We thought the food was very good. Sides came with the entree. Blue crab dip was excellent. It was our anniversary and our waiter gave us free desserts. He was very good. Our menus had Happy Anniversary at the top. Many nice touches.

We eat at McCormick about 8 times a year. Enjoy the atmosphere, love the food, and appreciate the high quality of service. Being able to secure reservations on-line is a benefit to me. My wife & I look forward to pleasant evenings at McCormick and then meandering around the South Side Works area.

So sad that one would have a reservation, announce that they have arrived, early even, and still not be seated minutes after stated reservation time. Then, a hostess cam and asked if we were waiting for a table. gee, that's just really poor. I had to ask 3 times for more water, the wine requested was not available and the staff forgot to tell us that after twice requesting our wine. The food was pretty good, honestly, but is this the best M&S can do for service? Embarrassing.

It has been a while since I have been to McCormick and Schmick's. The food was wonderful. They have great seafood selections. My son ordered a filet mignon and it was exceptional. The service was a little slow, but our waiter couldn't have been nicer or more professional. It was a great night out for my older family.

I only come to this restaurant for special occasions and normally it is for lunch. They hang both the lunch and dinner menus outside so that you can see you are paying much more for most of the same items for dinner. I, myself, prefer lunch but since was a birthday dinner I went. I recently learned they give 10% off your check if you are an AARP member. My girlfriend received a birthday dessert with her meal. I ordered the $24.99 dinner special which comes with either a soup or salad, entree, and dessert. Please note this special is only available Sun-Thurs evenings only. When I got my check I noted it was all broken up and discount not applied. Had to get that fixed. Will probably come here only for lunch. Food okay but not my cup of tea.

The choice I made was one I had longed for all day.....Sea Scallops asr a treat and the prep style was all to my liking.....the dish did not live up to its billing; served close to cold and swilling in old. A dopuble threat. But I told most of it home; drained and reheated it and the flavos were good. Shame, because I was intending to eat IN the restaurant.

Food was in general good...I ordered blackened tuna and it was drier than I would have liked. I. Have been to several McCormick & SChmicks restaurants, and while I would still recommend this location, it is not as good as the McCormick & Schmicks in Bellevue, WA.

I was rather disappointed in the experience. There seemed to be a lot of small children in the restaurant and rather than it feeling like a "special" dinner out, it felt more like a trip to a Chuck E. Cheese. There was a good bit of foot traffic around our table as well. I had a much more enjoyable evening at the Downtown Location a few weeks ago.

My husband and I, both, celebrated our combined birthdays on a Tuesday evening. We were surprised as to how fast we were waited on and how quickly we received our food. My husband can't stop talking about how good his dinner was. Mine was every bit as good. We were pleasantly surprised as to how not "over the top" the prices were. I am looking forward to our return visit!

This experience was average. The greeter acted as though we were inconveniencing him despite a nearly empty restaurant. The waiter was very good early but quickly became overly busy and took awhile to get attention about request for bill. Food was way too salty. Disappointing. At best, an experience like a mid tier restaurant chain.

My husband and I both had the Ultimate Mixed Seafood Grill, when placed on the table it was arranged nicely on our plates. We thought it may not have been enough food for my husband at first because he's a big eater. Not only was it way more than enough food for him, but he could not stop talking about how it was the best seafood meal he had eaten at any restaurant in a long time, and we are "big on eating seafood" when we go out to eat. It was our anniversary, and I must say, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience, and service we had at McCormick and Schmick's Seafood Restaurant. Personally we would highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back again.

Neither the food or the service were up to the standard that we have experienced in the past at any of the Landry's Restaurants, both in and out of the Pittsburgh market. Perhaps it was an off night, or just the specific individuals we interacted with- but will most likely dine elsewhere next time. There are simply too many good choices available within walking distance to excuse the level of food quality and service. To be clear: if the food was served timely and servers were willing to return to the table so guests could order another glass of wine, this review would most likely have a different tenor.

We went on a Sunday evening with reservations for two - seated right on time. Good strong drinks. Calamari was delicious while Maine lobster bisque was too salty. Entrees of beef medallions/lobster tail and whole Maine lobster were both excellent. Unfortunately our waiter had told us that my entree did not come with veggies so I ordered the mashed potatoes with lobster. Entrees came with roasted potatoes so we had lots of potatoes to eat. Server should have been more aware or not intentionally steering us wrong to pad the bill...I hope it was the first. Both entrees were cooked perfectly and delicious. Surprise "Birthday" dessert was delicious also. Server was pleasant and engaging. Very nice and enjoyable overall.

We were very disappointed in the food at McCormick and Schmick. We took our mother out for the evening in hopes of having a great meal. We had to ask for bread, the portions were small and the quality of the food was just ok. Our bill was 200$. We felt we could have gone to another restaurant and received a much better meal and experience for that price. We won' t go back.

Pre-dinner mojitos and margarita flatbread were good, but the salmon in the seafood trio of salmon and 2 types of shrimp was melt-in-your-mouth sumptuous! Orzo was good. Too full for the shrimp stuffing and no room for dessert! Would eat here more often if the calorie counts were lower.

My boyfriend and I go out to eat all the time. We got gift cards here so we thought we would go. I will never go back. It was disgusting. First of all it's not cheap. Our bill was $119 for both of us which we don't mind paying when the food is good but it wasn't. I got the sea bass and risoto. I needed a knife to cut my fish. That's not ok. And the risoto was over done and heavy. I could hardly eat my meal. My boyfriend got the cordia and crab. He could hardly eat it as well. This is supposed to be a seafood restaurant however they do not know how to cool seafood. We will never go back and neither should you. They city has many more amazing options!

This was our first time in Pittsburgh, I chose our dining destination on line when I saw that it was restaurant week. The menu selection looked good. The steak and lobster was my husband's meal. His steak was cold and not very flavorful, he said the lobster was delicious. I chose the scallops, which were pretty good, the green vegetable side was not good at all. My meal was very small, 4 scallops and some of the green veggie which I didn't eat. I didn't like that there wasn't a potato with it. I felt it was overpriced for the quality. Our server wasn't very good, he made several small mistakes for which he kept kindly apologizing. I don't think we were the only ones either, I heard him apologizing to the next table also!

Because I was treating 2 guests to dinner that night, I did not want them to think I had brought them to a bad restaurant, so I didn't say anything about the lobster tail I ordered, but it was not satisfactory to me. It was so tough and had no taste at all. I have eaten lobster tail at many other restaurants and it was never tough. My guests seemed to like their meal, so overall it the dinner was fine, but I was disappointed and will not return to your restaurant.

I was on a business trip to Pittsburgh. My family is close by. We decided to pick a spot close for all of us to meet. All of us LOVE seafood. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. Our server was friendly. The food was terrific. We started with a shrimp appetizer (shrimp in bacon). It was very good. I had the halibut. The portion was right on the money for me. My sister and I had the chocolate bag. We should have shared one! Our server was attentive, but still managed to give us time to talk. I would tell my friends to give this place a try.
