  • "Our first visit to McCormick & Schmick's and not disappointed! The menu offers something up for everyone (including non-seafood dishes), & we were really liked the patio setting (so did our doggies). I enjoyed the deliciously prepared Parmesan crusted Flounder with a side of Butternut squash orzo & husband enjoyed the Salmon with an interesting coating, perfectly prepared. We agreed that Salmon being such a flavorful fish to begin with should have just been ordered pan seared or broiled, it didn't need the coating on top (which is easily removable should you decide that). Our server was friendly and knowledgeable and we do plan to return."

  • "The food was much better than it was when we visited back in November. The music selection leaves something to be desired."

  • "We have always had great seafood at. McCormick & Schmick's. The kitchen did get backed up & our food took a little longer to come out. The manager did drop by our table to apologize. We were not comped in any way."

  • "High price small portions &33.00 = 3 grill shrimp, 3 breaded shrimp, 3 stuffed shrimp, and a small piece of salmon. Very small shrimp looked like a appetizer."

  • "The parmesan crusted flounder was very good. The service was excellent. Am only familiar with it as a dinner location, but would recommend it for that purpose."

  • "This was a very pleasant lunch and my crispy fish tacos were delicious-- served with a cilantro ranch sauce which I enjoyed. I thought the corn and bean salad was fine- not extraordinary- but it was a nice complement. Service was professional and efficient- the atmosphere cool, dark and appealing."

  • "The food and ambiance was nice. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary. There were some nice touches, happy anniversary printed on our menus and a dessert without charge. However, for the amount I paid there was not enough food. The crab tower was not seasoned. I expected more. Was good but not great."

  • "This is the second bad experience in a row. Won't go back anymore. No professional waiters. So and so food. 91 sanitation score."

  • "Lovely spot for a birthday celebration. Excellent server (sorry I cannot remember her name). I will definitely be back again and again."

  • "Food was over priced for the quality and quantity provided. 6 oz. filet was much better at Texas Land & Cattle or Texas Road House. Also, the wedge salad was not as good as Texas Land & Cattle; the blue cheese dressing was not up to par."

  • "Arrived on time and hostess showed us to a table even though I requested a booth. She then took us to a booth. We both ordered the shrimp trilogy . The shrimp weren't much larger than salad shrimp. The fried shrimp were butterflied to make them seem bigger, the stuffed shrimp were so small that the stuffing sat on top. We still don't know what the stuffing was made of. The shrimp scampi had no flavor, they should try adding some garlic. For $26 a plate, this meal was greatly overpriced."

  • "Dined during restaurant week so we expected delays but was pleasantly surprised. We were immediately seated and greeted by our waiter Stephen. Stephen was a gem and treated us like we were the only ones in the restaurant. One complaint though was the special.menu for restaurant week. It was not verun appealing as most of our group ordered off the main.menu. We have been to many different restaurants in Charlotte during Queensfeast and this was the first menu we were disappointed with. But Stephen and the food saved our night out. When we return, we will make sure we get Stephen, even if we have to wait."

  • "4 of us ate here during Restaurant Week, and found the food fresh and delicious. I was surprised at how great the dessert was, since the emphasis is on fish. Service was great."

  • "My husband and I visited the other night for our first time. We were extremely disappointed and will not go back. I had ordered their a special: 6oz steak topped with crab, with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. $35 for the plate. The steak was okay but very bland with little flavor. I've have better steaks at Texas Roadhouse. It was challenging to even find the crab meat, so little was put on it. Over all with both our meals we did not feel they were worth the price. Pretty disappointed."

  • "McCormick & Schmicks was a very nice time with the family. Little dissapointed in a restaurant like that didn't have a blender for mix drink my wife asked for, but over all food was Great. Left feeling sleepy and very satisfied..."

  • "We went for the restaurant week special menu and felt as though the value was really not good. This was our first time at this restaurant and we decided if we went back it would be to try the lunch menu. It was not busy at all while we were there (from 6:15 PM to 8:00 PM). We did enjoy the bourbon glazed salmon (my husband felt the portion was very small for the price) but just felt it was too expensive for the offering compared to other restaurants."

