Fine Lebanese Cuisine in a warm upscale contemporary space.

Enjoyed the mezzas for two. Was
plenty to share with bread. The Lebanese wine was excellent. Much better than a heavy cab."

The food was delish. My friend and
I had the mezza sampler and that was the right way to go. The manager came over to make sure we were having a good experience which was a nice touch since it was my first time there. My only gripes are that where I sat there was no view (I was looking at the wall) and I didnt know there was parking right next door so I parked a few blocks away. So now I know there is parking and to get a better seat :)"

Great food, especially lamb chops
and eggplant. Good to share. Wonderful service- I especially appreciated the waiter teling us (party of 6) that the bill included the tip."

This was top notch. I had reserved
a table for valentines day for my girlfriend and I. The host and servers were very friendly. It is a family owned business. The food was great, we ordered too much. The portions are filling. I ordered the shrimp and my girlfriend and I share a sampler. There is free parking in the lower level. We found out after the leaving from the owner. He also gave me a hug and my girlfriend a kiss and said come back! lol We will!"

This was our 4-5th visit to Me
Jana. The menu is varied, with a large varieties of cold and warm mezza, all of which are delicious, and easy to shrare btw 2-3 people. The staff is extremely gracious, know the menu, are happy to make suggestions, and allow time to pace the arrival of your food. It's lovely to go to a restaurant, where you eat what you want, it's superbly seasoned, and well portioned."

We had a 7:30 valentine's night
appointment but with the snow storm the previous day traffic was bad and so we called and told them we will be 15 mins late. We got there at 7:50 and the guy exclaim that s we're "coming at 8 for a 7:30 appointment". We let it slide. We get a good table in the corner. We picked the valentine's menu. The appetizers were good. But the mixed grill was not cooked medium-well the way we wanted. The lamb was medium/medium-rare. The chicken seemed like it was pre-cooked and just heated up prior to serving. The portion sizes were good, so no complaints there. Dessert was also good. Overall it was not a bad valentine's dinner, it's just the quality could have been a bit better. We would still go there again."

Understand February 14th is a busy
day, but we felt rushed and crammed in. Ordered 6-7 items, asked that they be brought out in order only a few at a time. Everything came out at once, very little room on the table to eat."
Dined on 2/14/2014
I explained to the greeter that I
was there for a 6:30 reservation and that my husband was parking the car. He quickly said, Does he know about the parking garage with free parking?" And then he followed me out side to flag my husband down to tell him where to park. AND it was cold and he didn't have a coat on! I have never had such GREAT service! And it only got better! The food was great, so was the service (and VERY friendly too!) and we love the atmosphere of the place. This is a GREAT find. We WILL be back!"
Dined on 2/8/2014
I always have a great time here!
The food is amazing and the service is great."
Dined on 2/1/2014
This little hidden gem was perfect
for a long, slow dinner while catching up with an old friend. They didn't rush us, and we were able to enjoy scotch, appetizers and our meal. We had tapas style food, all of which was tasty and authentic (falafel is great here!). They are a little pricey, but it's worth it."
Dined on 11/9/2013
I went to dinner during restaurant
week in order to get a little taste of a couple of items. We were greeted instantly, had great service and the food was delicious! ( Highly recommend the Lamb Shank). It was a lot of food and I left very full."
Dined on 1/13/2014
Let's face it Me Jana has great
food but it's very pricey. The prices are doable during Restaurant Week but if they want more business on a regular basis they need to loose some of their dollar signs. Their prices on the regular menu are about 30% too high."
Dined on 1/19/2014
The food and ambiance and the
service was excellent. On the pricier side, but I will definitely go back. The menu is interesting and you'll have options. I had a delicious meal and a good time. Looks like you can eat outside when the weather is nice and group outing would probably work out just fine too. Located on the corner of Clarendon Blvd and N Adams"

