As soon as we arrived we were given a beeper, not a good sign since we had made a reservation. As an Orange Resident their is much ado about the new restaurant by the reservoir!!!! While I have been on several occasions my siblings and mom have not!!! So I used this special occasion to expose this GEM right at our back door!!!! Everyone loved the food, the beautiful restaurant and the awesome view!!!!

I had an espresso martini, and then the shrimp/lobster bisque to start. The herbed butter that comes with the bread basket is to die for. Salty and flavorful.
For dinner, my wife had the filet mignon, and she said it was not the best she ever had, but very tasty nonetheless. I had the Korean Hangar Steak Tower which was really flavorful. The skirt steak was done in a sesame soy marinade, with an awesome risotto cake at the base. Yum!
We shared a piece of flourless chocolate cake for dessert and my gluten-free wife REALLY enjoyed that. We left there very full and satisfied. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the service, atmosphere, and food. The seafood options are wide and varied. Many of our party had steak and it was prepared and cooked perfectly. Even the token sushi menu can be forgiven as they ride that trend.

I loved the food, the service, the drinks, but the noise level meant I couldn't hear most of the conversation at our table for 4! Not sure if we'll go back unless we can sit outside (beautiful view by the way). So I guess it has to be a Summer restaurant for us. The bar was abuzz with conversation. We were lucky to snag a few seats. Nice happy hour...good prices, nice selection and generous drink sizes. The atmosphere is upscale lodge. Warm and inviting. Among the four of us, we had a variety of dishes. The food, was delicious and the service attentive and friendly.
Also went with a group of 9 for lunch on another occasion. Very nice selection, and the food was delicious. The service was a little slow, however (not sure if it was the kitchen or the waitstaff),

The food was fresh and wonderfully prepared and the environment was fun but relaxing and surprisingly calming for such a big place (the bar is lively but positioned far enough away so it doesn't encrouch on the diners). We had out of town guests and decided to try lunch, knowing it wouldn't be so crowded. LOVE this place! My only complaint is that it is noisy, possibly due to the high ceilings? Can't wait to go back when the outside seating is open! I made a lunch reservation through Open Table and there was no reservation when I arrived. One note-before you make your reservation check the restaurant's webpage. Some nights they have Jim McLoone's Radio Show in the dining area at 7PM. It happened to be going on while we were eating. I wanted to bring a cake in but didnt realize they charge $1.50 per slice just to slice it. Learn something new every day. Salads are incredible, but crab cakes have a good amount of filler in them. Just a personal preference I like mostly crab in my crab cakes.
