A word from Menotomy Grill & Tavern
The name, Menotomy, pays homage to the Menotomy Indians and the Menotomy Village originally settled in 1635. The village was incorporated as the town of Arlington in 1867 following the civil
war as a tribute to Arlington National Cemetery.
Our vision for Menotomy Grill & Tavern is to bring the tavern concept back to the town of Arlington by creating a rustic grill capitalizing on the coziness of a brick house featuring fireplace, open kitchen, exposed beams, large planked hard wood floors, and historical artifacts and photos. Fostering a loyal following will be the key to our success, so we welcome you to join us on Facebook for news, special offers and exciting events.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "I've been to Menotomy Grill & Tavern three times now with family and it has been a pleasant meal each time. The menu has mostly creative variations on comfort foods. I have enjoyed the Tuna burger, Fish & Chips, and the burgers. The waitress gladly swapped the Quinoa Pilaf for the "& Chips" to make a lighter meal. The fried pickles are a tasty, share-able appetizer. On my last visit the waitress was hard to find as the evening went on, but most visits the service was attentive and timely."

  • "This was the second time we had been to this restaurant. We enjoyed our first time, so we took our daughter there. The food was very good. Unfortunately, the food that I had ordered was not good at all. I notified the waitress and she took care of it immediately. We had ordered several appetizers which were delicious, so I was not that hungry and ended up sharing the flatbread my daughter had ordered, which was very good. Aside from that one mishap, the food and especially the service at the restaurant was excellent. I do recommend this restaurant and will go again."

  • "I have had dinner here three times and always been pleased. A nice variety of choices without being overwhelming. The fireplace in the colder months is a nice addition. You have options of either tables or booths which is nice. Unless you are just going in for a drink at the bar I would always recommend a reservation. It can get a little noisy when busy but not bad. Parking can be slightly tricky if you go at prime time but I have always found a spot. I would recommend this restaurant for any occasion."

  • "Great spot. If it were a bit closer it'd go into high rotation. Great music. Great lighting. Greater food, service, drink. Can't wait to go back."

  • "My go-to meal here is the steak with a Cabernet. Consistently excellent. If I want to have a quieter conversation I arrive at 6. Place starts to get loud around 7. Relaxed vibe, nice people, great option for my neck of the woods."

  • "Great experience. From owner to chef and waiter, (all of whom visited the table at one point or another) to their attention to my wife's food allergies, the evening was very enjoyable."

  • "I liked Menotomy Grill for a number of reasons. We had a group of 11 people so we saw a lot of different meals. Everyone was happy. They had a good beer and wine selection and they know how to make cocktails. The wait staff was very helpful, everyone chipped in and our primary waiter knew everything on the menu. I like that there is parking. A few people in our party walked from the red line (Alewife) and said the walk was on a nice trail. The atmosphere was bustling, there is an open kitchen and a good sized bar. The entire restaurant is one big open space. The prices were good. The only expensive item I saw was their steak. Nobody ordered it but the waiter promised it was worth it. I recommend you go. "

  • "My husband and I are moving to the area soon and were looking forward to trying out this new restaurant. The parking is great, ambiance is nice, and we were seated right away. Server was a bit slow to bring us our drinks, and we were dissapointed that there was no table bread. While both of our entrees were cooked perfectly, they were both underseasoned. My husband had the hangar steak and while it looked beautiful on the plate, it lacked flavor. The sauce had no flavor. The Steak had no seasoning. The fancy fries looked beautiful on the plate, but tasted like potatoe and nothing else. We would return here with family due to the location and pricepoint, but hopefully next time they will have made some improvements. "

  • "My husband ordered the roast half chicken which he claims is the best he's ever had ever. The fried pickles were meh but the pulled pork tacos were a perfect mix of sweet and tangy. Great beer list and great IPA recommendation by our server. We'll be back!"

  • "Had dinner with a friend at ~ 6:30. Bar and tables filled up fast, but we were seated right away. They forgot our appetizer altogether and my burger, while tasty enough, was overcooked. The waitress was friendly."

  • "Nice spot, good overall vibe, and ambiance. Bar staff I was assisted by less than friendly though, no greeting or smile or similar. Once seated we ordered 4 entrees, including 2 duck entrees, both were cooked incorrectly - resulting in tough texture. Duck takes some practice, so understandable, but it needs work. No tea selection after dinner, waitress tried her best (nice kid, personable), but come on, 125 bucks for dinner and they cant manage a tea selection? "

  • "a great neighborhood style tavern. We watched the Bruins game and ate. Everytime the Bruins scored, the whole restaurant would stop, cheer, then go back to eating! Fun"

  • "Overall a good experience. Great atmosphere, very helpful wait staff. And a beer menu to suit almost any taste! My two gripes are minor but worth mentioning: 1) There is absolutely no need for the Brazilian(?)-pesto drizzle over steak tips. It is almost sacrilegious to mess with this dish, and it definitely detracted from the flavor of the meat and its marinade. 2) There were only 3 dessert items offered, none of which included chocolate cake or mousse. And no cappuccino."
