4 of us dined for 2 1/2 hours (a first for us.). We wished we had an exTra stomach as the food was extraordinaire. One would not expect the high quality and wide selection of tapas in our area. Our server was always ready to assist or offer suggestions when asked. I can hardly wait to go back.

FIrst of all, let me say that the food was really good and the Sangria list was nice and long... a bit pricey, but long. In the end, the best Sangria was the tried-and-true original red. The server was very attentive and had a great demeanour. He was very helpful in making the right choices on food. Now... I was a bit put off by the fact that I specifically asked for a bottle of wine to be openned at seating for our Anniversary Dinner. This is a request that I ALWAYS put into my Open Table reservations. Every other restaurant I had chosen for an Anniversary dinner or other special occasion, greeted us with a nice "Happy Anniversary", "Happy Birthday", etc, etc. Not that I'm a snob, but it's the little things that matter, and If I am taking my wife to a nice dinner that I have spent time to research, make the reservations and request something special.... the least the restaurant could do is accomodate. After all, the restaurants are not McDonalds, and with the price tags come expectations. I will probably come back to this restaurant for an office Christmas Party. We will see what happens then. :)

From the time we arrived everything went smoothly. We arrived 15 minutes early so they suggested we wait in the bar. We didn't have any problems finding a spot to sit. It also gave us an opportunity to go over the drink menu. She tried the sangria which was fair and I have the Sabikatini that is made with mango. It was smooth but packed a good punch. We didn't even finish when they call us for seating. We were lucky enough to get a nice spot by a window view of the banquet hall in the next building. Since this is a converted mansion, we felt like guests have dinner with friends. The china and silverware was the typical restaurant type. The white table clothes had a neatly trimmed white butchers paper placed over it. The stack of plates are an indication that you will be sharing your choices. We started with the cream of broccoli and the black bean and chorizo. Both are very good .I'm sorry that I don't remember the names of our dish choices other than they were marrano pork with toast and cheese, tiger shrimp, stuffed mushrooms. Everything was fresh and crisp and quite delicious. We stopped before we were stuffed to leave room for desert. We topped it of with the Pistachio and chocolate cake. We decided to order two with coffee also very good. It was nice that it was not very sugary. I can't wait to come back for their lunch and brunch as this is now my favorite special out of town dining spot. You can be sure that Meson Sabika will also get rave reviews to my friends at work.

If you like Spanish Tapas, you can't beat Meson Sabika. They have a great location just west of downtown Naperville with its own parking lot. The restaurant is in a beautiful old mansion with multiple rooms. The food is outstanding. We ordered as a group and when each round came the plates were circulated around the table so that everyone got a taste of each dish. Everything we ordered was excellent. The service was great - good attention level and goof pace, never rushed. The only thing to be aware of is that all of the wines are Spanish, so if you're not familiar with Spanish wines, you'll have to rely on your waiter for assistance in selecting. This is one of our favorite places and, once again, it lived up to our expectations.

My husband and I found this hidden neighborhood gem while trying to figure out somewhere new to try for my birthday dinner. Meson Sabika caters to making your evening very special. We relied heavily on recommendations from our server Andreea, and she certainly steered us in the right direction. The restaurant has a very quint old world charm to it. The birthday candle ice cream pastry at the end was the icing on the cake to a delicious dinner. We will certainly come back again.

We went to Meson Sabika for our anniversary dinner. My sister recommended it to me. Our waiter was Steve and he was super nice and attentive. He gave us awesome suggestions and described the food so well. The food was amazing. I want to go back because there was so much more I wanted to try but couldn't fit anything else in my stomach. Also, definitely mention if you are celebrating a special event because they gave us a free dessert. I definitely recommend anything with the tomato basil sauce. I would take a bath in it. Haha.

So, if you really like good food, attentive staff who are really friendly and are willing to not be able to hear the party you are with, then this is the place for you! Its all down to packing too many people into one room and then trying to offer excellent service and good food to make up for the absence of ambience. Trying to hold a conversation is virtually impossible due to the din all around you, which is too bad, as everything else is very good. I would recommend this restaurant with the cautionary note to try lunch rather than a special occasion for dinner.

We are vegetarian and as such there are always challenges when it comes to finding a place for a special occasion like birthday or anniversary. My wife herself is a fine cook and treating her to fine vegetarian dining adds to it. Meson Sabika has not failed to meet those high expectations of the two times we have visited. In fact, we had enough vegetarian choices and were stuffed to the point that we passed on ordering desserts. Our host Danny, knowing that it was my wife's birthday that we were celebrating served us a dessert with candle to make it extra special for her. Extremely happy with the food and service and look forward to visiting again to celebrate some other event in near future.

We loved Meson Sabika. The setting is gorgeous. It has several dining rooms in the Willoway Manor an impressive mansion built in 1847 for Dr. Lilly. The setting inside and out is so elegant, charming, and romantic. The food was terrific. We loved the soup aromatic, an onion broth with manchego cheese. The cold tapas we ordered was tuna cannelloni, calamari, and King crab on toast points. All fabulous dishes, but the favorite was the crab. For hot appetizers we had the bacon wrapped dates, grilled squid, artichokes with vegetables in a tomato sauce, and the beef tenderloin with horseradish. The beef was so tender and a personal favorite.