Perfect location 1 block to AMC
Courthouse movie theater for pre-movie dinner. We shared the small plates (mezze) and all were tasty but the kibbeh was particularly good. The service was quick and attentive. Restaurant is on the small side so definitely make a reservation. This was my first time and will definitely go back."
Dined on 1/17/2014
The restaurant is nicely decorated
and the staff are friendly. I ordered two warm mezza (small) plates, the lamb shank and the salmon and both were very good. My date ordered the mixed grill, which he enjoyed. It came with three different meats. For dessert we had baklava, which was misspelled on the menu "baklawa." I found that irritating because it's such a silly mistake that should have been corrected since it's a nice spot. Baklava can be made different ways, and their's is on the dry side, not a problem for those who prefer it that way. I've had it lathered in honey or at least drizzled with honey. I ordered the Mango Mojito which was alright - it didn't taste that mango-y. I recommend this spot. It's a great choice for a date."
Dined on 1/16/2014
This was my second time at Mejana.
The seating this time was in a busier part of the restaurant and we were next to a big group, so the noise level was quite high. The service was excellent. My friend and I shared four mezze which was more than adequate In terms of amount of food. The feta salad was particularly delicious."
Dined on 1/15/2014
AND IT WAS EXCELLENT. THE SERVICES
WAS VERY GOOD. THE RESTAURANT WAS FULL OF PEOPLE. SO WHEN YOU SEE A RESTAURANT FULLED THEN YOU KNOW THE FOOD MUST BE GOOD. MANAGEMENT IS VERY PERSONABLE WITH PEOPLE. AND THAT GOES OVER VERY WELL. I TOOK MY NEICE FROM NEW YORK AND SHE WAS IMPRESS."
Dined on 1/14/2014
Although owner / manager was
(initially) a little creepy on the phone (after calling 30mins in advance to say we were going to be 10mins late) ~ and we were ~ the staff was attentive (although slightly crude), the menu was great and food excellent. By the way, after you struggle with finding a parking spot a few blocks away - the staff will inform you they've a parking lot with plenty of room across the street."
Dined on 12/31/2013
We are vegetarian/vegan. There was
a good selection of vegan tapas-like dishes which were well-prepared and good sized."

Me Jana is close to my office and
we go here a lot for work lunchs. Excellent service and food. Love this place."

The pita and labneh alone make
this restaurant amazing. But all the dishes are delicious. :)"

This was a great experience for an
early NYE dinner. I made the res the day before - no problem. Before 9 they had a la carte and no prix fixe which is great because my boyfriend and I don't eat meat and my other friend doesn't eat gluten. The food was great and started coming out pretty fast. It was really energetic and busier than usual because it was NYE--i've been there several other times and it hasn't been as bustling. The service was good in that everyone was friendly but usually the service here is EXCELLENT. Probably because it was busier than normal service was a bit more of a struggle. Either way the experience was great, food was great and I would definitely recommend for NYE or any other dinner. Calamari is FANTASTIC"

Of the dishes I tried one was
better and the other one was worse, than the one I had at the Lebanese Taverna. I missed what is a feature of the Lebanese Taverna, the warm bread and the oil to dip it in served, as soon as you arrive. In this restaurant you have to aske for this items, they arrive only when the food is served, and they do not provide the oil to dip the bread in. Cheap."

This was my third time to this
restaurant! I love the atmosphere and the outdoor dining is unbeatable. The food is excellent, but this is the second time I have had less than great service! While the waitress came over to ask how things were, she never refilled the water glasses or asked me if I wanted more iced tea! This is basic and should not be overlooked. I love this place and just hope they train their servers on the details."

