portions were on the smaller size but just enough to allow us to share a desert and not feel as if we ate too much.

The meat was overlooked and had MSG in it because I have a sensitivity to it and. Caused my blood pressure to spike. I did not sleep as a consequence. I did not ask as I should but I thought that Mc Cormicks would never use MSG in there food preparations.
Would I return? No.

They gave us a great table and the service was exceptional. I even made a request for subsitution and the chef and staff accomodated my request without hesitation and by doing so it truly made a difference. My dinning guest was nearly an hour late, but the waitress did not appear disturbed or put off by it. Our party arrived around 4 PM (since my family is ALWAYS early). The hostess quickly checked us in and told us it would be a few moments before we were seated. 30 minutes later we were finally seated after my MOM asked how much longer it would be. Now normally this wouldnt have been an issue; however, there were MANY open tables and people who didnt have reservations were seated immediately. I had requested a "window booth", and all the window booths were mostly empty. I should state that my husband does not walk well and uses a cane, and was most upset that she walked us all the way through the restaurant. Service was great! They seated us immediately and our waitress, Veronica, was fantastic. The Blue Crab Dip and the Shrimp Kisses were a delicious start. The Almond Crusted Rainbow Trout was wonderful. We also had Stuffed Shrimp that was cooked to perfection, the Cedar Roasted Atlantic Salmon with a Northwest Berry Sauce, Fish Tacos, the Baked Cod, and Shrimp Mac and Cheese. The waiter also mentioned a new drink the Pomegranate Fizz which was good. Overall our experience at McCormick and Schmick's was wonderful. We were promptly seated, given special, keepsake menues and seated at a nice table by a window. There was a slight delay in receiving our server's attention, but he made up for it in by being engaging and informative. The food was superior and the service was great. Unfortunately, like a lot of staples in the community, "familiarity breeds contempt". McCormack and Schmick became lazy and disconnect. I'm happy to say that they're back to their first love. Great service and food.
Obviously, one goes there for the seafood. On this day, I ordered the lobster bisque soup. This course has large chunks of Maine lobster with a broth poured at the table. It's a great starter. My main course was just the Lobster Cobb salad. It's a work of art. There are multiple levels stacked on the plate in a rainbow of colors and flavors.
