A word from McCray's Tavern - West Village
McCray's Tavern at the West Village is definitely one of Smyrna's hidden gems. Redefining the concept of American neighborhood bar and grill, this instant classic is a cornerstone in Vinings, and a local favorite.
McCray's Tavern boasts 49 taps with an eclectic selection of draft beers that compliment its exceptional American fare. Everything is prepared from only the highest quality and freshest local ingredients. Besides our diverse menu, our executive chef always has something special to offer every night of the week. Creating specials such as bacon-crusted meatloaf, to Rack of Lamb, this local gastro pub serves anything but "bar food."Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "My freind and I were looking for a new spot to try, didn't want to go to the usual chain restaurants. McCray's was a nice surprise. Food was good and the service was excellent!"

  • "Enjoyed McCray's on my first visit on Saturday. Food selection & portions were good. Really enjoyed my steak salad that included fries - yum! The best of both worlds! The only issue I had was the server having a large group to serve in addition to my table and two others. An additional server was definitely needed for that many people. Despite this, he was still very accommodating. Will return!"

  • "Good food, good drinks, good service, good value...as always. The only blip was that our reservation was for five people and we were seated in the bar at a table for four. We were cram packed. But on a positive note, the bar was rockin' loud and our close proximity to each other made it easier to converse!"

  • "If you live in the Vinings/Smyrna area, come eat here! The food & service is always awesome (in 6+ years never had a complaint)! If your into sports this place is awesome - nice energy, but you can still enjoy the game. If your a beer aficionado, pop it, they have a plethora of draft beers. The brunch on Sunday is fantastic; the steak & eggs entree is enough for 3 & the skillets are always a good choice; and who can pass up a $5.00 bloody mary bar (great pour of a good vodka)?! Ask for Whitney, shes fantastic, (as is the entire staff)."

  • "This place is what I expect from a sports tavern. I feel comfortable and well attended when I'm there. You can see the game from any table due to the abundance of monitors. The food is tasty and reasonably priced."

  • "We went with a group to watch football. The food was better than typical bar food a d plenty of TVs to watch the game. Good atmosphere - not too loud , but felt "Alive". Not too noisy that we couldn't talk which was great."

  • "We've had our college football watch parties at McCray's this season. It's been a fun place for our group and we've enjoyed good food and great service!"

  • "A group of four of us went and had pastrami sandwiches. They were not what we expected. All had dried pastrami that seems like they tried to fry in oil to juice it up. All sandwiches were served on white bread, not toasted, but just plain white bread. Not good. What was good was the beer selection and our waiter. This restaurant is located in an upscale area and you would think that the food would be better then it was. We won't be dining there again or recommending it."
