The crab cakes that were on special were very tasty and had an inventive salsa with them. Our server Shannon was excellent and did a wonderful job of being attentive and fun throughout the whole evening. Melt is always a favorite for a special occasion meal in the Lehigh Valley and we will be back."

  • "Notable additions to the menu included wild boar ragu with gremlin gnocchi, braised pork belly in Marsala reduction, and a very peppery rotisserie filet of beef, that quiet honestly was the most tender piece of meat, outside of true Wagyu, that I have ever had. The bucatini carbonara used a smoked pancetta, and it was a very pleasant flavor profile."

  • "This was our second visit. The first one was our anniversary, which also happens to be on Valentine's Day. This time we were celebrating our daughter's 32nd birthday. All three of us love this restaurant. The food is outstanding. The service is phenomenal. The surroundings are gorgeous. And the prices are not bad at all for such an upscale and lovely place. Keep up the good work!!"

  • "Enjoyed a great dinner at Melt on Saturday 3/29/14...We were 9 people and at the last minute we were 13 and the restaurant was able to accommodate us without any trouble. Drinks are wonderful and my arugula salad was delicious. We shared pizza and Pappardelle and they were both delicious."

  • "My Girlfriend I went for a special night out while dressing our best and we chose to go the Melt, the food was fantastic but pricey. If we were not taking part in Lent at the time we could have jacked up the price for two to be very high. But we stuck to an appetizer and salads that was amazing. But anything else would have required me to take a loan out from the bank. I would highly recommend the Melt to my friends who would like a special night out with their significant other. It was truly a night to remember."

  • "When in that area of PA it is one of our favorite places. After a number of excellent meals one would/should expect at sometime there will be a bit of a disappointment. Our last visit would have been fine if we had not had a comparison to others. The service size were much more meager than usual, the food was all off our reference point. Perhaps it was the late lunch on a Sunday, a Sunday morning kitchen who knows. The perceived problems were all execution related, perhaps a disinterested or tired chef. Melt is still high on our list and we do expect a recovery to what we know as their standard next time."

  • "From the minute I walked in the door to when I walked out, everything was perfect! My husband and I arrived a few minutes early for our reservation on a Saturday evening, and the host was kind enough to ask us if we wanted to be seated or wait until closer to the reservation time. We did sit, and the evening just got better. Our server, John, was knowledgeable and have great recommendations on both wine and food. He anticipated our needs and took great care of us! We just moved into the area and it was our first time diningt here. We will definitely be back!"

I requested to be seated near the fireplace and we were given a booth. It was extremely romantic and everything was great. We always enjoy going to melt."

  • "We eat at the Melt fairly frequently, and we consistently have a great dinner. My husband and I love to sit in the bar area and eat and drink there. Its a perfect setting for us. This weekend we had dinner with our daughter and her boyfriend, and so ate in the dining area. We shared an ample and varied antipasto and wonderful tuna tartare (a repeat favorite for us). A special beef tenderloin was especially enjoyed by the men. My daughter's veal chop parmesan was excellent; more than enough for 2 dinners. My spiedini was ok, but the tuna was overcooked and the piece of salmon quite small. Overall though, with the wonderful ambiance, we had a great dinner. The company and atmosphere more than compensated for the few menu flaws."

  • "A very enjoyable evening with husband and another couple. Started with the curried yam soup with spiced whipped cream. Delicious. Husband had the calmari and said it was the best ever. Main course was the filet picolo--two small beef fillets that they still managed to cook perfectly (crust and pink center)--over a mixture that included cremini mushrooms and spinach. Delicious. Had a single glass of a nice cabernet to go with. Dessert was chocolate panna cotta with diced strawberries. Soft, but still well-formed, and with a nice chocolate flavor. Husband had the pound cake with lemon riccotta. Also excellent. A bargain for the quality. Beautiful restaurant. So striking in its design. Not something typical for the Lehigh Valley."

A group of friends and myself will typically hit different restaurants during the various restaurant weeks throughout the area, and we've done Melt a few times. But it's a place I frequent otherwise anytime I want a great meal - my favorite is the rigatoni. The filet was excellent as well, and calamari is an excellent starter, along with the seared tuna and spinach artichoke dip. What can I say, I guess I'm just a fan of this place."

  • "Our first visit to Melt - and it definitely will not be our last. My friend and I both chose the Restaurant Week menu and were not disappointed. Everything was delicious! The Melanzana Firtta appetizer (eggplant with marinara sauce for dipping), Grilled Mahi Mahi, Grilled Piccolo Filet of Beef, Limone Ricotta Torta and Dark Chocolate Panna Cotta. There were so many items on their regular menu that we would like to try so we can't wait to go back. Relaxed and cozy atmosphere. Wait staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. If you've never been to Melt you are missing a special experience."

  • "Our server was very attentive and wonderful at describing the dishes and how they were made. He asked if it was a special occasion. He was very helpful in accommodating out needs. The Halibut was wonderful and I asked for bread and was served it but it was not offered. The soup was amazing a sweet potato and apple bisque. We we given a wonderful table and had a very relaxing and enjoyable time."

Service was a bit slow, but did appreciate that they took their time and served and prepped the table properly (new silver for each course). However, the cost of the food and beverages was more than it deserved and way above average for the location (it's not NYC). Overall, I would go again for a special occasion, but I won't be back often. PS: Desert was major let-down compared to the rest of the meal."

  • "We visited Melt during Restaurant Week in February 2014. The prix fixe options were limited, but definitely had enough variety to satisfy all 8 diners in our party. I had the fusilli with sausage - the spices were balanced perfectly with a very light white sauce and the pasta was cooked perfectly. Another in our party had a meatball panini which came with french fries. The french fries were as good or better than any I have ever had! Every fry was perfectly golden brown and crispy on the outside and light, fluffy & tender on the inside. Our server was very knowledgeable, friendly & attentive. The atmosphere was warm and inviting with a very classy feel to the decorative elements in the restaurant."

  • "If there is a restaurant in that general area that is a better all around experience I would be surprised. We had frequented the one very highly rated small quaint restaurant in the area. After disappointment across a range of points including cold food, poor service and ridiculous prices we quit it. When in the area Melt is our choice. Give it a try and see. You could have an excellent experience which far exceeds the high priced spot. We have had both lunch and dinner with equal satisfaction. The only thing that does not work for us is their type of lunch pizza, a personal choice thing. Salads, apps, and entree pastas are excellent and the wine list is very good even for a big city. Love it!"

  • "We celebrated our anniversary at the Melt. It was one of the best experiences we have had. The waiter was knowledgeable and not obtrusive. The food was prepared flawlessly and well presented. The ambience was terrific. The room was cavernous but was well designed. The service was great; the waiter made sure our wine glass was filled, dishes were promptly removed, the entire staff was very attentive. When the waiter found out it was our anniversary, he brought complimentary champagne and cheese cake with a lit candle. The cheesecake was on a plate with Happy Anniversary inscribed in chocolate. Several of the staff admired my wife's anniversary gift. The experience was very remarkable. I recommend the Melt wholeheartedly."
