We had 3 kids at the table, ages 5, 7 and 8 and they all did very well. Food came out in a timely fashion and our server was very nice. We were a party of 7 so it was a little hard to hear the others at the end of the table because it is a touch loud. It would have been nicer if we could have sat outside but it was blazing hot. Would definitely recommend it but it is a little pricey and I think $8.95 for a kid's meal is crazy. Pricing is very much in line, though, with what you will find at National Harbor. Server - Doug was top notch, had a great personality and even though the restaurant was very busy he made sure we were taken care of. I had the seared tuna which was a little bland. Asked for some additional Wasabi sauce and that made all of the difference. Had the opportunity to taste one of our party's pistachio crusted halibut. It's conviently located to us and usually not so crowded during the week. It is expensive as all the restaurants at the National Harbor are and there aren't any discounts nor can you get points for dining here and you have to pay for parking. The food is very good and being on the river is a nice.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMMcLoone's Pier HouseOur recent visit to McLoone's presented us with that rare dining experience when cuisine, service, and gorgeous view combined with perfect weather and hushed outdoor setting. It seemed more as if we dropped into a pricey resort restaurant than a nearby riverfront pub. The tender steaks and savory seafood were served hot and cooked as ordered. The huge asparagus spears also were prepared to perfection. Not McLoones fault but it was a terrible experience trying to come into National Harbor, navigate streets and identify parking during first visit. I was expecting a little more from the Parmesan mashed potatoes given the name and the other food but they were fine.
