They are currently renovating the restaurant so they've moved it over to one of the banquet halls. The food is still great but the ambiance is suffering. Hopefully the remodel will be worth it

This is a Trump owned property. Therefore, my expectations for an exceptional experience were high. However, although the service was good and the food passable, I did not enjoy my experience at Mesazul. The wine list was extremely limited even though they boasted a wine winning list. I will return again once the renovation to the new restaurant is completed. It appears that the original restaurant has been moved temporarily to what it seems to be a converted conference room. Their web site, where they provide the menu, and the award-winning wine list is a deceptive marketing strategy.

Our meal capped off a short winter golf getaway at Doral. Staff were attentive and food was outstanding. We enjoyed the fish and lamb chops and delicious bread pudding dessert. Quiet evening on President's Day with mostly resort patrons, but made it seem like a special evening out. Would definitely go back again!

It was a set menu for Valentines Day. The food was excellent although my husband thought the servings were a little small. The only course we did not enjoy was dessert. The raspberry chocolate dessert could have been better. The pink heart marshmallows were not tasty at all.

Very nice business lunch, in an appropriate environment and the buffet choices were extensive. I especially enjoyed the Argentinian style churrasco steak with chimichurri. The service met expectations and the restaurant was quite busy on that day, so they didn't really have the staff resources to offer "over and above" attention to detail. But overall, it was a nice experience, staff was gracious and food was nicely presented.

The food was very well prepared and quite filling. I enjoyed the small tasting they provided at the beginning of the meal. The wine was perfect. The wait staff was friendly, courteous and efficient. My wife and I enjoyed our meal very much. I would go again and will recommend Mesazul to our friends.

It's tradition to have Christmas eve dinner at Mesazul. We had company from out of town and had been raving about this place to our friends all day long recounting the wonderful experiences we've had over the years. Well, we should have stayed quiet. For the first time the a la carte menu was not available. They had a fixed menu with a couple of choices and the "choices" were all meat! Nothing for people that do not eat meat. When we sat down no bread basket was brought to the table. We had to ask for it and had to remind the waiters 3 times that we had asked for it. When it arrived it was stone cold. The food was mediocre at best and we were told to hurry up and get dessert because the chef was leaving. We wanted to die of embarrassment.

Good food. My wife had the slow roasted chicken and I had a bone-in Ribeye. A decent wine list at reasonable prices. Excellent service and great views of the golf course with a big fountain recently installed (Donald Trump). The ambiance is noisy because of big groups. But this is a minor inconvenient. Would return.

We had excellent filets, cooked perfectly. Sides were huge. We should have split them. Nice Argentinian wines as well as other South American choices. I hope that they only improve with Marriott's withdrawal and Trump's new ownership of The Doral, which occurs June 10th, 2012.

Wow...all I have to say. Foodwise - UNBELIEVABLE - it's latin with a high-end fine dinning twist. Please do not leave without trying their mashed potatoes and their "rum soaked maduros" they will have you beggin for more! This is a steakhouse, so please have any of their steaks - all are amazing! I had the picanha and it was perfectly cooked, soft, flavorful....totally unforgettable! My husband had the New York Strip and it melted in his mouth! All in all we are so going back! It worth the price. I do recommend reservations and if you can go any other day that is not a Saturday you would enjoy this place even more! There is a hotel bar-lounge just outside of the restaurant and it can get pretty noisy at times.

Food was excellent but service was not up to the standard I would expect for this type of place. Friendly but not very quick or pro-active. (i.e. If you serve fries, I would provide ketchup with the plate so the server does not have to bring separately and the guest does not have to wait). I know good food takes time to prepare. However, I have been to many 5 Star restaurants and not had to wait as long. Maybe an odd thing to say, but entrée portion sizes are a little big for this type of menu (i.e. ala carte sides etc.) Food was very unique and flavourful. Servers were very good at conveying the restaurant theme and how the food is prepared in that manner. Ambiance and décor is spectacular both day and especially at night.
