Had all the potential but the service was so slow and almost to the point of awful. Food was avg. but could have been great if they got the order right. Disappointed.

As a local and neighbor we really hoped for a better level of service and food. I have talked with other residents who have tried the restaurant at various times and it's a bit like a roller coaster from poor to moderate to food was OK but service bad to we didn't get what we ordered to we'll try it one more time. The specials are enticing but if the meal takes forever, not what you want and the spaghetti is mushy, we'll think again.

Best value in San Diego with in door, outdoor and bar seating. The staff was so service oriented and worked as a team. The shining star is the food. The Sampler of meatballs is a great start to understand what you might like and they even cater to vegan / veggie too. Awesome experience will be coming back.

After hearing a good review from a friend we decided to try Meatball Cucina. While staffing was good along with a decent wine list - we were just not impressed with the meatball entrees or the sauces. Each of us had the Meatball Sampler - 5 different types of meatballs (your choice) and 5 different sauces. The big problem was that the meatballs were very dried out and virtually tasteless. The sauces helped - but even they needed some help. So there you go Chef - try hydrating the meatballs with "something" to give them a little flavor........

Newly opened after conversion from Sora. The old place was great. I hope our experience was a fluke. Not staffed adequately for the large crowd, especially the large groups. Ran out of salad. Wine took forever to arrive. My entrée arrive but was wrong. Tried again. Arrived again but my wife's entrée was missing. We asked four times to bring her food. In that time my meal turned from luke-warm to cold. About two hours after we arrived the food was still missing. We got our check, went home, and made dinner for ourselves. A wasted opportunity and a waste of money.