I planned a work dinner at Me
Jana. The service was quick and the waitress was knowledgeable about the food and drinks."
Dined on 12/11/2013
This is where I go when I don't
want to entertain at home. The food is always good and service is too. It can get loud but not so loud that you can't hear one another. My friends enjoyed this as much as I did. Oh, the zucchini fritters are incredible. But the same can't be said for the Lebanese wine."
Dined on 12/12/2013
Since we moved away from the
neighborhood, we don't get to eat at Me Jana as often as we used to, but I'm happy to say it's just as great as ever. We enjoyed a relaxing meal before heading downtown to see Elvis Costello. We always order labneh to go with the amazing soft warm pita. Among our favorite dishes are the gambas (shrimp sauteed in olive oil, garlic & spices), ablama (zucchini stuffed with beef), chicken shwarama, multicolor salad (green beans, roasted peppers & beets), and the excellent lentil soup. This visit we tried the seared halloumi with warm dates & pears -- yummy! And you can't go wrong with the grape leaves or awesome thyme fries. Be sure to try a glass of the mouthwatering Lebanese red wine!"

I really enjoyed my lunch
experience at Me Jana. The waiter was really helpful and the food is very authentic. All in all, a very good experience."

Party of six to celebrate a
birthday. Just kept on ordering small plates. It was a feast! A banquet! Fun! Food was fabulous. Cozy and warm environment. Just as long as you weren't the one picking up the bill, it was a delight! On the down side, waitress didn't understand all that we ordered/did not order, argued with us about things we definitely did not order, brought us things double and charged us, and overall was not suited to handle a "large" party. But other than that, all was good."
Dined on 11/9/2013
I went to Me Jana several times in
the year or two after it opened and it was great. Went back recently and although the menu is the same, the food quality has declined. The food came out right away but tasted as if it had been under warming lights for hours. It did not taste like it was made to order."
Dined on 11/7/2013
Our table of 4 tried many of the
small plates and enjoyed every one."
Dined on 10/27/2013
We went to Me Jana for a dinner
date, and had a great experience. The staff was very attentive, friendly and offered some great advice when we asked about their favorites. We enjoyed the lentil soup for our appetizer, and the mixed grill was exceptional. Generous portions for the price. Only negative we'd comment on was the timing. We hadn't finished our delicious lentil soup before the mixed grill arrived. We didn't feel rushed, just think the kitchen needs to time itself a bit better."

a favorite for early evening
dining on our way to an event"

I love Lebanese food and this is
one of my favorite places. Everything we ordered was excellent. Our waiter suggested a dish with cheese, dates and pears that was so delicious. I am almost drooling thinking about it. We also ordered the stuffed grape leaves, baba ganoush and the mixed grill. It was all very good. I highly recommend this restaurant."
Dined on 10/4/2013
We go pretty regularly and as
always everything was fantastic and the service was great - they don't fawn over you, but are always there when you need them!"

We needed a convenient location in
Arlington for dinner and a business meeting. We sat outside on a beautiful fall night. The waiter allowed us plenty of time to conduct our business while bringing small plates and drinks just at the right time. His selection was spot on. Try the lamb shank it does melt in your mouth!"
Dined on 9/25/2013
I had the chicken kebab dinner
dish. Granted, this probably weren't the best option to base a rating on, but the price was pretty crazy for such a cheap meal. $30 for 8 chunks of chicken and a pile of rice. The rice was delicious. The chicken was OK. Nice atmosphere, service was great."
Dined on 9/22/2013
Recently went to Me Jana with
husband and a friend for dinner on Saturday night. Couldn't help but notice the high prices charged on all of the dishes. All of the appetizers were at least $10 each. How can you charge $10 for 4 falafels balls or four grape leave wraps. My lamb chop entree was $31. Granted it came with four chops but still. Ridiculousness! The food was quite good and came up super fast so I was happy about that. The bread was a pita bread of sorts and came out warm with a choice of olives, sour cream, and olive oil dippings. Overall, an exotic Mediterranean dinner place in the heart of Arlington. Not sure I would go back."
Dined on 9/15/2013
I've been to MeJana a dozen times
and it never fails to exceed my expectations. From the fresh tabouli to the outstanding cheese rolls, to the grilled meat. The raw Kibbi, however, is the gem. Very few restaurants can pull off this feat. Accompanied with a glass of Arak, this feast is among the best dining experiences in town."
Dined on 9/13/2013
There must be something about that
block because it is home to some really good restaurants Rays, Fireworks and my new favorite Jana."
