Diner Reviews
  • "seating was a little close for comfort inside, I felt like the table lext to me was overlapping me! We ordered off of the Miami Spice Menu, the selections were well, though there was only one dessert option. The menu is A la carte so the sides that accompnay the entree are ordered separtely and have a five dollar charge additional. The Salmon was cook perfect and literally slid from one piece to the next."

  • "Food at Meat Market always very good. The Miami Spice Menu was good but dissapointing to see upcharges on a number of Miami Spice offerings."

  • "Everything about Meat Market was perfect. The ambiance and decor are great and the service is unlike any I have experienced in a while. Extremely knowledgeable staff, always there for whatever you may need but not constantly swarming. And the food is outstanding! Definitely will be back soon."

  • "From start to finish was a great meal! The waitstaff was attentive and gave great menu suggestions. Food was absolutely delicious. Pricey but well worth the cost!"

  • "Service and food were outstanding. Our waiter described their special steak that evening (bone in filet with marrow flown in from Chicago) so well we had to order it and were not dissappointed. It was delicious and the carmelized brussel sprots were amazing! We can't wait to go back!"

  • "First time in Meat Market, i had stopped for an appetizer while my wife & daughters shopped and Jen (at bar) suggested the steak tartare, it was great along with good wine selection by glass. Went back late rthat night for dinner and it was even better. kids had the Miami Spice menu which was a bargain for what they served. their tuna tartare was amazing as well."

  • "Great Miami Spice menu! Everything was excellent! Have the Tuna Tartar and Chilean Seabass! A+++ food and service!"

  • "My girlfriend and I attended Meat Market to check out what they're offering for Miami Spice this year and we were not disappointed! We had a great tasting ribeye and a good filet (not as tasty as the ribeye). Also, we each got appetizers and dessert with the entrées for significantly less than we usually spend there. It's a great steak lovers destination and if you like saving a couple bucks while eating great, check out Meat Market during Miami Spice before it ends in September. Oh and try their Gouda tator tots! ...so good!"

  • "Food was amazing. The cocktails were great too. Best crispy Brussels sprouts I've had."

  • "Enjoyed eating here. Ordered the skirt steak. It was really good. I am very detail oriented so I noticed that our server did not go over all of the specials with us prior to our order but with other tables went over each and every special in detail and with much enthusiasm. Made me wonder why he choose not to review specials with my husband and I as we may have selected one of them which may have increased his gratuity. Besides this oversight in the service, the food was excellent, the drinks were great and I would recommend visiting this restaurant if you are in the mood for good food."

  • "My wife and I came here looking for the best steaks in Miami, and we weren't disappointed. Our steaks were amazing, the sides were equally great, and our waiter was a very cool dude. Fun atmosphere too, similar to a Vegas restaurant. If you're thinking of going to Prime 112 or another of the notable high end steak joints, check this place out first..."

  • "The service was impeccable. They provide two waiters for each table. The servers were knowledgeable about wine and the menu. They constantly check to see if you need anything and are very friendly. The setting is very elegant and loungy but still kid friendly. My husband and I brought our 11 year old son. The food was amazing! The best dinner experience we have had in South Beach. Highly recommend the Sea Bass which melted in your mouth. My husband had the steak and loved it. Just a great experience and evening"

  • "I ordered the crab and lobster cakes for my appetizer. My date ordered the escargots. Both arrived perfectly prepared. I tried her escargots for the first time and discovered them to be quite tasty. My cakes melted in my mouth. Main courses were the meat samplers for each, prepared rare for the lady and medium for myself. Side dishes were asparagus (amazing), truffle mashed potatoes (Whipped and extremely flavorful) and brussel sprouts (which I didn't try, but she finished). The meat samplers were devoured handily. The sommelier paired a perfect red to accompany our meal (a Solocontigo)."

  • "The staff is the best thing there. Friendly funny and not hipocritical and stuffy. Very honest opinions about their food, we appreciated that. The food however is overpriced, my steak had lots of fatty tissue on it. Ambience is fun, very vibrant the hostess and the waitresses are very friendly."