  • "I've eaten at numerous M&S restaurants around the country and have always found them to be reliably good, if not excellent. The M&S at Southpark is not worth your money or time. I had booked for a party of 10 for restaurant week, which I knew could be risky. I thought it might be crowded and we might not get the kind of service I'm used to M&S. However, it wasn't crowded. It was even on the slow side, but the service was terrible. We waited for an hour before getting our salads. Our entrees (off the restaurant week menu) were not very good. The beef medallions were tough. The servings of the salmon were generally small. The mashed potatoes were cold. We had to wait a long time for dessert. My advice is, don't go to this M&S."

  • "Very disappointing experience. I specifically requested that my swordfish be cooked THOROUGHLY. It was NOT. Took a long time to get the waitress to send it back. By the time I found her agian to ask her to check on it my potato's and veggies were cold. When I got them replaced the swordfish was cold. Thsi meal should have been REPLACED in it's entirety from the beginning, rather than just take the swordfish off the plate. I've never heard of a restaurant doing anything like that before! I'll NEVER return to that restaurant!"

  • "Dining at McCormick & Schmidt made for a delightful evening for our celebration. The staff was very cordial , the service excellent, the ambience tasteful & the food scrumptious. The restaurant week special was icing on the cake. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience & everyone made our celebration very special"

  • "I had been told that McCormick & Schmick's was the place to go. I wasn't disappointed, but it wasn't exactly how I thought it was going to be. The menu for restaurant week didn't really have anything that appealed to my taste, so I had to get something off the regular menu. The taste of what I got was good, but I felt that the amount of food I received just wasn't enough for the price of the entree. Like I said, the meal wasn't terrible, just not what I was expecting."

  • "Our total experience was exceptional! Our waiter was poised, knowledgeable, and polished. The food was fantastic from the gazpacho soup, to the divine marlin. I have never had marlin before but I must say it was one of the best fish I've eaten; the waiter was right, it was delicious. And to end the meal I had the upside down apple pie - super yummy, especially with the hot cup of decaf. Ooh la-la, a wonderful dining experience!!!"

  • "This was our 3rd time having dinner here during restaurant week and it was not as charming as first 2 visits. At 7 PM on this Friday night the restaurant had quite a few empty tables (usually busy) we were seated by a bright and noisy front window over looking parking lot. My husband had beef medallions - served as a kids portion size. My salmon was delicious but smothered in butter sauce. We both had Caesar salads that were average. Dessert was our favorite part - up side down apple cake & creme brulee. The waitress was pushing us to try an extra appetizer in addition to our 3 course restaurant week meals - perhaps she knew how small portions would be? Under new ownership - think we'll try another restaurant for the winter restaurant week"

  • "We got confused and thought this was a fine dining restaurant. Actually, it's a very loud chain restaurant with mediocre food where you don't have to change after working on the car. The seafood is nothing special and the filet Mignon is artificially flavored with no warning on the menu. They don't even sell a baked potato. We won't go back."

  • "Great food and great service what more do you need? We actually arrived during happy hour and was able to enjoy some great conversation and wine before our reservation time. The staff was so helpful, you could tell they really enjoyed their jobs and took ownership in the food and service they provide."

  • "Really really not impressed with standard of food for such a pricey restaurant. I had the almond crusted rainbow trout, which is usually the delicious safe go-to at most high-end restaurants. However, the trout was incredibly bad…something I would expect to get at a lowly discount restaurant."

  • "The food here was good but nothing special. Started with calamari which was not fresh. One entrée was a pasta dish with salmon. Rather ordinary. The other entrée, a fish special, was much better. The service was good. Wine portions were a bit small."

  • "Four members in our party of six ordered Eggs Benedict and all four orders arrived at our table over-cooked (eggs were hard-boiled). Problems with orders always detracts from a dining experience. People with food feel awkward eating their meal, dishes gets cold, etc. The manager did the right thing and did not charge us for the orders with problems, but it was disappointing to have this type of experience at a fine-dining restaurant like M&S. p.s. It also took two-hours to complete service and the restaurant was not crowded."
