  • "The host greeted us warmly and sat us promptly. Mary, our server, was very attentive and had a good sense of humor. The meals were hot, fresh and delicious, featuring shrimp cocktail, crabcake and their signature soups. The entrees were also delicious, pecan crusted trout and the seafood trio. We washed it down with a bottle of Washington State's Ste. Michelle Winery's Riesling. Crème Brule was a perfect ending. Overall our experience was everything we expected for the price. "

  • "I was very appreciative of all the staff as I had 3 folks over 86 and the location of the table was wonderful for that group. P"

  • "Once again, we had a fine dining experience at Meriwether's. We like Muer's restaurants, and I particularly enjoyed the whitefish. The place doesn't have the look or feel of a chain restaurant, and all personnel treated us as though we were welcome friends and not just customers."

  • "The decor needs an update. Made a reservation the day before and got the exact time requested on a Saturday night. I should have wondered why we got in. That night there were only 4 tables filled! We were one of them. Half way through our meal we were the only ones in the restaurant!"

  • "Food and service were wonderful. We couldn't believe that we have never eaten here before. We will be back"

  • "I've eaten here a few times and it's a very good lunch spot. Our waitress was excellent and the food was very good. My only surprise was that it seemed unusually loud during the meal. Typically, I think of Meriwether's as a quieter restaurant, but it was rather loud on this visit. Not a bad thing, just surprising."

  • "it wasn't the best, it wasn't the worst...it was just ok. The bread is really good. i think they should have more of a steak choice. the reason i rate ok is that the filet mignon was dry. very odd for a properly cooked filet."

  • "My family has been going to Meriwether's since it was first built. We've had large parties there and intimate dinners for two. It has never let us down. The food, drinks, atmosphere and service have always been impeccable."

  • "The food and service is always good here. My only suggestion is that they offer lunch-priced specials. I had the short ribs. While good, it was pricey at $29.00 for just the entree and 2 sides."

  • "First time dining here - met a good friend or lunch. The atmosphere was pleasant, the service very good. Both of us ordered salads and they were a good-sized portion, but a salad is a salad; nothing out of the ordinary to make it special (which was okay). On the other hand, the menu looked like it had some very tasty items from which to choose if we had been looking for a bit heavier fare."

  • "My boss takes the team out for lunch for a yearly celebration every February. Meriweather's came highly recommended by one of our team members. Upon arrival, we were escorted to our table by an attentive and knowledgeable host. This is where it starts to go downhill. First, they were out of salmon. Then, our waitress forgot to put our orders through to the kitchen and our food came out 1 hour and 20 minutes AFTER we ordered. To make matters worse, everything was all wrong. My boss ordered a medium-rare burger that was dripping blood and the other entrees were lukewarm, at best. No one could explain why and the only resolution that was offered was the cliche "free dessert". We will never go back there again!"

  • "Overall everything was very good, I have no complaints about the service and food and that is what counts! The only complaint one might have is portion sizes although it was perfect for me but husband could have used more. The overall other complaint we felt restaurant was in need of some updates and deep clean. The restaurant itself looked clean on the surface but we noticed dust in the booths and wall trims surrounding the booth. Table was also pulled away from damaged wall and did not fit entire booth properly."

  • "Can't beat the service, menu or ambiance of Meriweather's. Has the old-school charm of a historic Kruse and Muir restaurant yet outstanding/current menu. All servers and hostess treat you as royalty and give you the sense they're grateful for your business."

  • "On a Saturday, 02/15/2014, at 5:30pm they were out of a fish (don't recall what it was) a friend wanted to order ... not very good for a Seafood restaurant."

  • "The food was good but not excellent. My husbands steak was over cooked and so was my prime rib. The food was good just not outstanding and I felt for the price it should have been more on the outstanding side. I would probably go there again but it's not a place that I have to go again."

  • "We went made last minute reservations for Valentines Day with our two young daughters the service , food ,staff and other guests were amazing we even had one guest (senior citizen) stop us to tell us how well behaved and mannerable our daughters were! It's always a great feeling when our seniors tell us we are doing a great job with the girls.. Great night, great food, great company!"

  • "Disappointed in my experience. I usually take my wife to Mitchells for special occasions, but I decided to try something different for Valentine's Day this year. There was no romantic ambiance for the evening and the food was mediocre for the cost. My potato crusted whitefish was unremarkable and my wife didn't care for her Cedar plank salmon. Service was good from a hard working and eager to please staff, but that's my lone bright spot."

  • "Solid wait staff compliments excellent menu and overall quality of experience. Kid friendly but generally a more reserved setting offering great selections for "night out with the spouse" and ambiance associated with a "local" classic. Advice, leave the "chains" behind and visit something with the character and class to keep you coming back."

  • "This is the first time I have been back in 19 years. It appears that nothing has changed just. Older. It looks tired on the outside, snowed that day, parking lot not plowed. I stepped in more than one Slush pile. The inside looks dated needs some freshening up. Food good service good. It was a 1/2 Way to meet up with someone. I may or may not return"

  • "We have been to other restutants owned by the same company and was disappointed by this one. The food is good, but the waitress was slow and the I felt like they haven't remodled since the 80's. I felt like I was in a fancier Cracker Barrell, which is never a good thing. In saying that, the food was good."

  • "Our server Amy was awesome! She was very nice, new the menu and had great recommendations. She was so sweet. Food was very fresh and food temperature perfect. She was very attentive. Everyone was served together, party of eight! Very good service. It was a very cold day, we could have used more heat. We were there right when it open at noon. Management may want to consider turning heat on earlier on cold days before opening for lunch! Otherwise five star lunch! Thanks!"

  • "Our experience at Meriwether's was outstanding. The service was excellent, the food wonderful, and the pace of courses was perfect. We especially enjoyed the prime rib special that included salad, entree, and dessert. The prices were moderate, and all four of us were very pleased. It was sad thinking this fine restaurant might close--there was no valet service, no permanent hostess, and a sparse crowd the night we were there (Saturday)."

  • "I have been to Meriwether's before and it always is a pleasant experience. With it being NYE, I'm sure that affected the speed of our service (party of 3 tho) and it was expected due to the number of other tables that evening. Food was delicious and ambiance great - we could hear each other without shouting and didn't have to hear the conversations next to us either!"

  • "The food was great with the only exception being the teacup bread that was stale and fresh was baked and brought to the table. Background music was too loud but lowered when asked to. Staff was very attentive without being bothersome. Good dining experience."

I can understand your FOCUS but it was NOT TOO hard to have something VEGGIE. Just so as you know I have been to this place over 10 times. Just the same experience..... GO VEGAN. • "I placed a reservation for a Holiday staff party. My reservation was for 6:45pm. When a portion of the party arrived they were placed at the reserved table. The others that came were never greeted by anyone at the door including myself, we had to walk through the restaurant to find our own party. It was a Sunday evening & when we sat down they let us know the kitchen closed at 8pm. During our meal we were never offered dessert. The waitress along with a chef from the kitchen came to the table to pack up our leftovers before we were even done with our food. When we got ready to leave no one saw to us going out."

  • "We were seated in back during a busy lunchtime. I had made reservations in advance and still got put in back. You placed a small space heater by us because it was very cold. We had to eat with our coats on and it was still cold. The food was good but took a long time to get to us. The party at the larger table next to us was loud. It was pretty much an all around disappointing event. I dine out on average 5 days a week and generally don't have a bad experience."
