We got to order from the regular menu and were served very efficiently by Ted. The pace was perfect and the food was delicious. I prefer to avoid buffet lines and this worked out great. We arrived early and the hostess was able to seat us right away. We were greated immediatley by our waitress. She went over the menu and gave us recommendations for the meal. The wine menu gave a nice variation of reds and whites. We decided to on a bottle of Trullo Reisling that paired very well with the Chicken Diavolo and the Lobster. Be prepared to wait for your dinner but the wait is well worth it. The food was delicious! Their soup and salads were delicious and their sandwiches were well prepared and ample portions. The ambience in the dining room is sedate and perfect for a luch filled with conversation as well as great food. Filet mignon was perfectly prepared, topped with goat cheese, and accompanied by a huge, twice-baked potato I couldn't finish. Good wine list. Overall a nice experience. The prices are right for the trimmings this restaurant offers. Great food, delicious wine, great music and the service is always top notch. My only complaint is I wish my wife cooked as well the Meritage. Kidding, Honey! ;) Meritage is a great establishment for Glendale, and Cincinnati!!!
