Meet and eat! A purely interactive environment where people come to “mEAT” and socialize is our focus. While some restaurants incorporate skewers into their menu, a majority of our menu boasts the concept. Our skewers are meant to be ordered like sushi; complete ideas, cut in bite-sized pieces. We offer choice cuts of mEAT, seafood and garden varieties of many different styles. These gourmet bites are prepared on skewers and uniquely presented in front of patrons for family style serving. Meant to share, each patron will have their own tongs to select the scrumptious bites of their choice.

mEAT’s cocktails take a classic approach to molecular bartending. Using foams, whipped creams, carbonation and gels, our cocktails put a twist on the “all too familiar” in order to liven up comfortable, American cocktail traditions.

  • "Really nice environment. Very easy to get to if your staying downtown. The service here is top notch, they go out of their way to make sure your happy. However, drinks are very pricey for how much you get. Bartenders are slow, even though there was 3 behind the bar. The food is great, but again it's pricey for what you get ."

  • "mEAT on Chestnut is easy to miss from the street but it has certainly earned it's place in Chicago's Gold Coast/Streeterville neighborhood! The best Churrascaria, Fondue, and inspired remixes on classic steakhouse fair make mEAT a staple to the Chicago vast culinary landscape. In addition to outstanding food and the best service, mEAT offers a cocktail menu that challenges the norm by taking pages out of Aviary's book. The Magarita is definitely something to treasure, as is the Vaportini which allows patrons to inhale their vodka (or Brandy in my case) hookah style instead of drinking it. The result is a beautifully subtle and steady buzz that can last the entire meal. Bravo to the owners of D.S. Tequila Co. & MiniBar!"

  • "I haven't enjoyed a dining out experience this much in a long time. The food was great as were the drinks. Our waiter was very helpful and thoughtful. The entire staff was terrific. I will definitely recommend to friends and I will be back myself."

  • "I took some very picky, persnickety people with me to mEat (not as a test I swear) and they loved it. Are looking forward to going back, even scheming about what to order. Plenty of water at the table, love that. Drinks were delicious, particularly the Manhattan--a nice petite size, and uniquely flavorful. The kale chips, which just showed up (policy or because the place is new to our hood?) when we sat down, were fabulous. The kale salad was a revelation. We loved the scallops, one guest the meat balls. They loved the quinoa casserole. Creamed corn really good too, made just ok compared to everything else?? Dunno. Same for veggie skewer. But ok, "meat" is the name of the place. :) Great experience. Planning next visit."

  • "So I decided to try mEAT after a long day of work; 12 hours of styling and attitudes. It was actually around 11pm and although they'd close within the hour, it didn't once feel as so. I was greeted with great pleasure, seat very quickly, and already had my order in-all in about 2-minutes with the great enthusiasm and knowledge of my waiter; she even talked me into trying Lobster MacNCheese (I hate seafood). The skewers were AMAZING, full flavored, juicy, hot, and came quick! I also LOVED the MacNCheese, and Bacon Flat Bread. Prices are very reasonable, all workers a fun, approachable, and extremely great at their jobs. The owner/manager is also very nice, he welcomed me at the door. I have already gone back for a pick uup order!!"
