After undergoing a recent remodel, the restaurant is once again fresh and vibrant. The designer has mixed in contemporary finishes with traditional Chicago (ala Frank Lloyd Wright) with the use of stained glass and warm colors. The use of glass vases to create several color pops offers a nice compliment to the overall design. On a nice day, the huge patio would be wonderful to enjoy (the evening we visited, it was too cold). Our server was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the menu. Seafood was fresh. Our only suggestion, is improving outside signage and visibility as it would be easy to not notice the restaurant from the street (either when walking or driving). That was a bit upsetting since we had specified we had concert tickets, so we were time-limited. But they were very nice to us once a table opened and the food was great. We had tickets for a show at the Chicago Theater which is just around the corner, and this place worked out perfectly, complete with inexpensive valet so we didn't have to move the car, pay for parking twice or take a cab.

Staff was very pleasant and attentive from the time we walked in the door. Service was on par for a fine dining restaurant. The decor of the restaurant, including the stained glass Chicago skyline added to the experience. Menu was fairly extensive with a large selection of seafood and a decent wine list. Appetizers were tasty and well presented (oysters and crab cake). Entree service was additionally well timed and well presented. Highly recommend the pretzel encrusted walleye which was a fresh fillet cooked to perfection. Will definitely attend again when in Chicago.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AM
