Because a friend of mine wanted to meet after work for dinner and the Troy location was convenient to her, I thought we could use the gift card for McCormick & Schmick's that was promised to me by the dining room manager after a poor experience with my previous dinner. (November 7, 2014) But the gift card never arrived and now I wonder if all these efforts at feedback and the promise of a gift card are worth anything at all.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner on Sunday November 9 which McCormick & Schmick's Seafood were observing Veteran's Day. We found the Lobster Bisque most exceptional along with the rest of the dinner, and the Cream Brulee was a nice finish. The cocktails were also great. We will definitely be back! Two of us had the Blackened Chicken Fettuccini; both plates had noodles that were rubbery, starchy, and sticky to the point that they were inedible. We explained the issue to the server and she took them away and sent over a manager; the manager offered to remake them but we did not want to wait for another attempt so we told her we did not want the dishes remade or replaced with another dish. My wife had the Parmesan Encrusted Chicken; the chicken was rubbery and had an extremely unpleasant texture. She did not complain when the manager was at the table and we paid for that meal. The restaurant removed the fettuccini meals from our bill and comped our soups. The soup, bread, and Shrimp Trilogy dinner were very good.

Fish and Chips. Fish was more like a chicken strip, not light and tasty at all. My wife had the seafood and her potatoes were cold. I also think you need to look at your prices, $3.25 for a tea bag and hot water?

Thank you for recognizing veterans every year with a free meal. Many of us Vietnam veterans were treated either very badly or shunned when we returned to our homes. There weren't any parades or recognition of vets for a long time. I appreciate those corporations that go the extra mile to appreciate and recognize the sacrifices vets made. The waiters and staff made our party of 10 feel special. Thank you!

Came here to have a Veteran's Day meal with my family and extended family. We had a good time visiting with one another, and the ambiance was good. The food overall was good, the Veteran's menu was small, which equated with the small portions of food served from it. But, overall, it was a good time.

Three out of four of us were pretty satisfied with their dinner, Mine was free for veterans day and I salute them for this opportunity, but was not fully saisfied. Had i been paying for this grilled salmon, i would have returned it for re doing or a replacemnt. I did not do this, as my wife and I were with two fairly new aquaintances and the selection was free to me.

We are regular diners at McCormick and Schmick's. We also belong to their dining reward club. Not only is the food excellent, but the service is wonderful. We go to Happy Hour once a week, and dine in the regular dining room as well. We held a party at the restaurant, and received the same excellent service and food. The company has a heart for Veterans. They give a free meal to Veterans the Sunday before Veterans Day. This isn't just a snack, but a complete meal! We applaud McCormick and Schmicks for their generosity and thoughtfulness! We give them an A+

  • Elegant Yet Casual - They Love Veterans!!!

We love this restaurant. First time we went was years ago for Veterans Day. Since then, we have gone many, many more times and find it is one of the most wonderful restaurants ever. Hubby and I are both Veterans of the USAF and greatly appreciate the lovely meals we are treated to every Veterans Day. The free meals are so good. Shrimp, steak, salmon, wonderful sides and great selections. They don't "cheapen" the menu because it's free. You get the same high quality food as if it were any other day. Thanksgiving dinner there is also well worth every cent! Birthdays are also a lot of fun. You can dress up or down. I don't mean you should dress like a slob, but it's the kind of place where elegance or casual is all acceptable. There are tables and booths and if you would like to have privacy, there are romantic alcoves available. Anniversary dinners or parties at M & S are great. The decor is so warm and cozy. Hubby was having a major surgery on a Tuesday. I brought him to McCormick and Schmick's for a super dinner the Sunday before. We were given a free appetizer and a very special price on a bottle of wine. The manager came to our table and wished hubby all the best and offered all his best, along with his prayers. How wonderful. :) You just can't go wrong with McCormick and Schmick's!!! Yum, yum!!! :)

My husband and I love this restaurant. Whenever we come to Troy from Toronto, we make a reservation at McCormick & Scmick's. The location is great, the service is impeccable and the food is delicious. This meal was for my birthday. I sm gluten free and dairy free. When our waitress told me that I could have a dessert in honour of my birthday, I figured that there was no dessert that I could eat, which is so often the case. Our waitress, however, went into the kitchen and when she came out, she advised me that I was going to get a slice of flourless, chocolate cake, which is not on the menu. There was no way that she could have known that this is my favourite dessert. She really made my meal incredible.

Dinner arranged for my 60th birthday, restaurant was aware. Both my & my Mother's food was cool, not warm. We both had the squash risotto, squash was not cooked well. My Father's steak was not done as well as requested. Wait staff took it back. After 10 minutes, we had to ask the Manager where it was. With such a long wait, we could only imagine they were cooking another (med rare). Same steak came back, so they warmed more....meaning it sat there during this time frame. The Manager did ask us how our meal was, we were truthful, expressing the above comments. He just commented that there may have been inexperienced staff. I will return, as we are Landry members, but this time I was disappointed.

Enjoyed a spur of the moment dining experience. Had a taste for seafood and McCormick & Schmick's filled the need nicely. The pretzel crusted walleye and the parmesan crusted flounder were both excellent. The pumpkin cheesecake was light and airy, a perfect finish to a very nice visit.

We went here for our 10th wedding anniversary. Very impressed with all the woodworking and stained/leaded glass throughout. We were greeted and wished a happy anniversary, but disappointed to be seated out in the middle at a table and not something more intimate considering the occasion, as well as getting a young and seemingly inexperienced server. But we got past it and were not disappointed with the food or the timeliness of each course. So, other than our own person expectations of how our romantic evening should be, overall there is nothing to find negligible on the restaurant itself other than we had hoped for a little more special consideration for the occasion.

Service could have been a little more prompt than what they were....this forced our wedding party guests to purchase from the dinner menu instead of the lunch menu. When we arrived at 3:30pm (our reservation was for 3pm but we called stating that we were behind schedule), we were given dinner menu's and not lunch menu's and told after our order was finally taken quite some time after 4pm that the lunch menu could not be ordered off of.... It took every bit of 20 plus minutes to have bread brought to the table and drink orders taken as well....

The place is nice, lovely dark wood decor and the service was fine but unfortunately, the food was definitely not worth the money. We had two appetizers - the crab tower and the shrimp kisses. The shrimp kisses were good (as were the onion rings that came with it) but I cook with crab often and I'm quite sure that the crab was canned. Ditto for the crab in the crab and corn chowder so in other words, we weren't impressed from the start. Next, we all ordered fish entrees and they were mediocre. I had herb encrusted perch which was very bland. Nothing special and definitely not worth the $$. For dessert, the creme brulee was good but I can't say the same for the Spanish coffee.
