  • "Get to Portland area 3-4 times a year and always make sure I have dinner with family or friends at McCormick's, the service & food have always been great!"

  • "All seafood we've ordered has been well prepared, not over-cooked or flavors overpowered by condiments. I recommend a better preparation of the vegetables; good selection and proper cooking for texture."

  • "Food was so so. For appetizers we had the Dungeoness Tower which was more like a tiny cylinder... and the Calamari which was nice. My daughter had the sturgeon and that was excellent. The Tilapia was not cooked very well and the Alaskan Razor Clams were pretty chewy. The vegetables that came with the dinner were "steamed" however not enough, they were barely warm and raw. The couscous that came with the Tilapia was a poor choice as it had an odd taste and the parsnips in it gave it no added flavor, nor color. Dessert was very nice with the chocolate bag, which was more of a box really. Service was good starting out, however the swordfish wasn't available as first ordered. By the end of the meal, service slowed to a crawl."

  • "The food was good but the price was out of this world. We won't be back as it took a long time to get our water refilled and we were not asked if we would like to take home our expensive left overs. They were just removed."
    Dined on 4/5/2014
  • "Food portions are small and expensive. Decor is out dated and dark. Not all ingredients in a dish are listed on the menu, ex: the crusted tilapia comes with a pineapple mango salsa on top which was not listed on the description on the menu, my mom is allergic to pineapple so she had to return her dish. By the time she got her replacement dish the rest of the family had already finished there meal."

  • "Staff friendly and were super accommodating in taking my husbands dinner back but for the price I think they. Oils serve better than 2 stems of crunchy broccoli. The sturgeon was okay, the waitress did not recommend the Mahi Mahi so I didn't get it. My husband got the Mahi and it was delicious. Very few dairy free options and what they offered was flavorless. We did get free dessert for our Anniversary."

  • "Great service!!!. We were celebrating a birthday and it was such a nice touch to have her birthday on the menu!!!! Love that!"

  • "McCormick's is a local favorite of our family. Always serving the freshest & tastiest seafood."

  • "Ok food, good service, noisy, and above average prices."

  • "There was a problem with the heating and cooling system which caused cool air to be blown on us. When we asked if something could be done. The waiter said it is all automated and nothing could be done. It is something they experience everyday about the same time and was supposed to stop shortly. It was annoying and started past the point where it was convenient to move. If they knew this was going happen, I didn't understand why they sat us there. It was later in the evening and more than half the restaurant was available. My rib eye steak however was absolutely perfect and I was very impressed with the seasoning. It was delicious!!"

  • "McCormick's Fish House was a disappointment. It has been almost 15 years since we were there last. It seemed like the menu offerings haven't really changed in all these years. The different items ordered by our group of six , Caesar salad with grilled salmon, Mahimahi, fish and chips etc were at best just average. Wines by the glass although decent selection were over priced. Asking $9.75 for a glass of Malbec that normally retails for $8.00/btl in local stores is highway robbery. I would not recommend going to a chain restaurant."

  • "The prices are too high for the quality of the food. Not likely to return."

  • "We dined at 4 PM and it was great. The restaurant was not very crowded and there was not a long wait for anything! Our server was great and made us feel special. Management is always hands on and personal. The food was fantastic and a good value!"

  • "Our experience here (Hillsdale Hwy location) was fair. We waited 40 minutes for our order to arrive at our table-WAY too long. Manager came to table and was most apologetic and remedied the matter as best she could. Waiter seemed cool and quite indifferent to the long wait. We believe this was an isolated incident, and would return as the food is very good and we usually enjoy this restaurant very much. As to the noise level-the only "noise" I heard came from another waiter, who seemed to think that speaking at a loud and "overly friendly" level to his patrons was desirable..."

  • "Great neighborhood spot. Super good happy hour, solid wine list and while the service can be slow sometimes, a bottle of wine forgives time especially when the food is so delicious."

  • "Waiter was slow. Sold us a extra starch when the dinner came with one. A large group came in and were sitted right next to us and the kids were so loud we couldn't even talk to each other over dinner."

  • "Hadn't been here for a long time but my husband wanted to go since he is a seafood lover and there aren't that many truly good restaurants in Beaverton. Had a wonderful time. Our server, Sean, was very attentive and remembered things mentioned during the first part of our evening we wanted toward the end of our meal and was always at the ready to fulfill our needs; friendly and amicable without being "in your face." The food was excellent and, if anything, under-salted, which was a nice change from other establishments where they go a little heavy on the seasoning. I am a vegetarian and the chef created a dish that was quite appetizing and not the usual bunch of noodles. We will definitely be back."

  • "This restaurant was LOUD, it was very difficult to hear my date. My burger arrived completely soaked through with grease and was almost in edible. I was really impressed with how much they could charge me for this whole disaster."

  • "Noise level is moderate which helps with being able to have conversations without screaming. Food options are extensive. Lots of great options - something for everyone. Love the side dishes too - creamed spinach! Grilled asparagus! Lots of fish options. Bread brought to table before meal. Superb service."

