Fortunately it was too noisy to enjoy dinner conversation. Perhaps tables outside are better. The variety of offerings on the menu is impressive, and a meal can be composed of full courses or a series of small plates. The restaurant was jam-packed at 5:30 and we had to leave at 6:40 for a 7:00 concert, and they made it happen. One caution: At first they tried to seat us at a terrible table in a dark back corner -- and I overheard a server say "Your table depends on the type of your reservation" (did he mean Open Table?)-- but when we refused that table we were moved to a beautiful place at the front of the restaurant near the window.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMOn our recent visit, my wifeOn our recent visit, my wife enjoyed the halibut beautifully prepared la plancha style while I enjoyed two favorite appetizers, calamari and baby octopus. Our salads, Caesar and arugula were both excellent, as were my two glasses of Sangiovese and biscotti dessert. The service was perfect and I have to say that I find fewer and fewer restaurants that really "get" this aspect of the dining experience. We had arrived a little early and were promptly seated. Our friend was a little late. The waiter took good but nonintrusive care of us. And the food was terrific. The menu is small but everything we had was excellent. We had the mixed meze to start and two of us had past dishes (one with vegetables and the other bolongnese) and the third had salmon. We split a dessert of apple tart with ginger ice cream. We recently had two big family events there and both the food and service were spot on. Our waitress was extremely thoughtful and we never felt rushed, although by the time we left there were no seats available. Food was excellent and what impressed me at the end (after we had paid) was the waitress came over with another bottle of sparkling water (we had consumed quite a few bottles) to top off the glasses.
