we came on Easter Sunday, I was expecting to be a lot busier, but ended up being our party and a couple other tables, so it was very quiet. It was nice weather also, so we got to stroll around the area beforehand. The food was outstanding, expecially the Pork Belly hash and Fried Quail and Waffles. The service was OK, but as quiet as it was, I expected them to be right on top of us when we needed anything and a couple of times, I had to get up and look for someone. Otherwise, it was a good experience, especially if you like to try new and unique food."

"Our first visit; I would go again. The menu is brief, but all of the items we ordered were very tasty and well-prepared. Our server was efficient but not at all friendly; the other staff we encountered were very helpful. The main reason I'd go back is the wine list and their approach to serving wine. I don't know any other Portland location that offers so many by-the-glass options, and we loved the flights we tried. Although it's spendy, this is definitely a great spot for trying a wide variety of wines."

"the service was incredibly poor. we waited a long time between each serving...began to wonder why it was so slow...did a cook not show up or what? when the food finally did arrive it was good but not great. then we waited and waited finally for a check. had to go in search of our waiter. We had the pork chop, trout, duck and steelhead. We were taking our friends to dinner as a thank you. To receive such disappointing service at the restaurant made us decide that we would never come again."

"This is my second time at Metrovino. I remember the first time the food knocked my socks off. Not so much this time. I had the pork chop, which was very flavorful, but dry and tough. My husband had the duck, which was oilier than he'd like. It was an enjoyable evening, but not worth the price."
