  • Great dinner at Merighi's Savoy Inn

I had a great meal at Merighi's Savoy Inn. The meal started with homemade tomato basil soup that was served hot with great flavor. Our server Melissa made us a nice fresh salad. It was very flavorful with greens, tomatoes, and a good dressing. For entrees, we had the special, salmon picatta, which was well prepared. The salmon was moist and delicious. We also had the crab cakes dinner. The crab cakes were full of lump crab meat, not filler. Vegetables were excellent. The chocolate lava cake finished off the excellent meal. Melissa, our server, provided friendly, excellent service. I would recommend the restaurant very highly and would dine there again when in the Vineland, NJ area.

We had a very nice quiet dinner for our wedding anniversary. I had the salmon glazed special with risotto. My wife had the Crab cake dinner. The waitress was very accommodating, room was lit perfectly and the food was delicious.

Went out with a party of 6 on Saturday night. Sat right down, excellent attention from staff, bread was awesome! We split appetizers: clams, crab dip and calamari. All excellent with large portions! Salad was good. The entrees were great! Three in our group ordered the pasta special with seafood, one ordered the fish special, one had the seared tuna, and I had the crab cakes. Yum yum! The portions were just right for our appetites, and the leftovers were the envy of my office. Dessert was delicious as week! The pacing was slower thanany other restaurants, but it gave us time to relax and enjoy our food. We compared the Savoy with the Maplewood and like the Savoy better. Prices aren't cheap, but the food is excellent for a special occasion!

We were greeted by restaurant owner, Tom Merighi, Jr., and he was able to honor our request for a booth. The nightly specials were very appetizing, and our meal was outstanding. We had the tuna with mushroom risotto, and the seafood fra diablo. Both were prepared well, and presented in a very appealing manner. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very comfortable. We will definitely return in the very near future.
