My companion had scallops/butternut squash risotto, excellent. The roast chicken was deboned and crisped, with a wonderful potato mash, with carrots, beans and a little onion. The lobster bisque was one of the best I have had and it had a lot of lobster pieces. My husband had the soup of the day which was a french onion mushroom soup and he seemed pretty happy with it. We both ordered the steak frites. I ordered my steak well done and he ordered his medium. Both had to be sent back and this was even after they had butterflied his steak to begin with. We quickly got them back but they still cooked as ordered. The steaks were seasoned beautifully and were very tasty, The frites were ordinary although the aioli was excellent. Although we visit Mass Ave several times a year, several of us had never been to Mesh before. It was a wonderful experience. Service was excellent, despite every table being full. There were a couple of children in our group and they thoroughly enjoyed the food they chose from the children's menu. All of the adults chose different menu items and all proclaimed the food as wonderful. Wine, beer and drink options were many and varied. Cost was reasonable. I can't think of one complaint. We started off with drinks, then ordered a cheese plate for an appetizer. Both were amazing; the cheese plate was recommended by our server which did not disappoint. For the entree I had the filet, which was one of the best steaks I had ever had. It was cooked perfectly, and the sides were amazing. The menu had different options for seafood, vegetarian plates, chicken, etc... The efood was overall very good-interesting preparations and presentation. The Wedge was delightful!! The Prok Chop big, but tender and juicy. Our server was knowledgable and helpful. All of the entrées were superb and cooked to perfection, from the filet mignon to the lamb to the nairagi, gemelli and sides. The service was excellent. Period. The short, relaxing walk (20 min) from the Sheraton to Mesh on Mass was lovely and refreshing both ways after dark on a Friday night, and a perfect alternative to dining outside the main downtown ring of chain restaurants. While it was good, there should have been something else on the plate for the price. Thankfully, I had the lobster bisque first which was wonderful. When we were deciding on appetizers I insisted on adding the Mushroom Strudel to the order despite their less than enthusiastic response. Every one of them commented on how delicious it was. The service was fantastic, our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered different combinations of menu choices that were not listed. I'm not sure I've ever been to a restaurant that offered these options. I took her advice and my dinner was amazing!!! All of our appetizers, salads, and desserts were equally amazing! (we were amazingly full when we left!).
