I've always wanted to go here. Love the location, setting, décor and most importantly the food. I didn't care for the service, could be the waitress we had was not having a good day. Other than the service, a must go and we'll definitely go back.

Wow! What can I say?! This is probably my fourth time at Mediterraneo. The hostesses are super cute and are a nice visual appetizer before the main course. You simply must try the grilled artichoke hearts, they are to die for. I wish I could jump in the steaming hot iron skillet and slather myself in the grilled lemon and gorgeous sauce. And then there is the brick chicken-OH S$%T they are good. The dessert, well that was so-so, however, the dinner was lovely, the patio is gorgeous, and the waiter was cool dude. Highly recommended.

When we arrived we were seated immediately wit an option of either indoors or out.. We chose indoors due to the high temps outdoorsbut had a beautiful view of the outdoor are. The waiter came right away for drink and appetizer orders. My only issue was that we had to ask if there were any specials that night. One of the best appetizers was the grilled shrimp. Very large shrimp in a wonderful garlic sauce. The seafood salad was loaded with a variety of seafood. The barramundi was very tender and flavorful. Always a great experience!

I've been to this restaurant several times over the last 2 years and have always loved it, but this weekend I ate 2 less than stellar meals here. First I had dinner at the restaurant and the food was good as it always is. The next day I went for breakfast (since I was staying at the hotel) and had a horrible experience. We waited almost 20 minutes for a table in an EMPTY restaurant. The staff seemed completely overwhelmed even though there were only a handful of tables with customers. It took a very long time to get our food and our mimosas. We ordered another round of drinks when our food showed up and we were finished eating way before they showed up. This restaurant has 4 Star potential and food, but the service is 1 star at best.

We are regulars, being there last month for July 4th dinner. The service this time was on the slow to poor side. We were seated on the patio and sat for several minutes, I had to ask the manager who was walking by if we could please be served. The waiter was very nice but he really didn't seem to either have the time or want to spend much of it with us. When the salads came I didn't have a knife. I asked the buss boy for one, he never brought it and I had to borrow someone else's. I also asked the bus boy for some more coke, but it never came. I had the Rib Eye steak in July, and it was good. The steak this time was a much nicer cut, but it was spiced with some spices it could have done without. It was cumin or chili powder, yuk!

We were pretty aggravated by the general inattention last time we dined here, we shouldn't have come back again. After providing us with water, the waiter disappeared forever. After he took the wine order, he was gone again, finally surfacing with the excuse that they didn't have my choice of white anymore. The red was extremely warm, do they store it next to the stove? After the starters were served, there was another unconscionable wait. In general, the food was very good although the vegetable accompaniment to my pork chop was too salty, and I like salty. The restaurant has a bad combination of high ambient noise and over large tables. If you are in a group of six, you will only be close enough to hear half of the table.

Had a reservation for 3. Sat on the patio which has a great ambience and was not crowded. Service started slowly but turned out to be spot on with good timing for food delivery, great half price bottle of wine on Mondays...can't go wrong with that! Great experience plus the waiter brought out 2 deserts for us at no charge. I'm local and have eaten here many times previously and will continue to frequent them. I've seen posts about poor service...if this begins to happen to you, get up and let them know, they'll make things right for you.

Seriously one of the best meals we've had in a long time. Recommended by a friend we trust we were not disappointed. All the food was fresh, light, well seasoned and artfully presented, even the caprese salad was a beautiful composition of heirloom tomatoes both big and small with the most delicious mozzarella and olive oil. Service was great and the restaurant was very busy, always a good sign. We will definitely return often.

This was not a godo experience. I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs which should be a pretty simple order. My pasta arrived cold, and my meatballs tasted like they were still frozen in the middle. The lady in the table next to us ordered the SAME thing, and had the exact same complaint. The pasts tasted like a can of prego poured over noodles.. No flavor. Not impressed at all.

I'm tempted to give the food 5 stars because some of the dishes were outstanding, however others were a contrasted disappointment. We went for starters & wine. The Burrata&Snap Peas dish is a unique and mouth watering combination, I definitely recommend this. We also ordered their Arancini, which was a nice take on the classic dish. The Pan Plano Mediterraneo and the Apple Crumble Pie were where we were disappointed though. The Pan Plano should be listed under the salads and explained that it is not actually a flatbread, it is more like a paper thin crispy cracker with salad. Arugula is always great on its own, but nothing else was really going right with that dish. Apple Crumble was just raw and soggy! Awesome ambiance overall though :)

We had reservations and were seated promptly. However, after that, it all went down hill. Our server was odd. She complained the minute we sat down about her schedule and other restaurant events. We made a wine selection and she kept trying to up-sell us to a higher priced wine and then winced when we stayed with our original choice. We ordered an appetizer that came about 30 minutes later. We placed our dinner order and never saw our server again until we complained 45 minutes later that our 2 entrees had still not arrived. The manager came out and apologized and said our food would be out shortly - it had never been submitted to the kitchen. 10 minutes later we asked for the bill and left. Rude and unaccommodating staff. We left hungry.

Had forgotten how expensive food was (in line w/ Grill on the Alley), but with that in mind it was very good. Had the double cut pork chop, very moist. Hubby had the steak cooked to perfection. We switched our sides as he does not like asparagus. I love it, but wished it wasn't so big (only got two stalks) and woody. I think we got the worst table in the place even though there were open tables (empty the whole time), would have thought having a reservation would not put us RIGHT next to the servers station. We had servers walking right up behind us placing their orders, getting water and silverware out of the drawer. I must have closed that drawer 5 times during dinner. Felt we had to lean out of the way so they could do their job.

We have dined at Mediterraneo many times and the food is always delicious. Being frequent diners, we would ask that the restaurant consider adding some new/different choices to the menu. The specials offered just aren't enough for those of us who go to the restaurant frequently. The service was impeccable and I highly recommend, for indoor dining, that you request the second room rather than dining in the first section - it's MUCH quieter.

First visit to Mediterraneo for Sunday Brunch and it was enjoyable. The menu choices were good but the food (at least mine) was just so-so. It was an egg scramble and wasn't warm which detracted from its flavor. The fruit served with it was the same old tired melon mixture with a strawberry thrown in for color. I especially do not like crunchy, unripe melon and that's what I got. Server was lovely, took time to snap a few pictures of my group of 4, and she was attentive to our needs. All in all, I would definitely return. I like the restaurant and its location and have enjoyed lunch and dinner there on several occasions (last Christmas Eve being one of them).

Our waiter was very good; busboys were ill-trained as in many other SoCal restaurants. Reaching in front of one guest to serve the other; asking who gets which dish (they should know before getting to the table); not noticing empty water glasses; not replacing cleared off utensils and bread plates; picking up too early or leaving dirty dishes on the table. Kudos for management for giving us a nice free dessert for our special occasion we celebrated. Nice outdoor ambience too.

She was funny, engaging, very knowledgeable about the menu and successfully recommended wines based on our preferences. I loved that we weren't interrupted very 10 minutes but that she definitely had an eye on us for when we needed refills or plates removed. Over all it was an excellent experience, as it has been every time we've dined here. I would not hesitate to bring clients here or other family/friends. Thank you for a gorgeous experience!

The Brick chicken was delicious, the seasoning was great. The sole special was excellent and both the Rustica salad and Arancini were delicious too. Would definitely return. We were there at 5pm and hopefully the service will be as attentive later in the evening. Love that I got 1000 pts with open table!!!
