  • Catering: Hotel Metro has 3 unique event and private dining venues. Zen on 7 is our rooftop space and can accommodate up to 50 guests. The Great Room is located on the lower level of the hotel and can accommodate up to 120 guests. Sidecar is the newest addition to METRO, can accommodate up to 21 guests in a "private dining" setting, located in METRO with your own outdoor patio area.
  • Private Party Facilities: METRO's Private Dining Room, Sidecar, is the ideal back drop to your downtown Milwaukee birthday celebration, rehearsal dinner or company meetings and presentations. This intimate private dining room boasts floor to ceiling windows and is equipped with a 60" TV that hosts both difital cable and Apple TV.
    METRO can also accommodate up to 100 persons for an office party, bachelor or bachelorette party, family get together or a group watching a sporting event shown on our TV's. Wine tastings, business lunches, anniversaries and retirements can be customized for you and your guests.

Surrounding tables left un-bussed. Pretty disappointing meal for 125$. (1app, 1salad, 1soup, 1entree, 4drinks). All these problems with only 2 other tables in the restaurant..."

  • "My boyfriend and I wandered across a Livingsocial deal for METRO and it looked great. We didn't get our hopes up though...sometimes those deals can be busts. However, from the moment we walked in, we had no poor experiences! Our waiter was very personable, but not overly chatty. The food came out in a timely fashion. We were both very satisfied with our meals. I had grilled salmon with mashed potatoes and vegetables....wow. The salmon was fantastic! My boyfriend got a chicken and bacon pasta dish that he thoroughly enjoyed as well. For dessert we chose the upside down walnut apple pie for two...and it was more then enough for two! (We don't have small appetites either)."

We all had something different and all the meals were finished! The only downside was the seating. There was an 86 year old that had some problems dealing with the bar height table and chair."

The menu has all the things on it you would look for at brunch plus some different and unusual items. All were wonderful, we left wanting to come back and try more. We used a Living Social and they inflated the value in the bill to insure a good tip for the waitress. There are so many other places downtown Milwaukee I would prefer to dine at in the future."

  • "I took my best friend here on a Thursday night. In order to get to the restaurant you have to walk through the bar. The bar was swarmed with people and we had to actually fight our way through them just to get to the hostess stand where we waited for several minutes to be seated. The server that seated us tried seating us at the closest table to all the people and noise (note that I had made a reservation 2 weeks in advance and let them know it was a birthday dinner). When we asked to be moved to another table he seated us in back of the restaurant where it was queiter but still very loud (other folks seated around us were visibly uncomfortable with the atmosphere and one couple even asked us if we were "at a night club". Disappointed."

  • "Went on a Sunday. Got a lobster roll and wontons at Zen on Seven. Nothing special, but nothing bad, but the wontons did have a pleasant hint of spiciness to them. Expected a bigger sushi menu, but only have two rolls available. We split the French onion soup and full order beef medallions to make room for red velvet cake. Never had French onion soup, but to me it tasted good. The server didn't ask how we wanted our steaks, but even then I could not recognize whether they default to medium or not, because one came out medium and the other came out medium well done. I'm a medium rare person at most, but it was my fault not to mention my preference, I guess. The red velvet cake was very good. The service was phenomenal in general."

  • "Had a fantastic meal. Gluten free needs were no problem, and the food was delicious. I was impressed that we were treated so well even with a LivingSocial coupon. Sometimes nice restaurants like Metro treat you like a moocher when you have a discount, but not here. I am pretty darned picky about food quality being a spoiled frequent Milwaukee restaurant patron, and I can say that I will make a point of going back to Metro. Outstanding bleu cheese crusted filet and salmon entrees; attentive but non-annoying service. I hate it when servers talk in that whiny, nasal baby voice and ask things like "Are you still working?" Nothing like that happened here. Our server was a friendly and professional young man who truly earned a good tip!"

  • "We went on a Monday night and it was very quiet- hardly anyone there. But the service was great, the menu offered enough vegetarian selections that pleased one our guests. Two of us ordered the fish dishes and they were both prepared very well. Overall a great experience."

  • "I have eaten here before and it was wonderful. This experience was completely opposite and is now in my bottom ten restaurant experiences. I sat in the bar, indulged in their happy hour specials, and planned to eat dinner. Martini was good, although how does one go wrong with a $5 chocolate martini ;o). Server was extremely unattentive. Never asked me if I wanted any food. Eventually got his attention to order beef wellington appetizer. Beef was fatty and prepared medium rare. Not the quality I've had in other restaurants. Server never followed up to see if I wanted to order food. Heck, he never asked if something was wrong since I only ate 1 out of 4 appetizer servings. Ended up eating at nearby restaurant for dinner."

  • "I went there for lunch with 4 of my co-workers on a Wednesday. The new menu is confusing. An entire side of it is dedicated to this massive brunch menu and the other side the font is the same for the name of the dish vs the description of the dish. In otherwords it just looks like paragraphs. Everyone at my table seemed confused. I got the biscuits and gravy with two over easy eggs. The biscuits were awesome, buttered and toasted before being slathered in gravy. The gravy tasted ok but the bits of sausage were microscopic which I found odd. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The place was practically dead yet it took quite a while to get our food and when we did it wasn't hot, just warm."

  • "Waitress was nice, atmosphere nice, food not good. Had the lobster stuffed steak. The lobster was a claw only. The filet was very good. Also had the walleye which was pretty awful. The gorgonzola mashed potatoes just ok and the squash was very good. Ordered specialty drinks that were not good, actually had to have the bartender add lime juice to my gimlet. Everything was just ok, not great so wouldn't go back."

We had a group of 5 of us and all of us enjoyed our meal. Service was great even though they were short staffed. Overall, a much better experience than what I had remembered."

Food was very good, we ordered off Downtown Dining menu. Waitstaff was attentive to our needs. Previously been here and is One of my favorite downtown stops for dinner or a nightcap (including Zen on Seven) after ballet or... Also, Kudos to the valet attendant, was very friendly and informative in directing us to other attractions nearby."
