McNamara’s is Located in the center of the TriValley. McNamara's Steak and Chop House (patterned after the famous chop houses in Chicago) is situated near the junction of Highway 580 and 680, less than three miles from Bishop Ranch and Hacienda Business Park. Surrounded by San Ramon, Pleasanton and… Castro Valley, the restaurant is within minutes from Danville, Alamo and Livermore. If you're from out of town, McNamara’s is within two miles or less of most of the major hotels.

We serve only the finest hand selected Midwestern corn fed Angus beef, aged for a minimum of 21 days. All of our fish is delivered fresh daily. Our bread is hand crafted and baked fresh 7 days per week. Our award winning wine list features some of the finest wines available in California.Continued

"Picked McNamara's by luck. Not familiar with the area but I was pleasantly surprised by the great service and great food. I was entertaining a client but I would bring my wife to McNamara's without question. I would recommend to anyone looking fro a great meal in a great atmosphere!"

"We have Enjoyed dinner many many times probably (20+)at McNamara's for over 10 years However we have not been the last two years. Unfortunately things have changed I don't know if its management or the economy or both but the restaurant is headed in the wrong direction! Friday evening and hardly any patrons. The menu is cheaper but so are the cuts of meat. The potato's au gratin is not as rich and full as it used to be. They charge for bread and water! and don't tell you ahead of time!the Host's & Host es are not as charming and neat as before. This makes me sad this was one of our favorite dinning spots in the valley. In this economy we are expected to lower our expectations of things? this can't be the case when spending $385.00"

"My wife and I have eaten at McNamara's several times over the past year, and each time the food was excellent, the service was very attentive, and the atmosphere very enjoyable with the live pianist (at least on Saturday nights -- I don't know how often he plays). We love the prime rib, which is just as good as at the best steakhouses in San Francisco. Even if you don't live close by, I'd say it's worth a drive to get a great steak or prime rib at McNamara's."
