There was some nice live music - not too loud - and the ambiance was lively and friendly. Food was delicious, although after a big lunch, I only had the cerviche. What I really admired was that the owners? managers? -- a man and a woman -- were constantly walking around the dining room keeping an eye on things. This adds a level of service you just don't see these days, even at the most expensive restaurants. When we were leaving, one of them caught me as I was going out the door to give me a parking coupon for the garage. A very pleasant surprise. Service was exceptional, very courteous and prompt. Mojitos were great, a little sweet but I like them on the sweet side.
We had decided to dine inside, but we could still enjoy the view of the covered outdoor patio and fountain.
We shared the mussel appetizer..so delicious..wish we had a double on that! and more bread to soak up the sauce!
The Strip Steak was perfect for the entrée..

Must say, I was very pleasantly surprised when I arrived to find a nice little restaurant, perfect for the meal I was hoping for. We sat outside, the ambiance was awesome, with a perfect soft lighting and a nice view of the town with the fountain right out front. My waiter was extremely attentive and friendly, and he also suggested a different beer for me which was terrific. I ordered the tagliatelle primavera, which was delicious, and my guest ordered the spring rigatoni, which she loved. The Mediterra staff was very kind and immediately arranged a table for us even though I had mistakenly made a reservation for the wrong hour. Our waiter chose some lovely wines for us, paired well with both our appetizers and entrees. I like the fact that the size of the meals at Mediterra are 'normal'... you leave with an overall satisfied feeling, having eaten quality-food. We topped our dinner off with a cheesecake, which we shared, and dessert-wines. Mediterra is definitely fit for foodies and special occassions. The variety of offerings on the menu is impressive, and a meal can be composed of full courses or a series of small plates. The restaurant was jam-packed at 5:30 and we had to leave at 6:40 for a 7:00 concert, and they made it happen. One caution: At first they tried to seat us at a terrible table in a dark back corner -- and I overheard a server say "Your table depends on the type of your reservation" (did he mean Open Table?)-- but when we refused that table we were moved to a beautiful place at the front of the restaurant near the window.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMOn our recent visit, my wifeOn our recent visit, my wife enjoyed the halibut beautifully prepared la plancha style while I enjoyed two favorite appetizers, calamari and baby octopus. The service was perfect and I have to say that I find fewer and fewer restaurants that really "get" this aspect of the dining experience. We had arrived a little early and were promptly seated. Our friend was a little late. The waiter took good but nonintrusive care of us. And the food was terrific. The menu is small but everything we had was excellent. We had the mixed meze to start and two of us had past dishes (one with vegetables and the other bolongnese) and the third had salmon. We split a dessert of apple tart with ginger ice cream. Our waitress was extremely thoughtful and we never felt rushed, although by the time we left there were no seats available. Food was excellent and what impressed me at the end (after we had paid) was the waitress came over with another bottle of sparkling water (we had consumed quite a few bottles) to top off the glasses.
