I have been to several McCormick's and been delighted with the service. 6 minutes for server to show up. Another five minutes for water. Another 5 minutes for drinks. Cocktail was wrong and had to be remade. Servers just seem to disappear for the whole dining room. We were planning on spending about $200 to $250 on drinks, appetizers and desert. It would have taken 3.5 to 4 hours. We gave up and only spent $100. Hopefully the general manager starts training the staff because this store was not busy while their competitors were packed at 7 PM on a Saturday night!

Enjoyed dining at McCormick's Fish House. If you're looking for a classy seafood restaurant that offers a range of culinary choices, this is it. Our server was very friendly and attentive yet not intrusive and we were fortunate to have a window seat that allowed us to "people watch" while we dined. We don't normally join restaurant "clubs" but Landry's Select Club is worth the one-time $25 charge as you get a $25 credit for just joining and you can use the credit towards any restaurant that falls under the Landry's restaurant umbrella (e.g. Chart House, Oceanaire, Claim Jumper). Needless to say, we are now club members!

We have been going to McCormick's Fish House for about 23 years. We have always enjoyed our experience there. Food and service has always been very good. However, out last experience was not very good. The food was okay but not to the level of the past. The real issue we had was with the drinks. The wine by the glass was very disappointing. The charge for a Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay was $15.00 and the amount of wine in the glass was absurdly little, much less than a normal wine by the glass at other restaurants. The mixed drinks were very weak, mostly just tonic water or soda. As they say, "it just wasn't what it used to be."

We requested a booth for a special birthday dinner for a family member. That request was not honored, it was as if the hostess and wait staff had totally ignored the request.......we were upset expecting the request to be honored - otherwise why even ask - it creates expectations that they cannot or will not fulfill....

Appetizers: Tuna and a kobe something were amazing. I had crab legs. Turns out, through no fault of the restaurant, that I don't like crab. Service was excellent, although the waitress said that they were out of Sambuca and I should try Campari which has the same taste. Not even close. But I would return. Thank you

Overall very nice. Our out of town guests were pleased. my meal was mediocre. 4shrimp, 2 scallops, and a 3 0z salmon for $33, mixed grill. Everyone else liked their meals. As we arrived the server announced that he wasn't sure we would show but he "saved" our table. We arrived at the host stand at precisely the time of our reservation. Throughout he seemed determined to act out a play written for him. He would not take our orders when we wanted ,explaining that he was going to do this and that and then would come the proper time for us to order. When removing a plate a guest was not finished with, he actually said "one more bite" and then stood waiting overhead until he stuffed the remainder in his mouth and then took the plate. Oblivious

we have been there several times over the years for special occasions the last time may have been 3 or 4 years ago. I was surprised to see a significant menu change. No more escargot etc. and both a new look to the room. I remember sitting booths in the middle making the restaurant feel cozier and less spacious.

This restaurant is in an elegant, old building with much charm. The service was warm and efficient. We really wanted to like this place but the food was very underwhelming. The sourdough bread was delicious and our salads were good although mine was a bit overdressed. The entrees were disappointing, though. We both had salmon but different preparations. The fish itself was cooked well but under-seasoned. One came with a berry reduction but there was not enough of it on the plate to taste. When asked, though, the server did bring more. The other had a maple-whiskey glaze, tasty but once again, hardly enough to taste. The roasted veg that accompanied the fish were tasty. All in all, for the price, very disappointing.

McCormick's used to be top notch and very classy. No more! We were out for a romantic dinner, a sales pitch at the end was omg yuk! My plate had a shape that was so strange I could not begin to describe it , but I have seen nicer plates at Wal-Mart. The shape was so terrible that my fork kept falling off into my lap. Having a manager come by to ask us how everything was is fine is not what I associate with up scale dining; a seasoned wait person can handle that just fine. I would come back for lunch on the patio or a drink in the bar, but not dinner.

Providing consistent, high quality food and service is the standard here. Wait staff are mostly long time professionals, new folks are well trained, courteous, and professional. The restaurant is located in the venerable Oxford Hotel, so you get some very historic ambience. Booths are a bit tight, but comfortable seating is available at the many tables. Recently updated, this is a very good place for business lunches and dinners. But do not forget that they also serve breakfast. I often arrive early in my commute to have the Oxford Breakfast, which is always great. The menu is changed daily, and is quite arguably the best fish restaurant downtown. Convenient location, valet parking, easy access, & right next to the booming LoDo

The room was about 30% full, so not packed, but we sat for about 10 minutes before the hostess came back and asked if we wanted anything to drink. We ordered a wine and a beer. 5 minutes later a waiter stopped by saying he would be right back. Another 5 minutes and a different waitress comes to serve us. She said our drink order was in. 10 minutes later we get our drinks. My wife ordered an angus filet and crab special. I asked for help between 3 items and got a suggestion. When the food shows I get the wrong order. My wifes steak is tough and the crab is basically nonexistent. After they take mine back, the right order is disappointing. Again, lack of crab. Never was approached by a manager. I hope it was just a bad night on their end.

We had a party of 14 attending a celebration for a college graduation. The original reservation was for 12 but they were able to accommodate 2 more guests. The service by Lauren was great and the food was amazing. Several of us had the Lobster Bisque and enjoyed it!. The prices were reasonable for both the food and drink.
