Best brunch in DCThe set menu is perfect and the bottomless mimosas or Bloody Mary's are amazing... I suggest the bottomless mimosas, the yogurt parfait, and the perfect poached egg and steak. But it's all good and reasonably priced too!6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWowwyI saw and took a chance on your establishment and I must say it was well worth the gas money to get there! I look forward to my future visits!5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious!Brunch was wonderful - tons of delicious food and bottomless brunch cocktails (aka yummy mimosas) - at a great prix fixe value! I've also been to dinner here, and the service has been consistently on point.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMSuccessful concept, very good priceThis restaurant only serves one meal - sliced "culotte" steak, hot "rustic" bread, fries and a salad - all for $20. There are choices for desserts and drinks - but per the limited-choice concept - there's only 1 brand of scotch, bourbon, etc. Never heard of culotte steak -a cousin of the skirt steak perhaps? The waiter said it's part of the sirloin - and it's good, as is all the food - not great (except the bread which is excellent ) but quite good. And the desserts were very good. The initial portion of steak (topped with a "secret" sauce) - I'm guessing bordelaise - is not large - especially by steakhouse portion-size. But they automatically come around with seconds on steak and fries. So you won't leave hungry - or broke.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday dinner a huge success.Birthday dinner a huge success. It's the best and smartest restaurant I've been to in DC in terms of good food at an affordable price. Desserts: fantastic! Can't wait to go back.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMFun plaace.the food and service were very good. It is a simple menu but very enjoyable. we were seated outside and it was a wonderful experience. Their wine list needs a lot of work. nothing on it was noteable. Overall we had a very good time.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMgrad celebrationOur family celebrated our son's Georgetown Law graduation there. Great place to grab a bottle of the bubbly, relax, laugh, and ...oh....the food is GREAT! And it keeps coming! Love that they split the plates to keep everything nice and hot!5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMInteresting Concept, Good FoodThe concept of this place is simple. No menu choices, just one dinner option - bread, salad, and two servings of steak & fries. And you know what? It was good. The one criticism I have is that they really try to churn you through. We were not halfway through our first serving of steak when they came over and tried to refill our plates, which we turned down. They came over several times to ask if we were ok and if we were ready for our next serving. We were just trying to have a leisurely dinner - really felt like we were being pushed through. Note that there wasn't a wait for tables, so this must just be their typical MO. That said, great price for a really good meal. I'll definitely be back.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMAs usual, brunch at MediumAs usual, brunch at Medium Rare was GREAT! The food is delicious and the brunch is a great deal! Our food came out in a timely manner, and our mimosa glasses never went empty.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGood brunch placeWe went on mothers day and the staff very accommodating. Even though it was a pre-fix menu they brought an extra fruit salad with more grapes (which our little one loves). They were prompt with service and made our time very enjoyable.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMdelicious and good valueefficient service and tender, flavorful steak at a very reasonable price. My kind of place !5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved it!Loved the simplicity of the menu, loved the food, loved the ambiance. The only thing I did not love was the late 90s/early 2000s rock/rap music and the man sitting very close to my table, literally yelling at his companion. I felt like it was disruptive enough to warrant the manger stepping in and asking him to leave or keep it down.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Cleveland Park Spot!Medium Rare -- where, essentially, only one decision needs to be made (How would you like that cooked?) really is a Cleveland Park neighborhood gem. The food is good, and consistent; the service is enthusiastic. The outdoor space is pleasant. I go regularly, and happily!4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Service! Steak was slightlyGreat Service! Steak was slightly tough, or would be 5 stars. Drink menu also limited but adequate. Very fun reasonably priced outdoor dinner. Can only be considered if everybody likes red meat, as steak is all there is on the menu.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMMy go to place for out ofMy go to place for out of town guests that love steak.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMAs always, the food was excellentAs always, the food was excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive without being too pushy4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a find. The food portions are perfect. The steak is very well seasoned, and the special sauce kicks it up a notch! Definitely recommend a trip here for weekend brunch.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThe bread was warm, crusty,The bread was warm, crusty, and delishious. Good salad. Steak cooked perfectly "medium rare."
The only decision I had to make was the wine, which was very good.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMNeighborhood bistro with a twistI was looking for a moderately priced new place to meet an old friend for dinner, and as much as I love steak, it is not something I make at home in my apartment. I really enjoyed the steak, it was tender and tasty. The bread was fantastic, crusty and chewy. Salad was good. The specialty cocktail I had was fair and not worth $10, and the Key lime pie was okay. If you stick to the fixed menu and don't order cocktails and dessert, this is an excellent value.
But overall, I would definitely recommend this place and would go again if in DC.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMLove the kitchen and evenLove the kitchen and even thou the menu is limited, the steak and salad were amazing!3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Sunday Brunch was absolutelyThe Sunday Brunch was absolutely fantastic. The Pie Sisters Key Lime pie was a delicious finish.1/29/2013 12:00:00 AMIt's not ribeye, but you aren'tIt's not ribeye, but you aren't paying ribeye prices. The steak is tasty, the fries are great, the salad is refreshing. A good pour with wine by the glass. I'm a fan.1/6/2013 12:00:00 AM