  • "I read many reviews and the photos of the interior were beautiful so we went to check it out. The servers were nice but to be honest the food was very disappointing at best. I would have thought with the name "Meat Market" there would have been a focus on having an amazing piece of meat, but my filet mignon was not even close to what I would have expected. I would not return to this restaurant nor would I recommend it to anyone."

  • "Love my dinning experience at this amazing steakhouse! Filet mignon was cooked perfectly! The wedge salad was so delicious.. We will definitely go back to this great restaurant."

  • "The place did not advise that they had a no shorts policy. The only place on Lincoln Road with such a policy. Left there went to Smith & Wollensky got seated and had a great steak. Policy should be communicated at the time of booking."

  • "Meat Market mixes South America Steak with Japanese menu. We were on steak and it was very good. Plenty of Antipasto options as we'll main and side dishes. But all of these choices has its cost. Be careful with wine list that could cost easely $200 for an average wine. When hear "we have some out of menu dishes" be alert!! Ask the price, serving size, and everything you need to know before ordering. Overall it is a good choice for meat lovers."

  • "Very disappointed. Beautiful restaurant, excellent service, pricey, but disappointment was in the food - worst steak I could not finish it - tasted so badly if old, poor quality of meat."

  • "I've been here many times and it's always great. The food is prepared wonderfully and the staff (Hey Idy!) is on their game at all times. It's a little on the pricey side, but worth it if you're looking to treat yourself or someone else to a fantastic dinner."

  • "One of the best steaks I've ever tasted. We split the new york strip (rare) and it was delicious, tender and beautifully seasoned. Started with the ceviche of the day and the tuna, both excellent. Good creamed spinach (although thought the addition of bacon a bit over the top). The french fries were amazing, seasoned with paprika and sugar I think, very addictive. Couldn't manage desserts."
    Dined on 6/11/2014
  • "The Service was attentive. However The steak was a bit over charcoiled on the outside. As per the starters the tuna tarter missed some tortilla chips (two are rather insufficient) and the wagyu carpaccio and empanada duet being outstanding by itself should have an even number of empanadas (when you're sharing)"

  • "My party and I chose this place with no prior knowledge of what it had to offer. We were pleasantly surprised that all elements from the food to the service to the ambience far exceeded our expectations. We definitely plan to revisit when we return to Miami!"

  • "The service at this location was excellent. We had reservations, and we were seated promptly at a nice table in the middle of the restaurant. We had two servers being attentive to us all night. Our glasses were not empty for longer than a minute throughout the night. In my opinion, the food was not good. We had the escargot as our appetizer, which was delicious! Then we had filet mignons(medium), baked potato, and grated potatoes. The food was not tasty, and the meat was not tender either. The house drinks were ok. Later we opted to continue with red wine. Overall, the service was impeccable, the establishment was very nice, however the food was not up to par. I can't recommend and I hardly doubt I'll return."

  • "Service was much too pushy and overall price/value ratio was average"

  • "The food was ok - but the serving people do not make your stay a true experience. They are focussed on making money rather than you."
    Dined on 5/22/2014
  • "Was there 2 years ago and was excited. But this time service was bad (our) and the food was OK but not fantastic. Get better filets at Smith&Wollensky or at Mortons for less money. Will not try again."

  • "The staff could not have been nicer and more responsive. The foie gras appetizer (grilled) was very good and the bread was fantastic. The atmosphere was nice and the wine list was impressive. Now for the bad news, the main courses were just awful. Our $50 filet was overcooked and completely tasteless. The special of the evening (sea bass with truffle oil) was, frankly, inedible. The undercooked fish and truffle mash potatoes were so soaked with truffle oil that you could taste nothing else but the oil. Overall the experience was disappointing. Hopefully their chef gets it together with his and/or her main courses as the atmosphere and wait staff could not have been nicer."
