A word from Mehek
India is a sublime fusion of the east and the west, in the most delicate and subliminal way. It is deeply steeped in tradition and yet is incredibly progressive; it is where knowing your heritage is just as important as opening up to new influences. It is this which makes India unique - the correct mix of tradition and modernity. The hospitality of Indians is legendary: the dictum of hospitality lies in three famous Sanskrit words ‘Attithi Devo Bhavah’ or “the guest is truly your god". Indians believe that they are honored if they share their meals with guests.-The finest of India"s cuisines is as rich and diverse BS its civilization. It is an art form that has been passed on through generations purely by word of mouth, from guru (teacher) to vidhyarthi (pupil) or from mother to daughter.
Méhék (Aroma) showcases the finest of Indian Cuisine in its new avatar - delectable traditional dishes with a contemporary twist.

Diner Reviews
  • "The food, service and atmosphere was nice for this dinner with my son. I ordered my dish Medium and it was a bit hot for me but tasted delicious just the same."

  • "Great Indian food with friendly service. Despite ordering a " mild" dish it came out too spiced. The server promptly took it back into the kitchen and returned with an even milder dish. We liked the flavorful food so much that we returned the next night."

  • "The Indian restaurant by our house was closed so we ventured to Princeton and found this gem. We tried several dishes we hadn't tried before and they were great. The spicy garlic naan was excellent and something we never saw on a menu before. The chicken chaat app was good enough to be a meal. We will definitely be back. "

  • "My family and I gathered at Mehek for a early Mother's day dinner...we picked Mehek because of the reasonable prices, the variety of vegetarian dishes and of course the love of Indian food. This was everyone's first visit and we were all pleased/satisfied. Mehek is a very cozy place...with my group of 6 and 2 other groups the dining area was comfortable. Only bad point is the single restroom. The food was very good, we ordered the vegetarian appetizer and the cauliflower (delish!!), bread basket, Mango Lassi, a chicken and a vegetable birani, tandoori shrimp, garlic shrimp, tandoori mixed grill, and chicken Korma....we were stuffed with plenty of left overs. Everything was seasoned well and very tasty. I will return!"

  • "We chose Mehek for a second visit because we wanted a quiet restaurant where we could enjoy good Indian food and chat with friends comfortably. We weren't disappointed. "

  • "Treated my daughter who's a Princeton student. Beats dining halls by a mile. Spice was very good and not overwhelming. Definitely will return."

  • "Came in at the end of the lunch buffet (1:45) and as it was my first time, I thought this might be a good introduction to their food. Although the food had been sitting awhile, it was still warm and very good. I don't, as a rule, usually do buffets, but in this case it worked out very well."