  • "Crowded, food tasty but over salted. Waiter recommended a good Chardonay ( the best part of the meal) Good fresh oysters. Not worth the $150.00 spent for two people. I will stick with happy hour here."

  • "You can metaphorically set your watch to McCormick's for fantastic service, good food, and great seafood. It's a perfect spot for group lunch or dinner as the menu will have plenty to offer for everyone, and it's never too noisy. That reliability comes at the expense of an adventurous menu for foodies, and old favorites have remained unchanged on the menu for decades, but I've never been disappointed and truly I'm always very happy when I leave. It's one of the few places we go at least twice a year."

  • "McCormick's Beaverton (what I always thought of as the poor step-child of McCormick's/Jakes) has become a rare treat on the west side with classic dishes that are amazing every time and half an hour less driving. I love the wooden ceilings and traditional wooden booths with the outer wear hangers right on the end of the booths. A fireplace and staff who know their stuff! The best part is that it's always good. Who knew??"

  • "We were first seated in a very small room at a tiny table and it was cold and drafty. We asked to be moved to a booth. After we were seated again, it seemed to take the waiter a long time to get our order. He was hopping around to other tables. We ordered an appetizer: shrimp kisses, bottle of wine and dinner. The wine and appetizer were good. The entree was fair. My steak was medium rare, I asked for Medium and the spinach was very salty. My husband wasn't impressed with the portion size of an entree that cost $25!"

  • "My husband and I really enjoy going to McCormicks whether it's for happy hour (you can't beat their hamburger & fries) or a special occasion. The food is consistently good. The salmon is my favorite and their house salad with fresh greens, candied walnuts, blue cheese, and the most delicious white balsamic vinaigrette tops the list , too. I love the relaxed atmosphere and that I can wear my jeans or dress up if I choose.. You can't go wrong here."

  • "Really small table. cold potatos and Broc bugs flying around. people next to us had to put napkins over the wind glass to keep the flying bugs out. Really small round tables bairley large enough for two peoples plates had to play rotating plates to have room on the table food. The fish was very good. I was asked when I made the reservation (on-line) anything special about tonight. Told them it was our 44th year anniversary. Thought maybe we would get a flower or something nada. Got a congrats when we checked in but that was it and it was Valantines day to boot. Perhaps my expatitions were too high."

  • "Excellent Arugula salad.. fresh, crisp with beets and just the right dressing...not drenched. Excellent Oysters on the half shell. Fresh, small and delicious Sea scallop entree with lobster mashed potatoes and spinach. Scallops cooked perfectly... just seared with a light seasoned butter. Lobster mashed potatoes were unremarkable as was the spinach. Rib eye steak entree was unremarkable. Cooked medium rare with a sweet seasoning that detracted from what should be a flavorful cut of beef. Creme brulee was very good. Excellent caramelized sugar top was crunchy and caramel without being burned. Fresh berries added a nice tart counter to the sweet custard."

  • "The only good thing about this place was the lady at the front desk. She was excited upbeat and made u feel more than welcome. When we got to our table the waiter was the slowest person ever. Finally brought our drinks but took 10 extra minutes to simply fill my water glass when water was all I got to drink in the first place. We then ordered an appetizer, the crab cakes. For 14.99 u got one single crab cake. Not a splitable appetizer like the description said. Tho there was only one that was the only good part to the meal. Dinner took forever to get and was just ok. would rather have spent my money at Portland city grill where they made u feel welcome, the food is amazing and u get a view."

  • "I was coming into town to meet with a few friends and family. I was able to reserve a table online at McCormick's. I've always loved the place. I've frequently had the same excellent wait staff. I love it that they keep them on and don't just hire cheap college help. The food is great, tables are nice, I highly recommend it."

  • "Had reservations and were sat in a booth in what looked like an occasion room off the bar. Felt like overflow, not part of the main dining area. No table clothes on the table. Nothing special, considering it was a $200 meal with appetizer, wine and dessert."

  • "This has been a favorite restaurant for the fish variety on the menu when we've eaten here in the past. This time, it was just the "run of the mill" fish selection with salmon, trout, cod, etc., with no swordfish, sturgeon or chilean sea bass which we've seen offered in the past. For a Friday evening, they seemed short-staffed as the wait for even water after we were seated was pretty long. Our salads took quite a while to arrive also and our waiter seemed very rushed and didn't ever return to ask how the food was, to refill our water glasses, to see if we wanted more bread, or to check in with us until the end of our meal. I think this was a fluke, at least I hope so, as it wasn't quite as nice of an evening out for dinner as in the past."

  • "Occasionally we go to McCromick's Fish House. Generally we buy certificates from Costco and save at least 20% off their menu price. The food is very good, the fish is fresh and we find that it is a nice change from our usual haunts. It is a good sturdy faire of American-style cuisine, which can be a nice change."

  • "We dined here for lunch and were not disappointed! The service was fantastic and the food out of this world! We shared the salmon sautee and the fish tacos and both were prepared beautifully and tasted great! Our server took great care of us and we even had a visit from the manager! Can't wait to return."
