I took my wife this Southside Works Seafood restaurant for our 10 year anniversary. We were previously regulars of another local Seafood place but have tired of their increased prices, smaller portions and everything being ala carte. We each had a nice glass of Red Sangria and started it off with a couple of oysters, a first for my wife. We then ordered the swordfish and mahi and mahi, each with crabmeat. Both were served with great vegetables and pototoes and were healthy portions. I was excited because I usually get to finish whatever my wife orders, but in this case, her swordfish was so good that she finished everything on her plate. The food was awesome and the setting was very pleasant. We really enjoy the Southside Works district and will be back toMcCormick and Schmick's.

The food was good. We both ordered tilapia. It came with a crumb topping and a butter rum sauce. The bottom crust on the fish was very well done. We pretty much scraped it off. Server came to table frequently, but we had to ask for several things.

Seafood very good - a little pricey. My daughter's fish portion and dinner wasn't very filling but crab cakes and husbands platter excellent. Clam chowder excellent also but for $5.99 expected a little more soup.

Went for a quiet evening. Both specials that we had picked were sold out even after the server recommended both entrees upon us sitting down. Chose two standard entrees and were less than impressed with the quality of the food. The boullaibase seemed like it was a day old and the miso scallops were barely warmed through. The restaurant was less than busy and the ambiance was blah compared to the sister restaurant in town. Overall, I was disappointed in the quality of food and the ambiance. Our server was very sweet and quick to refill our wine glasses which was much appreciated.

We encountered very poor, amateur service. Did not see a server for more than 30 minutes after being seated. Only seen after finding a manager. Didnt get much better after that, service was very bad, food was not very good either. Over-priced for what you get. Very bad dining experience, which is the only thing M&S is consistent with. I've learned my lesson--no more dining at any M&S!

The tables were place so close to the others we could hear every conversation around us; and servers continually were bumping into me, which was incredibly irritating. This was amplified by the servers yelling across the room instead of walking 15 steps. Our server was inattentive and lacked the ability to provide service that should accompany spending +$100. The food was very good with the exception of the burnt flatbread.

It was a special treat receiving an invitation for a complimentary meal for Veterans Day. Our service and food were superb. We made reservations and did not have to wait more than 5 minutes for our table. The restaurant was busy, but you never would have known it by the considerate attention we received from our server. Nothing we asked for was a bother despite the fact the staff was hopping! The food was served hot and beautifully plated.

Thanks, McCormick and Schmick's, for honoring our Vets this past Sunday evening. We deeply appreciate it! It was great to see so many other Vets at the restaurant enjoying time with their families and friends over a great meal. The meal choices were quite impressive and more than expected. I had the beef medallions and they were prepared perfectly. My wife raved about the flounder and we both enjoyed the carrot cake. Service was truly exceptional! Though the restaurant had 900 reservations, we were seated within minutes of our reservation time, and were greeted by our server shortly after we were seated. He was polite, knowledgeable, and swift. He checked on us throughout the evening. We are definitely going back with friends!

First time at this location. Arrived at 1 PM , seated promptly as per reservation. Ordered one Salmon and one special Lobster and Filet, medium, dinner with chopped salads. Waited long time and dinner arrived before salads. Asked if still wanted salads, Arrived with dinner, not true chopped salad, probably rushed preparation. Salmon entre good, but lobster not cooked well, limp & mushy, beef too rare & chewy. Not well presented. Manager apologized. Did not charge for meal. Wanted to pay or at least pay half. Server nice but seemed rushed. Disappointed...not up to Mc Cormick & Schmick,s standards

This may be the first time I've offered a bit of negative criticism of this restaurant. It is our favorite seafood restaurant, but Saturday night was not up to the high standards that they set for themselves. Our food was rushed out of the kitchen, we barely had a minute to enjoy our appetizer, and our soup and salad where thrust upon us. My salmon entrée was extremely dry and overcooked, my wife's stuffed shrimp were like rubber tires. Not a good night at all, but not enough to diminish my enthusiasm for the restaurant and staff. Hopefully this isn't the new normal.

Wifey & I had reservations for 6:15pm - tried to change them to 5:30pm. Arrived at Southside location, and---no problem! They gladly accommodated us, and seated us in one of the best tables...! Our second time here, food just as delicious as the first time. We both had the steak and lobster tail special - an excellent treat! Our drinks (M&S Iced Tea and Sangria) were good-sized and delicious. Our server (Tim) explained the Landry Rewards card so well, I ended up getting one. Looking forward to our next visit.

We made reservations here for a special anniversary dinner. We were promptly seated, and then waited 15 minutes for a server. We almost left, but when the server came and apoligized, we ordered a drink and decided to stay. We should have left. The service was lackluster at its best. Server could not answer any questions on menu items. He told me my fish came by itself, so I ordered a $10 side of mashed potatoes. The entree came out served with mashed, and then my side as well. I mentioned to the waiter I wouldn't have ordered the side if he would have told me it came with when I asked. He said he promises they're good, enjoy. The food was excellent, but the table, waiter, portions, and overall experience was a big disappointment.

So sad that one would have a reservation, announce that they have arrived, early even, and still not be seated minutes after stated reservation time. Then, a hostess cam and asked if we were waiting for a table. gee, that's just really poor. I had to ask 3 times for more water, the wine requested was not available and the staff forgot to tell us that after twice requesting our wine. The food was pretty good, honestly, but is this the best M&S can do for service? Embarrassing.

I only come to this restaurant for special occasions and normally it is for lunch. They hang both the lunch and dinner menus outside so that you can see you are paying much more for most of the same items for dinner. I, myself, prefer lunch but since was a birthday dinner I went. I recently learned they give 10% off your check if you are an AARP member. My girlfriend received a birthday dessert with her meal. I ordered the $24.99 dinner special which comes with either a soup or salad, entree, and dessert. Please note this special is only available Sun-Thurs evenings only. When I got my check I noted it was all broken up and discount not applied. Had to get that fixed. Will probably come here only for lunch. Food okay but not my cup of tea.

The choice I made was one I had longed for all day.....Sea Scallops asr a treat and the prep style was all to my liking.....the dish did not live up to its billing; served close to cold and swilling in old. A dopuble threat. But I told most of it home; drained and reheated it and the flavos were good. Shame, because I was intending to eat IN the restaurant.
