Though the menu is a bit small, there were several items we wanted to try. The addition of the nightly specials made the main course decision even tougher. Our only small complaint was that we had the table at very front of the restaurant directly underneath the music speaker. We had to ask the waitress to turn the music down so we could hear each other speak. She did and we stayed for a second pitcher of margaritas. Great experience! The bar is well laid-out and is very well suited for meeting friends or stopping in for a drink. The decor is very well done. This is not a typical Mexican restaurant with the usual ambiance and offerings. It is upscale at a reasonable price. My wife's margarita was superb while the specialty drink I ordered - vodka, cranberry and cayenne - was excellent (not sweet and with a very nice kick). I had ceviche for an appetizer - very good - and my wife's salmon was unique and also very good. My vegetarian meal was also good and very filling. We split the flan for dessert and were not disappointed. Total for the night was $80 without tip. The margaritas and the guacamole were excellent. Three of us tried the mahi mahi tacos which were also very good, although the portions were fairly small - might niot have been enough had we not had the guacamole beforehand. My husband tried the lobster quesadilla and although he enjoyed it, he said he didn't see or taste much lobster in it. The food was outstanding the bar service needed to pick up speed, the owner was there and made sure everyone there was taken care of. The place was very busy and we were seated quickly,served in a timely manner, the waiter was very helpful. He promptly informed us that due to the busy nite they only had one item available for the special of the day instead of two,no problem.

The wait staff was very attentive and accommodating. When our entrees were late in arriving, the waitress very politely informed us that the guacamole would be on the house -- which I thought was very gracious of Mesa. The food itself was the best Mexican cuisine I've had, and the reasonable portions and great ambience definitely added a lot to my dining experience. This is not Americanized Mexican fare! Table side Guacamole preparation was novel, and the flavor was Excellent. The complimentary chips and salsa was quite tasty, very clean flavors. We had 4 different entrees. Each of us was delighted with our meal. I had Salmon and Spinach enchilada from the regular menu.~~ I was a hesitant to order seafood at a mexican restaurant...boy was I wrong. Yumo! The fish taco entree portion was on the smaller side. The wait staff was friendly. It would have been helpful if she described the selections more.
