Metropolitan BistroA pleasant surpriseWe had no idea how this place would be, but found it that we really loved it. The decor is very bright and inviting. There is somewhat of a neighborhood bar science, but it did not disturb our dinner. The salad were were excellent and I am very particular about salads. I had the salmon and it was perfect minimum all seasoning with a char grill taste. My husband loved the chicken Francais and his soup. The lemon tarte was quite good and probably their best dessert.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMA quaint gemLovely owner/matre'd. Very attentive and caring. The food is excellent and the service very professional. I sometimes forget it is there but am always happy when I remember. You can often get a table there on a weekend night without much notice. Not sure why that is because it has never disappointed us.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe thoroughly enjoyed ourWe thoroughly enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. The food was very good, if you get a chance try the skirt steak special, and the atmosphere was vibrant and alive. the waiters and waitresses were very attentive and informative. there was a nice selection of wines and the mojito was very good. Bill, the owner, was very friendly and hospitable. The live music just added to what was an already great feeling and atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back to this hidden gem.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMLove Metro Bistro. It's reallyLove Metro Bistro. It's really a neighborhood find. Comfortable decor, lively fun bar crowd.Well prepared food, interesting tastes and sides. A gem!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMI have now been there on aI have now been there on a busy Saturday night and a quiet Sunday evening. The food and service are excellent, but it gets a little pricey if you like Johnny Walker Red label because they ALWAYS seem to be out and offer you Black Label or single malt Scotch. Out of Red Label once, I can understand it - out twice, wouldn't you wonder? I put down moderate for noise. Actually it was quiet on Sunday and on the loud (but happy)side on Saturday.
The mussels for a starter are wonderful. The seafood entree menu could be improved - as I recall Tilapia was on the menu. That is a garbage fish generally farm-raised in places like VietNam. Cod is very boring. Salmon may or may not be good depending on whether it is farm-raised.I would recommendSea Bas3/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
