MeltGreat first impressionThis was my first time here and it was a great experience. Everything was good, especially the service. Food was tasty. Could be a bit less expensive I'd say. Place is beautiful. Just being there is a pleasure. The 3rd floor bar is very nice and the drinks are a bit pricey but very very good. We were unsure how it would be at such a nice restaurant with a baby but it was wonderful!! He enjoyed a piece of the delicious filet, which was cooked to perfection. We are never disappointed. The cocktails are always good. The food is always terrific. Great presentation. All the staff members are very good. It's nice when the manager walks around and ask how everything is. I had a surprise birthday party for my husband here in February and it was fabulous! She has been wanting to go there since it opened. It exceeded our expectations. It was very comfortable in the beautiful booth we sat in just the three of us (myself, my husband and my daughter). The whole restaurant was extremely clean. The atomosphere was very serene and stressfree. So nice looking at the fireplace and the hanging tube like lighting while we ate. Food was delicious. The service was superb. The server really knew the menu. There was just the right amount of time in between each course. The manager is so nice and tries to have a conversation with each guest. It was my girlfriend and I's 1 year anniversary. It's perfect for a couple. There were also a few groups of people in there. I love trying new food, and they had several dishes I've never had before. The servers were very nice and polite. They took the time to explain everything quite well. I would recommend this place to anybody. Average cost was around $40 per person. And keep in mind that they do list their dress as "business casual." Their food and service has definitely improved over when they first opened. It is an ideal place for business meetings but even more so for a romantic evening or fun on their rooftop bar. It is a big city style restaurant. My wife and I choose Melt as our go-to eating place when we're joined by my daughter and her husband. Saturday night featured their Prime Rib (tasty beyond words and it melts in your mouth); the crab cake was loaded with lots of crab and little filler; and the steak was cooked to perfection. Our wine was perfect and since we were celebrating my daughter and son-in-law's wedding anniversary and my wife's birthday we were pleasantly surprised when our server, Charissa, delivered a special favorite of hers - a dessert adorned with appropriate candles.

My only complaint is that at this early time they were out of the leg of lamb, which was listed on the specials menu. Other than that, everything was great. My 10 year old twins were with us, and despite the fact that cheeseburgers are not on the dinner menu, they were able to get them anyway.
